For sale is a 1999 Ducati Monster 750 motorcycle. I bought this last year with the hopes of creating a custom one-off Ducati Cafe Racer style bike, but I don't have the time or the space for any projects now. This bike is nice looking, but has the typical Ducati dent in the tank from where the previous owner dropped it at a traffic light. The bike was never in an accident and has a clear title in my name. It starts and runs fine but has been sitting for some time, so it may need a tune up. This bike came before the infamous "Red Key" system was introduced, so it's much less of a hassle to deal with than the newer ones with the troublesome anti-theft systems. Comes with one key that can be easily duplicated if necessary. All of the electrical functions (lights, switches, etc) work perfectly and the battery was replaced last year. The previous owner installed LED turn signals, and they have been professionally wired with proper relays to ensure correct flashing as well as a properly working dash indicator. The front tire is in good shape but the rear will need to be replaced soon. The valve clearances were checked and adjusted before I bought the bike. What you see is what you get with this bike. I don't have any service history, or very much knowledge about it other than I've posted here. With a little minor TLC, this bike is very rideable as-is, or would be a great candidate for a total restoration or custom project. I had Peter Askey of Uncommon Motorcycles in Erie, PA build me this bike. A stock S4 put out approximately 99 horses at the shaft and I wanted more. Peter had a Ducati tech from Italy install an SPS race kit in the bike which includes a special ECU, SPS cams, valves and twin Termignoni pipes. The result is approximately 123 rear wheel horsepower. I’ll look for Peter’s dyno sheet if you need it. Our technician Phillip has recently changed the oil, flushed the fuel tank and lines, cleaned the throttle bodies, serviced the air filter, replaced spark plugs and lubricated the chain. The front and rear Marchesini wheel’s are in near perfect shape, balanced properly and wrapped with Pirelli’s. The tires have great tread left, ready for several more optimum performance seasons. The front Brembo dual disk brakes are in phenomenal shape as well as the rear single caliper. Both front and rear have plenty of pad life left, and the steel braided lines give the brakes that solid stopping power you expect from a Monster. The front and rear suspension is fabulous. The front forks have excellent dust seals, and bushings and they don’t leak fork oil or bottom out under strenuous behavior. The rear shock has never had a problem and it provides a comfortable feel when maneuvering in any condition. The handlebars and instruments are all in splendid condition. With a hydraulic clutch and nylon covered steel braided line the disengagement of this dry clutch is a cakewalk. Both bar-end mirrors are in well condition with no cracks and are substantially adjustable. The magneti-marelli 160 mph speedometer MPH speedometer and 11,000 RPM tachometer both work properly. Needless to say, the high beam passing function works efficiently as well as the turn signals, the throttle body enrichener, the ignition switch, the engine shut off switch and even the start switch. The fuel tank is in great condition, has recently been cleaned and it has no rust or ethanol fuel deposits. The seat has a cover over the passenger seat that is easily removable if necessary. This bike is equipped with passenger foot rests as well. The seat is in premium condition with no rips, tears, or sun damage. We installed several pieces of Ducati Corsa bodywork from the catalog such as front fender, tank and rear fender. A Givi fairing was added for protection/comfort and painted to match the Corsa bodywork. We also installed from the Ducati catalog several “Fogarty” Monster carbon fiber bits: clutch cover, lower fairing, chain guard, radiator shroud’s, side covers and more. We added Cycle Cat bar risers too for your wrists. She’s cute, fast, dependable, unique, and comfortable. She has that earsplitting sound only a Ducati can pull off with Termigoni’s. This bike has been lovingly cared for in a climate controlled shop and attended to by a full time technician. Her battery’s been tended. She’s been fed non-ethanol Stabilized fuel. We have recently added Marvel Mystery Oil to our ladies food supply. Nothing’s too good for our girls. You can fly in to meet us at AEX and drive this bike home anywhere. We are selling this 2006 GSXR-600 that has a 2011 GSXR-750 engine in it (can prove the engine year and size). Why buy a new Suzuki GSX-S1000 when this bike is lighter and has much more horsepower! We built the bike for a customer that had some severe back problems and he liked the new Suzuki GSX-S1000 but wanted more power (he has had to stop riding completely because of health reasons). The bike has new Ferrari red paint, new Shinko tires, new Big Gun exhaust, new grips, two different front seats(as shown in pictures) and a rear seat and rear seat cowl, lighted GSXR tag plate, KTM Duke headlight with super bright L.E.D. bulbs, new mirrors with integrated L.E.D. turn signals, servo eliminator, steering stabilizer eliminator, and much more!!! The bike looks and runs fantastic and has no scratches or dents. The bike has never been down or wrecked and has always been well maintained! We have sold the 2006 Suzuki GSXR600 engine and no longer have it. The bike has the current generation options including mode selector to reduce the horsepower when riding in the rain. The bike has a fantastic power to weight ratio and has loads of power. This bike has the same seating position as the KTM Super Duke and a Ducati Monster and is fun around town and comfortable for long highway trips. The rear swing arm has the 3" length extender that you can remove from the swing arm to make it stock length (we also have a extra stock GSXR swing arm to go with the bike). The lights on this bike are very bright (bright enough to scare Miley Cyrus away at night) and really help for night riding. I am sorry but we have to much inventory right now and we will not take trades of any kind (except for meat from a real Bigfoot or Yeti monster and none of that fake giant panda meat from China please)! Its 649cc engine is brand new from the sump up and this torque-laden inline four-cylinder is especially compact. This facilitates optimum positioning in the chassis to enhance weight distribution and create a slim profile and responsive handling. Powerband priorities focused on the low- and mid-speed ranges used most frequently for street riding rather than the harder-edged attributes of a supersport bike that might see lots of track time. As a result the power jumps in quickly low in the rpm range right where riders need it on the street. Yet at higher engine speeds the CBR650F still packs a smooth strong punch. The basic configuration and dimensions of this liquid-cooled four-valve engine were initially developed using computer-assisted engineering (CAE). The cylinder bank cants forward at a 30-degree angle to help lower the bike's center of gravity. This angle also facilitates a remarkably straight shot from the air intakes through the air cleaner to the intake ports and out the exhaust pipe. Net result: a reduction in the intake and exhaust resistance which helps boost power output and fuel efficiency. Tapered intake air funnels and active streamlining of airflow through the air cleaner—plus use of a large panel-type filter element—provides ample air intake. The four exhaust pipes curve down in an attractive flowing shape and tuck in tightly to the engine—moving the oil filter to the rear of the engine allows this compact arrangement. The thermostat in turn now mounts at the front of the engine to shorten the engine coolant path adding to the engine's compact design. A large two-chamber collector box beneath the engine helps make this four-into-two-into-one exhaust system notably short and compact; keeping this weight low and close to the center of mass helps promote nimble handling. Chain-driven dual overhead camshafts and bore and stroke settings of 67mm by 46mm were chosen for optimal power. The DOHC layout allows a large degree of freedom for creating an efficient combination of included valve angle port shape and combustion chamber design. A silent-type cam chain with tough vanadium surface treatment applied to the cam chain pins helps reduce friction to minimize parasitic power losses. Valve timing was set to minimize the overlap when intake and exhaust valves are both open to promote fuel efficiency. The intake valves measure 27.5mm in diameter while exhaust valves with a diameter of 22.5mm are used. The piston pins and connecting rods are treated with a special friction-reducing protective coating for greater durability and efficiency. Like Honda's supersport bikes the CBR650F stacks the transmission shafts in a vertical plane to shorten overall engine length and further centralize mass. Breathing holes pierce the walls between crankcase journals to reduce pumping losses during piston travel. For the cylinders thin-wall sleeves are formed through centrifugal casing to minimize cylinder strain while achieving a lightweight and compact design. Lightweight aluminum engine hangers are used to bolt the powerplant into the twin-spar diamond-shape steel frame with the engine acting as a stressed member of the chassis—an efficient layout for enhanced handling. The main frame tubes measuring 64mm by 30mm are oval in cross-section for added strength in the key vertical axis while yielding tuned flex in other dimensions for added rider comfort. Thanks to the compact engine design the engine could be positioned forward in the chassis to achieve close to a 50/50 weight distribution between front and rear axles for a balanced feel. Forged-molding pivot plates eliminate a need for frame covers in the pivot area which helps minimize frame width in that crucial rider/bike interface point. The rider position feels natural and spacious with just a slight forward lean and the full fairing deflects a substantial portion of the oncoming wind stream. The one-piece seat requires a reach of only 31.9 inches down to the ground; careful seat shaping makes it feel like that distance is even less. A 41mm fork handles suspension duties up front; it yields a comfortable 4.7 inches of well-controlled travel. In back the single-shock rear suspension is actuated directly by the strong yet lightweight aluminum swingarm for 5.0 inches of rear-wheel travel. Shock spring preload is adjustable in seven steps to accommodate variations in load and riding conditions. Wave-type dual front 320mm disc brakes and a 240mm rear give strong stopping power and lend a stylish touch while also saving unsprung weight. The front brakes use twin-piston calipers while the rear is a single-piston type. Honda's ABS system is available for more confident stopping in challenging conditions. The instrument panel on the CBR650F is a full LCD multi-function digital meter that includes speedometer tachometer odometer/A&B tripmeters fuel gauge and clock. This display can also show average and instantaneous fuel consumption. Other thoughtful touches include an LED taillight an underseat utility area for a modest bit of storage space a front brake lever with six-step adjustability and a fuel tank hinged at the front for easy maintenance access.
