The Bitter SC was available with a 3 litre inline six or a 3.9 litre inline six cylinder engine. Bitter announced that it would enter the US market with a limited amount of cars offered for sale through Buick dealership under a limited marketing agreement with GM. The Bitter automobile company started struggling by the mid 1980’s and SC production ceased in 1989 after just 460 SC’s were built in total. European Motor Studio is proud to offer this 1985 Bitter SC 3.9 Coupe’ finished in a Grey Metallic over a Red/Orange colored leather VIN W09526219FSB09194. This Bitter SC Coupe left the Bitter production line in March of 1985 where it was then invoiced and sent to North America. This car has traveled only 43,489 miles from new and has a Box A actual miles title. Having the spent the last 14 years in Southern CA and believed to be a Southern CA car from new this Bitter SC Coupe has had one repaint in its original color and shows very nicely. The paint still has a very nice deep luster to it and shows very well for its age. There are a few stone chips under the lower rocker areas behind the wheels and a couple hairline cracks in the paint around the front and rear windshield. The body is very nice and straight and does not show any signs of prior damage or collision damage. The undercarriage is very nice and rust free. The exterior chrome and trim show well and are all intact and damage free. The glass is all nice and appears to be original; the windshield is free from any cracking or pitting but does show some delamination in the lower passenger side. The leather interior is in gorgeous condition and still very soft and supple. All of the door panels, leather seats, and dashboard and center console are all showing exceptionally well (there is some shrinkage on the upper part of the dashboard around the defroster vents. The carpets are original and completely stain and damage free. The headliner is all original and does have three tears in it as shown in the pics below. The wood center console and upper dash shows very well and does not have any cracking or chipping of any kind and still retains a nice brown color. All of the gauges are working and reading correctly, the interior lights are functioning as designed including the rear dome lights (front seat dome light does not illuminate). Even the door buzzer and the seat belt light are functioning. The headlights are working and operating as designed, all of the exterior lights are working (the drivers side exterior running light does not work) including the license plate lights. The power windows work well, the headlight doors open and close without any issue, the AC blows cool and on all the fan speeds and the power drivers mirror is operating (power antenna does not work). Tires have about 80-85% tread life (they are older tires). The car starts right up and idles smoothly without a smoking. The car shifts into gear with ease and accelerates very smoothly. The transmission shifts through all of the gears with ease and does not clunk or slip. The suspension and steering feel very nice and precise with no play or unusual noises or pulls. The brakes feel solid and precise and do not give any signs of fade. This Bitter SC comes with its original spare tire, jack and original tool kit with stampings from Germany.
