IT SEEMS THAT THIS SITE IS FLOODED WITH NOTHING ELSE BUT DOZENS AND DOZENS OF BROKE KNUCLE HEADS WHO ARE JUST SIMPLY WATCHING AND/OR BIDDING UP FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES, AND HAVE WASTED MY TIME BS-ing WITH ME THROUGH EMAILS AND OVER THE PHONE (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!).SO IF THERE ARE ANY SERIOUS PEOPLE LEFT OUT THERE, THAT HAVE ANY KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THESE BIKES, AND CAN APPRECIATE SUCH A CLEAN, RARE BIKE, GO AHEAD AND SHOOT ME A LEGITIMATE OFFER! Now on with the bike... Up for sale I have this one of a kind very clean 1999 Yamaha R6. This bike has been in the family since Day 1. My cousin bought it new from an Arizona Yamaha dealer back in 1999. It went straight to Willow Springs where it spent the next 7 years. During this time, him and Chuck Graves meticulously turned this R6 into 1 of the baddest track bikes for that era, with plenty of speed and amazing handling. How can you tell a race bike from a street bike? (Watch Video, and see the Flames shoot out of the Full System by Graves) Fortunately my cousin and the bike retired in 1 piece sometime in 2006. For the following 4 years the bike was garaged in LA where it was only taking around the block once a week. That explains how we kept the mileage so low. Finally a few years ago, my cousin decided to let go of it, and that's when I started the project of turning this R6 into a Street Bike, which consists of the following: New Michelin TiresNew Battery New Chain (D.I.D. Gold 520ERV3) New Stater and Rectifier New OEM Headlight and Relays New Horn New Front/Rear Brakes New Spark Plugs New Fuel and Air Filters New Clutch and Throttle Cable New Scott Steering Damper New Mirrors with LED Blinkers New LED Integrated Tail LightsNew License Plate Bracket with LED Light New Front LED Blinkers New Custom Seat Cover New Dark Windscreen The Gas Tank is OEM, however, all the fairings are from China. It got too frustrating trying to find good OEM plastics, so I took a chance and bought this set which turned out to be ok. (mounting wise). The only thing that bugs me is how the Tail Fairing turned out, leaving a space under the Rear Seat. This wasn't easy to do because of the way the exhaust sits up high and also the Rear Pegs. I'm pretty sure that someone else could do a better job customizing that area. I'm not an expert in that field, I just wanted to do some mods so my wife could ride on the back... Radiator was flushed and runs with MOTUL Motocool Expert Engine was flushed and runs with MOTUL 300V Synthetic 10w40 Unfortunately, I have to sell this awesome bike due to some personal issues, but hopefully it gets in the right hands, and the next owner will take good care of it the way we did... If I left anything out, feel free to ask questions... Please note that you are bidding on a used motorcycle and it has been subjected to normal wear and tear, both cosmetically and mechanically. I descibed the vehicle as accuratelly as possible, however, there's no possible way to include every detail and imperfection.TITLE in hand. All deposits are non-refundable. Sold as is. Thank you! Update:The Odometer Reading of "16375" indicated on the Title, is not the actual mileage of the bike. I had to buy another Gauge (see my feedback from 04/02/14) and temporarily install it in order to complete the Registration. Apparently the DMV requires all vehicles coming in California to have over 7500 Miles. IF YOU'RE LOCAL, THERE'S NO NEED TO ASK FOR A "JOY RIDE". THAT'S WHY I HAVE POSTED A VIDEO TO SHOW WHAT THIS BIKE IS ALL ABOUT, WHETHER YOU'RE DOWN THE STREET OR 3000 MILES AWAY. ITS ONLY FAIR...Serious Bidders/Buyers ONLY! On May-08-14 at 17:49:16 PDT, seller added the following information: IT SEEMS THAT EBAY IS FLOODED WITH DOZENS OF KNUCLE HEADS WHO ARE JUST SIMPLY BIDDING FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES. YOUR BIDS WILL BE REMOVED, YOU WILL GET BLOCKED, AND YOU WILL BE REPORTED TO EBAY IMMEDIATELY! SO GROW UP, AND QUIT WASTING MY TIME!!!
