Top end is fresh - has been bore and honed with new piston. New gaskets New tires New drive chain Replaced cables that needed to be replaced Replaced some plastic, but most was cleaned or repaired. (I wanted to try to keep it as original as possible) Tank was repainted Motor was tested on lift, no gas has been put in the tank. Title for vehicle is considered rebuilt/reconstructed because of regulations in Indiana. Original title was lost and due to the age of the bike and Indiana law the rebuilt title was the only title that was able to be applied for. After several vin checks and inspections a new vin was issued and title issued as well. ORGINAL VIN: 1M2-109858 REISSUED VIN: MVIN35099IND One metal side cover has some damage, side cover is pictured above. I'm selling my 1978 Hodaka 250 SL 2-stroke. If you found this then I'm certain you know what this is. This is the last year for Hodaka. It has a clean and clear title. It is a 2 or 3 kicks when cold kind of bike. It has brand new tires. It's only significant flaws are it could use turn signals and it shifts nice but I struggle finding 5th gear. 5th is temperamental. It's not a restored bike, it's just been taken care of but ridden occasionally for about the past 37 years. This is a really neat vintage enduro that I hope finds a really good home. Selling my 78 DT250. It's a great running bike. Starts first kick 98% of the time, warm or cold. The tires have maybe 100 miles on them, new rings, great compression, UNI air filter, new brake and clutch cables, new battery and fork seals, spark arrestor. It's in great mechanical condition and the suspension feels real good. The bike sits tall and it gives it a good feel, like easily controllable, confident feeling. The headlight has been updated to one with an easily replaceable bulb. Everything works at the moment. The gas tank had been lined in the recent past. I tried to show the worst of the paint flaws in the pictures, but there are some less noticeable ones here and there that are not to bad. Just an all around nice vintage rider with a clear title. Buyer is responsible for any shipping and full payment is required within 7 days after the end of auction. $250.00 non-refundable PayPal deposit is required within 48 hours after end of auction.

1978 Suzuki PE 175 Dirt Bike/Enduro/Trail

1978 Suzuki PE 175 Fresh top End (Piston and bored Cylinder). Weisco Forged Piston, Boyeson Fiberglass Reeds. 6 Speed close ratio which shifts easily. Runs Great, starts after 2-3 kicks, will idle after warmed up, may need one size smaller main jet. Front and rear brakes work well. Tank is from another model Suzuki, I don't recall. Kick arm is new. Throttle grip was replaced. Cosmetic shape is rough. Will need seat redone, a new air filter, side plastics missing. Output shaft has a leak, but I have the seal, goes down to a certain level which doesn't seem to interfere with transmission operation. There was a gap at the bottom of the case between the gasket material, which was sealed with gasket material and hasn't given problems. Front tire leaks and I will pass on the new tube as well. Once you get into the power band the bike will make you smile and has decent torque to 'putt' around along. Head light and tail light works. Odometer does not. I just started it today after sitting for a week on 2nd kick and taped the cold idle on choke video from earlier today. The bike is not street legal and this model was never sold with a title, strictly for off-road use only. Repeat, NO TITLE. Questions? Awesome vintage off-road trail blazing street machine! This bike rocks, the end! Bike starts on first or second kick, runs great, goes down the road beautifully, and did I mention it rocks!? Make no mistake, even though it looks good, this bike has been ridden and shows a little wear. But it also looks like it was put in storage 20 years ago waiting for you to take her out and rip some trails.
