1989 GB500 in good condition. Recent full service to include brake wheel cylinder rebuild. Tires are good and most rubber parts are fairly new. Inside of the tank is in really good shape, I only put non-ethanol fuel in it. Chain and sprockets are fairly new. Overall the chrome is in good condition as are the rims. Bike was been repainted and seat cover replaced. Cranks, runs, stops and shifts well. Actual mileage is 23,953, for some reason I could not enter it in the listing part. This is a 25+ year old bike and as such is sold as is. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. I will assist by being available for your shipper. Bidders with less than 10 all positive feedbacks or foreign bidders must communicate with me first or their bids will be rejected. Bike is for sale locally and auction will end if sold.

The GB 500 was made in 1989 and 1990 and designed to appeal to lovers of British motorcycles of the late fourties and fifties, eg. Norton Manx, B S A Gold Star, etc. It did not go over well when new but has become a desirable classic. This one has been used but always kept garaged. It had fallen over and has a few scars as a result but not bad considering its age. I have tried to represent the condition with the photos. It has brand new Continental tires and a new chain and sprockets. It will have current PA inspection as of September, 2015. I am not prepared to deliver and any prospective buyers will have to pick it up or arrange for shipping.

1989 Honda GB500 Tourist Trophy single-cylinder motorcycle showing 23,665 miles and climbing in this beautiful Summer weather here in the Pacific Northwest. This is the fourth GB I have owned and I have enjoyed them all. When I came across this bike a little over a year ago it was in less-than-perfect condition and, with some of the very difficult to find parts missing I decided it would be one to do a cafe' job on. My intent was to build a GB as it might have been if offered for sale in 1969 instead of 1989; an era pre EPA, DOT and the pox of accident/injury lawyers under which we currently suffer. To this end, I wanted to build a bike that was still a GB but a lighter, faster, louder GB and, to my eye, I got it right. The bike had a few miles on it, around 23,500 so the first thing was to make sure the engine was sound and running properly. Compression and leakdown tests were done and the numbers found to be satisfactory so the next step was to service the engine and address runability. The valves were set, sparkplug replaced, air filter changed, (the snorkel atop the airbox was removed to facilitate better breathing) and oil & filter changed. The smog pump was already off the bike and in a box, (where it belongs) so the carb was removed, cleaned, kitted, needle adjusted and re-jetted from it's skinny CARB-mandated OEM jets, (this is/was a CA-spec GB) with guidance from the great guys at Sigma Jet Kits. This simple act totally transformed the bike! It starts instantly, idles smoothly and pulls very strong through all five gears to redline. I would be willing to put this bike up against the 4,000-mile, Jack Batson Exhaust equipped GB I owned recently in terms of both straight-line and twisty-road performance...which brings us to the next issue to be addressed, weight. GB's are not heavy bikes to begin with, but their stock exhaust with huge resonator box is an abomination on such a small, sporting machine. Fortunately, that all beef wiener was already off the bike, replaced with a very simple little system that mimics the OEM unit's shape but...there's simply less of it. I don't know who made this thing or where it came from. It's not as lovely as that stainless steel work of art from Mr. Batson but it suits this little bike very well. So, that got rid of at least 15 pounds but now where else to go paring weight without resorting to a torch or saw? I wanted to clean up the look of the front end and while I love the rubber gaiters on my 60's & 70's CB's and CL's I remember when the Ceriani look was all the rage so, off with the fork boots! The OEM front fender, while not particularly heavy being made of ABS, was still too much so eBay yielded a nice little bolt-on chrome shorty and, problem solved! Next came that abomination of a rear fender with it's enormous tail light and stanchion; here I was gonna' get a two-fer gaining style and losing pork. Another off the shelf fender was found; small, chrome and lightly radiused and, when fitted along with the minimalist tail light suddenly that underseat grab bar had a reason for being as a fender support ala' period Triumphs and BSAs. Now I was getting somewhere and the huge stock turn signals were looming bigger by the minute. I found some LED units which were not only made of real metal but had the winker-clamped-to-a-separate-stem thing like my old Hondas, (a pair of resistors mounted under the seat got them flashing properly.) The bike needed a chain and sprockets so I went with a black chain with polished rivets to compliment the bike's overall black and alloy theme. The rear sprocket is really a favorite detail as it looks so old-school and does not suffer from that ugly safety-police chain guide riveted to the original. Tires, tubes and rimbands were replaced; the tyres being AVON AM26 RoadRiders which are available in the correct sizes and absolutely brilliant regardless of road conditions, (it rains a lot up here.) The OEM mirrors stuck up like a pair of rabbit's ears and simply had to go so a pair of tiny barends was fitted to the stock weights. The last issue was paint and upholstery...oh, and the missing seat cowl! Those cowls are unobtanium and stupid expensive if/when you can find one but I found a pattern part here on eBay hand-made by some guy in Germany, what a deal! The seat had been poorly recovered at some point so off to Mac's Upholstery in Seattle it went, returning as it's lovely self which you see here; with fresh foam for me bum! Now the paint... I've never been that big a fan of the OEM Black Green Metallic; it always looked a little muddy, ('though I like the stock graphics a lot.) I've been lusting after a Toyota Tacoma X-Runner recently and the Black Sand Mica finish available on that truck knocks me out so...you guessed it. Strangely enough, there is quite a bit of green in the pearlescence of this paint; the darn stuff almost looks stock, (but still better!) The stock graphics went back on and the bike was done. I'm not sure exactly why I'm selling this bike; it's a GB my way and I like it better than any I've owned. But there are soooo many bikes around here! My KTM Duke is giving me the stink-eye and begging me for that Keihin FCR I've been promising it. The Monster needs that damned valve inspection and belt replacement. My CB750K0 is due to go up on the lift for a freshening. OK, the GB's gotta' go. So, let's be clear; GB's have become collector bikes. I have friends who have spent north of $10K on them and I know how much some folks just love to trailer their bikes to shows and come home with a trophy and their self-esteem freshly repaired...this ain't that bike. It's not cosmetically perfect, it has miles, it's been MODIFIED for God's sake! It's a rider. It still draws attention from the uninitiated and GB guys as well. I like a little Wabi Sabi; I don't know if I've ever owned a perfect bike, (I've had new, does that count?) but I know that I want to ride my bikes without fear of a little wear and tear or worry with each mile that ticks by on the odometer. If you want perfect, they're out there; just plan on paying half again to twice as much as I'm asking for this one. If you buy it and you're not in town I can recommend and work with any shipper but it's on your dime. The bike has a clean, clear Title. No tool kit or Owner's Manual I'm afraid. 'Need more info? 1992 Yamaha SRV 250 RARE Japanese Market Cafe Racer Street Legal !! This is a 1992 Yamaha (late 1991 build) SRV 250. It was made for the Japanese market but also was briefly sold in Australia as well. I have never seen or heard of another one in the States. It has a clean and clear Arizona street title with plate and current tags. The Yamaha SRV was a bike designed to resemble a classic cafe racer around the same era as Honda's GB500/400/250. It is beautiful in its simplicity and classic lines with a great little V-twin engine! This bike is a blank canvas to start with for a great build project. It is mechanically very solid, low miles, nearly stock and already titled and plated. Bike was legally imported from Japan in compliance with DOT and EPA, has clean and clear AZ title with 2017 reg. I recently did a full service on the bike, complete carb rebuild with new parts, new fuel lines, new spark plugs, fresh oil change, fresh brake fluid and flush in front brake. Has a good battery, tires are older but decent tread, chain and sprockets are older as well but still have life left in them. The bike runs perfect, fires right off warm or cold, pulls clean from idle to red line and the bike rides, handles and stops great. The engine is derived from the Virago250, but has a different carb and cam setup and makes better power...for a 250 it is pretty quick and sounds great! Parts are easy to find from the Virago if need be. The rest of the bike is a lot of parts bin Yamaha. The bike is pretty much 100% stock except for the Supertrapp slip on exhaust, braided brake line, aftermarket handle bar and grips. (The grips should be replaced). There are some scratches on the tank, a decent size chip on the front fender and some corrosion on the engine cases. Overall this is a pretty clean example which is hard to find in Japan, not quite collector quality but would be great as a weekend rider, or base to build a very cool cafe bike and you will be the only one to have something like this at your local bike night! Please have a close look at all the pictures and let me know if you need more of a certain part of the bike or if I overlooked anything ask any and all questions. Bike is located in so cal desert near palm springs, I can also have it at my place in Phoenix. If you are local, test ride is encouraged with M1, proper gear and asking cash price. Happy to work with your shipper, u-ship etc to get the bike anywhere it needs to go to a nice safe new home. Please check out my other auctions!!

1991 Honda CB-1 Type 2 RARE Japanese Market PLATED! Street legal 1991 JDM Honda NC27 in beautiful low mileage unmolested original condition !!!! The CB-1 is one of those wonderful Honda's from the late 80's and early 90's, everything about these bikes is classic Honda. An engine that is a work of art, beautiful fit, finish, quality and typical Honda reliability. I own a U.S. Spec 89 model, which I am keeping as it has a number of mods. The Type2 (or MKII) CB-1 was only sold in Japan, it has some slight differences from the early U.S. model which was pulled from the market here after only two years. The 1991 model has a slightly larger tank, a full stainless exhaust system, different rear shock, higher bars, taller gear ratio and other small things, like the cool tinted indicator lenses, Km speedo etc etc. And of course, the very cool black engine and dark grey/silver frame and accents. The fact that clean lower mile well preserved examples of the Hawk 650, GB500 and CB-1 command the same as new prices or more is testament to how much Honda had it right when they were producing these bikes. The CB-1 is special in its simplicity and do it all nature. The CBR400 derived engine makes wonderful gear driven cam music and provides just the right amount of usable power on the street. The engine is the focal point of the bike but the handling and braking are just as superb. The later CB400 super fours are abundant in Japan but the CB-1 is quite rare due to its overall short production run. I looked for a long time to find a clean stock low Km example. This bike is a true survivor and was stored inside and has avoided most of the harsh Japanese conditions that render many of the older classic bikes with corrosion. If you are looking for a nice CB-1 you will be hard pressed to find a nicer one, and you will probably never see another JDM type 2, I have never seen or heard of another one in the states. Legally imported in accordance with DOT and EPA it has a clean and clear Arizona title with plate and new 2017 tags. It has an 11 digit Japanese VIN so California reg may be troublesome, but everywhere else will be fine. I just recently did full service on the bike, full carb clean and sync, fresh oil and filter, fresh 50/50 coolant (and flush) fresh Synthetic DOT 4 brake fluid front and rear. (All this was less than 50 miles ago). Battery and spark plugs are a bit older but still pretty new. Tires are not original, good tread but older. I would advise going with fresh rubber before any spirited riding. The bike starts and runs beautifully, it turns over and fires instantly when warm and the same when cold on the choke. The carburation is excellent with smooth linear power from down low to the 13,500 RPM redline. The bike truly runs wonderfully. Everything works, all lights, signals, warning lamps . The bike is 100% stock, exhaust, rear fender etc etc. Bike has just over 7000 original miles. Please have a close look at the photos, I will also add a short video of the bike starting and running. There are some small areas of corrosion on the valve cover, and around other metal bits, some are minor enough they started to clean up as soon as I worked on them with some cleaner. The bike has been in my shop for awhile and while covered etc, its still could use a pretty good detail. There is one small scratch on the top rear of the tail cowl and a small discoloration spot on the right side of the tail cowl. And those stickers....I didn't have the heart to remove them...I will let the new owner decide on that...but being a bit of a Japanophile and lover of all things *Engrish* I left them in place...and I assume they are early 90s period correct. Check the battely :) Please have a close look at all the pictures and let me know if you need more of a certain part of the bike or if I overlooked anything ask any and all questions. UPDATE 14 Jan. I added Youtube video of bike starting and running and short walk around. I also noticed the right fork seal is starting to weep fluid. I have ordered new oem Honda set of fork seals L /R and will replace with fresh fluid before bike sells, if I do not have time to finish before its sold I will send parts with the new owner!!
