Hello, Up for sale is my rare and beautiful bike. 1998 Yamaha R1 with a clean title. Engine runs incredibly smooth, no gear issues (It was common for these bikes to have a 2nd gear issue). Brand new Pirelli Rosso tires, chrome rims, Like new Scott stabilizer, Phone charger and battery digital meter. This bike is incredibly beautiful and rare to find in this condition. I have the original rims that I will pass to the new owner, some extra parts as well, such as gasket for the carb, etc (All OEM Yamaha). It has 32,842 miles. It was service, new chain, sprockets, battery, brake pads, brake fluid and radiator coolant was flushed. The light on the dash that blinks when the turn signals are working doesn't work, I installed two small led bars each one connected to the blinkers, they are very bright, so you'll know even during the day when your blinkers are on. If you have any question/s about the bike, please ASK, do not assume anything because that's how misunderstandings happen. The bike is 18 years old, please keep that in mind. People gathers around the bike every time I park it in a coffee shop, etc. "Old school" is well appreciated for the ones who really know about motorcycles. I have the original jacket and pants that came out to accompany the bike made by a designer at that moment in excellent condition, we may discuss extras if it fits you. It has a bad boy horn. You'll be heard!!!. Instead of reving up the bike to let them know you are there, just hit the horn and they'll think a truck is coming( yes it is that loud). I have the original horn that will pass to the new owner as well. The bike currently has a custom license plate, if you are a California resident, you can transfer it to you, I'll help signing the transferring doc. If the buyer is from out of state, the license place will be removed of course. It is also for sale locally and as this is a fixed price listing (no auction style), I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime. It has always been garaged and covered with a blanket. It has started the first time, every time, without hesitation. Including after 3 long, cold winters (on trickle-charge in detached garage). . .runs as good today as the day I bought it. Lean, mean, and clean. It packs a nice punch at 1584cc, with a Twin Cam 96 Pushrod V-twin. Weighing a little under 700pd, on 130mm (front) 180mm (back) tires (16in aluminum wheel), it is extremely easy to handle. A classic street bike, but dropping into the 6th gear it can easily cruise highway speeds without breaking a sweat. "Stage 1" was completed by the original owner. You'll notice in the pics the Vance & Hines short pipes. Plenty throaty -- your neighbors won't hate you, but a little throttle in town and you'll be heard. Also notice the Screaming Eagle upgraded air cleaner. I've only added smoked-out blinker covers and Harley medium pegs (way more comfortable than the low ones IMO).
