This is a 2001 CR250 chassis with a 1988 CR500 engine installed. Bike was completely rebuilt in winter of 2014 and ridden twice. Engine is completely rebuilt - new bearings in the bottom end, new crank, rod and piston. Bike shifts clean through all gears, clutch is in good shape. Suspension rebuilt and revalved for 180lb rider, new swingarm, linkage and headset bearings. New tires with only the two rides on them. Do not have title, but will provide bill of sale.

I bought a complete cr500 and this roller was included in the sale. I have a clean CA title in hand. Everything you see in the pics is included. Original honda factory fenders. the bottom of the frame is not bent up or scrapped bad. there is a mark on the swing arm (see pic) from a chain derail, that might be why there is no motor..... This is the last year of the Honda big bore and they are getting rare. complete 2001 cr500s are worth 3k+ so if anyone has a motor sitting around here is a good opportunity. OKAY WHERE TO BEGIN!! THIS IS MY AS NEW FRESH BUILD CR500AF. THIS BADBOY IS BUILT ON A 2001 CR125 FRAME, WITH A 1994 CR500 ENGINE. THE BIKE HAS BEEN COMPLETLY GONE THROUGH. THE BIKE HAS ALL NEW PLASTICS, GRAPHICS. THE FRONT FORK SEALS REPLACED SWING ARM BUSHINGS ETC. THE ENGINE WAS GONE THROUGH, WITH TOTAL REBUILD, TOP AND BOTTOM END, WITH AROUND 10HRS ON IT. I COULDN'T RESIST HAD TO RIDE HER. YOU CAN DO THE MATH BUT IN 2001 THE CR125 WEIGHT WAS 192.9LBS, THE CR250 WAS 213.8LBS, AND THE CR500 WEIGHT WAS 222.7LBS, SO I DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU HOW WICKED FAST SHE IS!! IT IS VERY WELL BALANCED BIKE. THE GUY WHO BUILT HER HAS TONS OF EXPERIENCE IN DOING THESE CONVERSIONS, AS THIS ONE IS LIKE HIS 10TH ONE BUILT. HE KNOWS HIS BUSINESS. 2001 Honda CR500R engine. Came out of a running bike. The top end was removed for inspection and put back together but needs gaskets if you choose to run it as is. Has slight damage to the bolt boss for the sprocket cover from chain coming off, does not leak oil, easy fix, (see photos) Cylinder is .050 over, no damage, cases are 10/10 (aside from the bolt boss). Includes the full stock cr500 ignition system (coil, CDI, Stator flywheel), a stock 38mm PJ carb, an aftermarket 39.5mm PWK carb (with zipty racing air screw), The stock reed block and intake boot & an aftermarket Vforce 3 reed block with another stock intake boot (but modified for vforce reeds), Also included is a pentek CNC sprocket cover anodized black from the UK, and the kick and shift levers that came with the engine. Sorry, do not have an exhaust to go with it. I bought this engine used with the intentions of rebuilding it and building an AF conversion but have lost interest in the project. I do not know the hours or history of the engine, it ran when I bought it and thats all I know about it. This is a used running engine that is usable and I give no warranty.
