You are looking at a 1979 Kawasaki KZ650C. I will list the good and the bad. The Good: New tires with less than 200 miles on them (Avon Roadrider's front and rear).Newer (2 years ago) cables (clutch, tach, and both throttle cables).Newer (2 years ago) drive chain (O-ring chain) and sprockets.Newer (2 years ago) iridium spark plugs.Newer (2 years ago) ignition points.Accel ignition coils and 8.8mm spark plug wires.Air filter pods.Vance & Hines header and muffler (sounds wicked).Carbs rejetted for air pods and exhaust. All newer (less than 200 miles) gauge cluster backlighting bulbs.The inside of the gas tank is clean and free of rust.Turn key ready to ride.The bad:The right starter button and kill switch controls are inop. The starter switch is under the seat in front of the battery.The taillight is not original and does turn on automatically. There is a switch to turn on the taillight by the starter switch.There is a small oil leak under the bike. I haven't looked to see where it is coming from.The oil filter bolt head is stripped out. I have a new bolt and oil filter that will be included with the bike.The headlight is not 100% secure in the housing. I have a piece of cardboard wedged in there to keep it from rattling.The headlight trim ring is rusted. There is a crack in the paint on the gas tank in front of the fuel cap and some chips in the paint around the neck opening.The paint on the back of the rear fender and under the seat is chipped up.The ball is broken off of the clutch lever. There is a replacement lever that will be included with the bike.Could use new grips.The front axle cap on the right side has a stripped stud and the nut will not come off. There is a jamb nut on this stud and the cap is secure. I have a used pair of front forks that will be included with the bike ( I do not know the condition of the seals on the replacement forks). There are dents in the header and muffler.Other:I replaced the seat cover with a piece of simulated alligator skin vinyl.I had picked up everything needed to convert the front brakes to a dual brake system. The master cylinder needs to be rebuilt. The original single front brake set up is back on the bike so it can be ridden. The dual brake set up will be included with the bike.The original fuse block was severely corroded. I replaced it with individual inline fuse holders.The fuel valve on the gas tank was broken and I couldn't find a replacement at the time for reasonable money. I installed an on off valve, there is no longer a reserve.All of the left controls work properly.The tail and brake lights are wired differently from the factory (they do work properly) so when the brakes are applied the stop lamp indicator comes on extra bright indicating a burnt out bulb.The bike has been repainted in orange.The bike could use a good cleaning.This motorcycle is a turn key ready to ride bike and has nice power for a 650. I was in the process of collecting the parts needed and addressing the things that needed to be corrected when I acquired another motorcycle last summer and I haven't ridden this one much since. From the time I had gotten this bike in 2011, I have put on less than 1000 miles. Please look at the pictures for more details. Kawasaki : Other 1981 81 Kawasaki KZ550C KZ 550 C LTD 4 Cyl Motorcycle

You are looking at a 1981 Kawasaki KZ550C LTD. I will list the good and the bad. The bad: I had acquired this bake as payment for some repairs that were made to another vehicle. There is a title that comes with the bike, unfortunately the person before the person I acquired this from had signed the title on the buyers line and never transferred the title. So pretty much there are autographs on this title in the buyer and seller lines and I (or the person I acquired this from) know who these people are or how to get a hold of them to fix this. You can get a form from the Illinois DMV (form VSD 190) and get the person in the buyers line to sign the form (VSD 190) and then the title can be transferred. The headlight does not work. The trim ring is not seated to the bezel properly and could be something as easy as being unplugged. There are no front brakes. The master cylinder, hoses and caliper were missing when I got it. The front rotor is in good condition with some light grooving. The rear drum brake works properly ( I do not know the condition of the brake shoe linings).There are no rear turn signals. The wires are cut and under the seat. The front turn signals do work.The number 4 carb overflows a little bit (it is a drip, drip type leak, not a large stream of fuel) through the overflow tube. It is in a likely hood a needle and seat or a misadjusted float issue.There is no factory air box. It was missing when I got it. I put the air filter pods on there.The clutch cable is stretched and all the adjustment is used up. The clutch still works though.The clutch lever ball end is broken off. The lever is straight. There are no mirrors. I have a set of old used mirrors I will include if you want them.The battery needs a charge from sitting.The tach does not work. I do not know if it is a cable or tach issue.There is a dent in the gas tank on the right side. There is no crease and should come out cleanly.The tires have dryrot cracks in the tread.The Good: There are only 9482 miles on the speedo. The engine fires up very quickly and runs great. No abnormal noises.I drove it around the parking lot at the storage facility I am storing it at and the trans shifts well, up to 3rd gear at least. The seat cover is brand new.This is a mostly stock condition motorcycle and is in great overall condition for the age. At some point someone had waxed this and there is wax all over that is in hard to get out places. The bike is almost 100% complete.The exhaust is in excellent condition with little rust at the cylinder head or anywhere else. The inside of the gas tank has very little rust and is in great condition (except for the dent). This motorcycle would be an excellent starter bike for someone, with a little bit of work. Or this would be a great parts bike for someone restoring one like this. Please look at the pictures for more details.
