1976 KZ440 built into a Bobber with custom welded frame, solo seat, patina tank, drag bars, and more, the pictures show it all. Runs and rides great, and is easy to start. Full tune up, carburetors cleaned, oil changed, new chain and sprockets, new rear tire, front tire in good shape, come with battery maintainer with plug wired in, whole electrical system checked and repaired/updated where needed. Has 10285 original miles (that is the original 1976 speedometer and odometer in the picture) about 1000 mile since being converted into a Bobber. I've owned it for about 2 years now and has never given me any issues. Pretty much everything replaced when it was built into a Bobber. Has new handlebars, new clutch and break leavers, new grips as well. It is registered to me but in a state (Vermont) that does not issue titles to bikes older than 15 years, so the registration is signed over and acts as a title if your state requires it. I have done this before and it was a very easy process, no harder than if i had the regular title. Let me know if you have any questions or need any more pictures. It is a custom made 2010 frame up build bike using a Daytec Frame and a 124” S&S Twin Cam motor with a Baker transmission. The bike again incorporates the Klock Werks Double Back Header System and the Super Saver 4” mufflers. Great sound and performance from this show chrome quality combination. The front fender is a 21” all steel Benchmark Fender from Klock Werks. The fender is stretched an inch and a half longer than stock for a mores custom profile. The rear fender is the Klock Werks 6” stretched, frenched, all steel fender that incorporates our signature spade taillight for a clean and functional rear look. The turn-signals are also set into our custom steel filler panels, upper and lower, to continue the smooth clean lines that Klock Werks is famous for. The start of Panoz Auto Development actually began in Ireland where Danny Panoz first worked for a car company called Thompson Motor Company. "He always wanted to put a V8 in it," said John Leverett, the director of engineering for Panoz who gave me a tour of their facilities. "The original chassis had a 4-cylinder and they re-did the whole chassis to fit the V8." Using this chassis and a Ford V8 engine, Panoz went on to develop the roadster that he would eventually sell to the public. In 1990 Panoz moved the company from California to a 2000 sq-ft facility in Hoschton, Georgia that now serves as a small museum for Panoz featuring several cars that make up the history of Panoz and also as a parts storage and construction facility for the Esperante GTS racer. By this time the company had grown to seven employees and had finished a production version of the Roadster. The first customer car was delivered just two years later in 1992. The Roadster went basically unchanged until 1996 when it received several major updates. Renamed the AIV (aluminum intensive vehicle) Roadster because of its new lightweight aluminum frame, the new roadster featured leather and other such luxury items, a contrast with the original Roadster with had "no pretences to practicality." Handling improved with a new independent rear suspension, and 13-inch brakes stopped the approximately 2200 lb car in incredibly short distances. Driving Impressions Due to the uinque nature of this automobile's ultra low miles and extreme performance, we were granted only a brief controlled test drive, under close supervision. The car ran and drove to perfection. We have driven many high-performance cars in the past, but never one with this kind of direct connection to the road. The experience of driving an open vehicle with this level of acceleration and handling can only be compared to riding a high performance motorcycle. The feeling of being so close to the elements is unique and thrilling. Driving the AIV is the closest thing we have ever experienced to a four wheeled sport bike---instantaneous directional stability with the slightest input. The next official private owner of this car will undoubtedly agree this is the most fun you can have sitting down! The only thing missing is your racing helmet and driving gloves. Cosmetic Impressions Car is shown near showroom new and all that implies. We found no evidence of previous damage, abuse, or signifiicant scratches or dings. While new Camaros and Mustangs have a bit more horsepower and an extra gear, the AIV still competes with ultra light weight and a beautifully balanced chassis--even without modification. AIV O-60 times in the low 4 second range and a quarter mile in the low 13's complement the car's incredible handling. (212M) Brief Panoz History (taken from previous article) Ask the average person on the street if they've ever heard of a car company called Panoz and you probably won't get much of a response. In the automotive world, however, the name Panoz is well-known and is synonymous with cycle-fendered roadsters, elegant convertible GT cars, and a short but already amazing racing history. The start of Panoz Auto Development actually began in Ireland where Danny Panoz first worked for a car company called Thompson Motor Company. The company was eventually liquidated, and Danny decided to buy the rights to their chassis. Moving to California, Danny and a friend went to work on the chassis, modifying it so that it could fit a V8 engine. "He always wanted to put a V8 in it," said John Leverett, the director of engineering for Panoz who gave me a tour of their facilities. "The original chassis had a 4-cylinder and they re-did the whole chassis to fit the V8." Using this chassis and a Ford V8 engine, Panoz went on to develop the roadster that he would eventually sell to the public. In 1990 Panoz moved the company from California to a 2000 sq-ft facility in Hoschton, Georgia that now serves as a small museum for Panoz featuring several cars that make up the history of Panoz and also as a parts storage and construction facility for the Esperante GTS racer. By this time the company had grown to seven employees and had finished a production version of the Roadster. The first customer car was delivered just two years later in 1992. The Roadster went basically unchanged until 1996 when it received several major updates. Renamed the AIV (aluminum intensive vehicle) Roadster because of its new lightweight aluminum frame, the new roadster featured leather and other such luxury items, a contrast with the original Roadster with had "no pretences to practicality." Handling improved with a new independent rear suspension, and 13-inch brakes stopped the approximately 2200 lb car in incredibly short distances. In the automotive world, however, the name Panoz is well-known and is synonymous with cycle-fendered roadsters, elegant convertible GT cars, and a short but already amazing racing history. The start of Panoz Auto Development actually began in Ireland where Danny Panoz first worked for a car company called Thompson Motor Company. The company was eventually liquidated, and Danny decided to buy the rights to their chassis. Moving to California, Danny and a friend went to work on the chassis, modifying it so that it could fit a V8 engine. "He always wanted to put a V8 in it," said John Leverett, the director of engineering for Panoz who gave me a tour of their facilities. "The original chassis had a 4-cylinder and they re-did the whole chassis to fit the V8." Using this chassis and a Ford V8 engine, Panoz went on to develop the roadster that he would eventually sell to the public. In 1990 Panoz moved the company from California to a 2000 sq-ft facility in Hoschton, Georgia that now serves as a small museum for Panoz featuring several cars that make up the history of Panoz and also as a parts storage and construction facility for the Esperante GTS racer.
