2006 Yamaha Xt225 , This is a tank of a bike, it has had all the maintenance done at regular service intervals. It has an excellent six speed transmission that can cruise at higher speeds, but also good on the bottom end for off road use. It has a few dings you could expect from an off road bike. Newer rear tire thats great for off-road and on-road. It comes with a luggage rack I added to the rear of the bike. Lots of road miles, but was used on trips off road. This is one of the best pre-owned bikes you can buy! Yamaha XT 225 will run until the wheels fall off. Everything works great on the bike, tons of useful features! It has a few minor cosmetic issues typical with a used bike, but they are small and do not take away from the bike’s sleek look! Knobby tires with medium tread allows you to rip off road or cruise down the street at 65+ mph! I used this bike to commute to campus at Clemson University, and since I am graduating I no longer need it. Better get it before it goes! TITLE IN HAND Headlights (high-beams and lowlights) fully functional and bright.Taillights with built in brake lights.Left and Right blinkers on the front and rear.Electric start works great and requires no kicking!Choke pull on handlebars makes it easier to cold start.Mileage counter and gas gauge counter.Loud Horn for safety. Also has a built in helmet lock using the ignition key.Front Disc brakes (handle) and NEW Rear Drum brakes (pedal)6 Speed transmission with “Neutral” light on dash. This is an excellent bike with tons of DIY and helpful youtube tutorials as well as forums for YAMAHA XT owners. Very helpful! The bike includes various new parts that I have gone through and replaced periodically.Bike is hot natured and doesn’t like to start as easily if the temperature is below freezing. Pretty typical of small engines, but just a heads up for the dead of winter.She will still start, she just needs a little love on those cold mornings! Issues:  2 tears in the vinyl seat on the seams (this is cosmetic only. 2006 xt250 its really a 225cc. I bought this bike for hurricane season as I do every year. I bought it off a friends wife, and this is the service I did. service performed. front brake and rotor inspection, cleaned and greased bearings and speedo drive, front brake master cylinder dissembled cleaned, and new fluid in the whole brake system, lubed cables, new ultra bright h4 light bulb. new base gaskets, carbon cleanup on head and valves ( valves were lapped and tested) . new head gasket, valve guide seals. valve adjustment. carb soaked and cleaned, carb has new float seat and needle, and gasket. new seat cover, rear brake inspection. new seal on starter, all the lights work, fresh oil and filter, plus a bunch of stainless hardware which im still working on. 2000. 1991 Yamaha xt350 enduro or dual sport motorcycle. 8000 miles average condition. I bought it last summer anticipating my eldest getting his cycle endorsement this spring but it won't happen till next spring so off this goes. I've ridden this around our yard and short rides down our street (no plates or insurance on it) and it feels fine. exceptions from stock: 1.previous owner put renthal bars on it (looks like it had a driveway tip to the right given tank dent and repaired guage mount) 2. exhaust was uncorked (by previous owner) 3. rejetted by me (because they are lean from the factory and to compensate for #2) 4. upgraded wheels, aluminum swing arm, larger brakes and drive chain from xt600 ( rear rim had flat and was bent, xt350 drive chains are known to be too small for the torque) I have a clear Michigan title for it, asking $1500.00 obo and it is sold as-is. The seat does have a puncture, it was repaired with black rubber (seen in pics) new covers are cheap on ebay, but the cushion is sealed in. I would trade for a off road only dirt bike like a xr400, ttr or crf (F or X, not R) I need another trail bike for a 6' tall older teen so ideally it would be a 225/230/250 engine size.
