Runs almost better than new because the carburetors were done by one of the best outfits in this country. Comes with luggage rack that is not install and a brand new set of indicator lights which are not installed either. The engine block was professionally polished and an engine guards installed. Comes with a small windscreen that is surprisingly effective and does not interfere with the naked look.The exhaust has been powder coated and chrome motor mounts were replaced instead of the black ones. I love this bike but I have put on to few miles in the three years I owned and it needs to be ridden. Tires are good, new Yuasa battery, oil change 70 miles ago. Engine kill switch does not work.

GL1000 1976 with custom trike conversion and custom paint job. The conversion alone is worth around $2500. She is a beautiful bike and we are often asked if we'd consider selling her when we ride her around town. We are now forced to sell her. We are the 2nd owner and only put maybe 300-400 of the miles on her at most. When I bought her I was a new rider and didn't realize that this is a bike for someone who knows how to do their own work, is tall, and is a little more experienced riding. She has been stored in our garage for the past year or so. She does need a little work. The Temp, Fuel, and Volts gauges do not work. It may be as simple as a fuse. The prior owner included all of his service records in the sale which I will pass on to you. Based on the folder he took a great deal of care and greatly maintained the bike when he had it. He sold it to me because he could no longer ride. She has recently become a bit tempermental when starting. Our friend who rides said that the carb needs cleaned. I did buy a new carb so that I could try to learn to do this myself. The new carb is still in the box and I have never attempted to clean the carbs. What I realized is that I really love this bike and unfortunately did not know enough when I bought her to appreciate her for what she is. She is beautiful and she deserves to be with someone who can take care of her in the manner that a vintage bike should be cared for and loved. I am including the shop manual, Clymer manual, extra carb and any other thing I find in the garage that I purchased related to her. I am also including the large folder with all of the records for her service from the prior owner. I know this sounds silly but she deserves to be rescued by someone who will truly appreciate her. Up for sale - 1979 GL1000 - Naked Goldwing -- This great old bike starts and runs well. Everything on it is in working order with a new battery. Has a custom Corbin seat as well as the original equipment seat. Has been repainted at some point in it's life. Medium quality paint job. No real rust on it. The odometer says 865 miles. I have no idea what the real mileage is as it's not required on the title but I don't believe it's rolled over. Although it starts right up, it definitely requires some warm up time. Probably could use a little carb work for better throttle response through the lower gears but it really runs well. It's really at it's best when cruising in high gear. I've done a couple of 300+ mile rides with no problems. -- I reserve the right to end the auction early as it is for sale locally.

I purchased her in Los Angeles 16 years ago from a private owner, but living in NYC, t's just time to sell and move on to something a little smaller. She starts up great cold and I just put a new battery in. Will most probably need the carbs cleaned out as it sputters just a little during idle. Horn & turn signals need fixing and the lock on the air filter/tool compartment needs replacing. There is a small tear on the seat and a very small ding on the front fender (see photos) Other than that, this bike is in great condition. Original engine, tail pipes, manual, and tool kit. Up for sale is my 1979 Honda GL1000 Goldwing. I'm the 2nd owner and I am selling due to the fact I no longer have time to ride, because of my job and because I gought a ST1100, so it has been sitting for the past few months. When I was riding it daily it ran good and didn't give me any problems, but now due to it sitting for a few months, it needs a little work to get back on the road and run good again. . ..maybe carbs cleaning, tune up. I don't know exactly. I'm not a mechanic It starts on 1st try, and drives but it is not in drivable condition for the road. It needs a little work to be perfect. It has less than 20k miles. The 1st owner did not ride much and the bike sat for over 20+ years. And a friend of mines brought it from a yard sale and fixed it up to running and drivable condition. Turn signals, brakes, horn work perfectly fine. The Speedometer is about 13 mph off. The mileage has stop turning, but the trip meter works fine. Make a long story short. When I got the bike, the speedomater/mph wasn't working correctly. So I had the guages changed, now the Mileage is not turning There is a tear in the seat, you can see in the pictures I added the fairing, windshield, saddlebags (no keys) and trunk (no key) holds 2 full face helmets. The KBB value is $2700 for a naked bike without all those things. There are some on Ebay that are listed for $4k and up. The bike still has value. Buyer is responsible for shipping and Pick up. Ask any question you may have. This is a great vintage bike that rides nice; very strong motor, and sounds mean. The custom painted job is a real head turner, but so is the whole bike. The seat has been recently professional recovered utilizing the original seat pan. It has been converted over to electronic ignition; I re-jetted the carbs for the straight pipes, and the pipes are wrapped with 2014 Silverrado 3 inch chrome ends on them. New drag bars have been installed with all new Motion Pro cables. My fixed price on this bikes is about 3 to 4 times cheaper than I have in it in money and labor.
