Selling One Awesome Dakar. A Lot of recent mods. A friend and I went in 50/50 on this one for friends and family to use (we each have our own). I had some issues with my 05 that warranted me buying him out and using this one this past summer. We bought it at 8K and I put 1,699 on it. I just changed the oil and filter, added a flexible oil return line (insulated stainless braided hose), new center stand, low pressure steam clean, front and rear fender aluminum fender braces, Enerpulse Pulstar Plugs (I love these), New T63 Tires (I put my wheel sets on for the last 1699 K), FastAway Foot Pegs, Wunderlich Smoked Turn Signal Covers (discontinued), OEM Crash Bars and Bash Plate, and SAE battery charging cable installed. Not pictured BUT INCLUDED the stock Chain Guard /Possum Scrapper. The G 650 one looks cool and is a direct mount option (thinking about getting one for mine.) One of the last to actually be built in Austria. It makes a difference. It does. This comes from the owner of a VW that was made in Mexico and it is the biggest POS I have ever owned!

2001 BMW F 650 GS DAKAR

2001 BMW F 650 GS DAKAR, 2001 BMW F650GS Dakar with 1209 original miles, never abused, and minimally modified. I purchased this bike from the original owner a couple of years ago, with roughly 700 miles on it at the time. The bike has always been babied, garaged, and maintained. That said, I have not had that much time to ride the Dakar (obviously), but when I have, it has always been awesome. Great sounds, wonderful riding position, and a lot of fun both on and off road. In the time that I have had the bike, I have done the following: A&S "The Big One" service kit installed Shorai lithium ion battery w/ charger/keeper EBC front brake rotor DID gold chain PIAA's with custom mounts that I made (without modification to the motorcycle) SW-Motech center stand Dunlop 606 tires with about 150 miles on them. I also removed the majority of the decals that originally came on the bike (personal taste), I painted the gauge surround and windshield matte black, and also removed the skid plate/belly pan. Included with the bike are new fork seals (uninstalled), the original brake rotor, the skid plate/belly pan. a Nelson-Rigg lightweight cover, and a very comprehensive service and repair CD. The Dakar is cosmetically and mechanically excellent, with only one tiny mark on the bodywork, left of the headlight and one on the same side, but positioned at the saddle line, and practically unseen. Both are about the size of 1/2 a TicTac or less. Otherwise, I cannot imagine a nicer 2001 Dakar that has actually been ridden. This motorcycle is the real deal, a true collectors piece. Here I have a 2003 BMW F650 GS Dakar motorcycle. It is a duel sport and a real joy to ride. You can take it off road or just cruise around, it is great for both. It has very low mileage at just barely over 2500 miles and has been maintained very well. It runs fantastically and is in really nice shape. It's never been in an accident or even dropped. I have for sale my low mileage 2006 BMW F650GS Dakar. I just had the 6000 mile check up from San Francisco BMW completed a couple of days ago, which cost $680, and she has a clean bill of health. I had this done early so the new owner would not have deal with taking it in to get this done right after purchasing it. They replaced the brake pads, flushed fluid, changed the oil and filter, lubed and adjusted the chain, and checked the tension on all the crucial bolts and everything else that is done on a 6000 mile check up. The bike has heidenau k60 scout tires with I'm guessing around 40% of life left or longer on these long-wearing tires. The body has some minor nicks in the paint and plastic from normal road use. It has never been dropped and never been taken off road (other than a dirt road to take the pictures shown). She has a long life ahead of her and I'm sad that I must part ways. 2006 BMW F650GS Dakar. Got 21,XXX miles on it at this point. Had all it's scheduled maintenance called for in the manual (based on mileage milestones). I have most of the paperwork for oil changes etc. All maintenance has been done at Morton's BMW in Fredericksburg, VA. The bike has run like a top since I bought it. Had its 18K mileage service done in the last year. That included pretty much all fluids (oil, brakes etc).It's got brand new tubes and tires. Because it hasn't been ridden much since then, it should have the oil changed and a basic inspection done (chain maintenance etc). Other than that it's ready to ride. There are a few cosmetic scratches and the seat is worn out. The bike is ready to go and the seat can certainly still be ridden on. A new seat can be attained fairly easily, I just haven't done it as it doesn't really bother me. Price: Asking $4500 for the bike. This includes a spare set of tires (knobbies). Two helmets. Multiple coats and a cold weather suit.
