For Sale is my 1975 Kawasaki F11 250 Trail/Street Motorcycle. It runs good but will need some attention. It does not have the original headlight. It needs a battery. The clutch may need some adjustment but it does go into gear fine and takes of well but it may be slipping a little at higher rpm's. But seems to drive and take off well. The bright & dim switch is broken off and will need replaced for ease of use. The carb has been cleaned as well and seems to idle fine. The gas tank I cleaned up but someone has creamed it & I cleaned it out and seems to be ok. I can not verify the mileage but the tack & speedometer are working as they should. It does not have many miles on the odometer. The side cover was missing so I found a factory replacement. It has the factory tools and owners manual also. . Check pictures and ask any questions..

1973 Kawasaki F11 MX Prototype - Running and shifting bike!! Number 82 of 200! By early 1972, Kawasaki decided to build a competitive MX bike to fill the growing market in the United States. They went out and hired riders Brad Lackey, John Desoto among others to race and help developed the bikes. The bikes showed early promise and Lackey rewarded them with their 1st National title in the Open class later that year. In 1973 Kawasaki was prepared to release a limited production open class bike that they dubbed the F12MX. They also released the 250 F11MX version. Bryon Farnsworth, Kawasaki’s American R&D Manager at the time, said, “We used Peter Lamppu and Jim Cook as test riders, and Kawasaki Japan contracted Thorlief Hansen! Our riders were impressed with the power, and the finish was good, but the suspension and handling still left something to be desired. The Japanese focused on the 250s, as their test riders were smaller. Both of these bikes were produced with many light components that brought them both in near 200 lbs. The projected number of these bikes to be made available was rumored to be about 200 of each. This is number 82. It is believed by many sources that significantly less than 200 bikes were ever released from Kawasaki They were made available only to sponsored riders that had interviewed for them. They were extremely light and powerful. The bikes featured magnesium hubs, chromoly frames, custom Kayaba shocks, plastic fuel tank and levers. Kawasaki fed these sponsored riders parts over the course of the year to try out. Nobody seems to know for sure what the F11M 250 sold for because of the limited production run. A year later, the 1974 KX250 retailed for $1150. The Early Years of Motocross Museum found this example in West Virginia after a five-year search. I bought this 1974 Kawasaki 250 Enduro back in 1973. It has 2184 miles on it (all female ridden miles). NO JUMPS--NO DAREDEVIL. A bunch of us gals all bought motorcycles out of high school and just rode on the streets. This hasn't been started in probably 12 years. Been stored inside. All I did to take the pictures was to clean off the green parts so that you can see the vibrant color of the green. I know the seals and anything rubber is probably bad. I know the front tire is bad. I think the back one is still holding air. No, I didn't put stabilizer in the gas tank. (you always think you're going to ride it and you always forget). SORRY - so we know the gas tank is probably bad. I know about kicking it and sucking the 'crap' down into the engine and THAT HAS NOT HAPPENED. NO ONE HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO MESS WITH IT!! I always said I was going to get this going again, but kicking is not something that I can do at my age. I put this on a buy it now of a starting price. For sale is an all original 1974 Kawasaki F11 250 enduro with 6,504 low miles and clear title. Bike has been sitting for about 4 years non running and will need some work to prepare it for running once again. bike is in good shape for original has good compression, good spark, will need the gas tank cleaned out as it has built up some surface rust that can be de-rusted and old gas drained to be used, nothing deeply rusted, carburetor will need to be cleaned out to be safe, throttle snaps back fine, gas tank has a slight indentation on the right side lower near seat, not anything major, paint on tank has some scratches and scuffs common on an endure but nothing major, paint is still pretty good just some slight fading. nice wheels, overall little rust on the bike, solid exhaust with no holes, The right hand throttle mechanism works fine but the inlet area for the throttle cable on the hand control is cracked and cable held in place by some electrical tape wound around it, it works and functions but right where the cable goes into the hand control has a small cracked chunk out of it, can be replaced but does function. Bike has held up well for an old enduro and looks great, This would be a good project to get running as an original paint survivor, always kept inside, too many projects need to let some go. Up for auction is a 1975 Kawsaki F11 Enduro 250. This bike has only 525 miles on it. It has been parked in a barn literrally since 1981. The bike is completely original. I acquired the bike and rebuild the carb and flushed the fuel tank and oil injection tank and got it running. It runs great. It still has the original tubes and tires. the tubes still hold air. the original tires (Yokohama Trail Sport) have some nasty cracks in them and need to be replaced. This bike still has the original tool kit with all the Kawasaki tools. I have 2 factory Kawasaki keys for it. the bulb in the tail light is burnt out but headlight works well the the switch for the hi beam lo beam broke off. I do not have the mirrors for the bike and the I was not able to find the directionals. This bike has a clean and up to date California title and is plated till September 2015 for street use. I have a new set of innertubes for the bike because I reall y did not think that the originals ones were going to hold air. The paint on the tank and fenders are great. overall the bike needs to be detailed out a little. I have cleaned it up best i could without dissassembling anything. when I pulled the bike from the barn you could not tell the tank was orange or the fenders were gray. I have installed a new UNI air filter and lubed the chain and ridden it around the block it is very responsive but I do not want to push it to hard due to the crappy tires.
