Great machine, but I have five bikes and my wife says I must sell. I purchased this from the local dealer here, Iron Horse and it's been a fast, faithful friend. Many trips through Southern Arizona and all around Tucson and I would take it across the country tomorrow. The ABS work great and it is in top condition for a dual sport. It has a great aftermarket seat on it that lowers the seat to ground height just enough for me to feel comfortable, but the suspension has not been modified so you have all the travel you need for an off-road adventure. I think this is a great deal as I am selling it for almost $400 under average NADA guide retail of $7,785 for a 2010 BMW F800 GS (Manufactured in 08/09) and that does not include all of the upgrades and parts that are included. I am selling an excellent condition customized BMW F800 GS with many extras. I love riding this bike and am reluctant to sell however due to medical reasons I must let it go. I purchased this bike used with 130 easy miles on it in 2012. The bike has always had its services done on time. The bike has 7XXX miles most of which are commuting or highway miles. New Michelin Anakee III tires recently installed. This bike has the following modifications to the bike. The bike has had the forks completely reworked by Ohlins USA and are now fully adjustable for rebound and compression. The seat was replaced with a more comfortable Wunderlich seat to decrease rider fatigue. The rear shock was replaced with an Ohlins unit and the shock brace which prevents the bolt bending issue of the F800 GS. The fueling has been smoothed out to remove the snatchy like lean mixture from the factory and to compensate for the removal of the stock silencer and CAT for a free flowing Leo Vince full exhaust and K&N air filter. The fueling was modified using the Power Commander 5 unit designed for the BMW F800 GS. I also added a custom mounted tone generator with extra lights. This lighting system is a refitted BMW Police bike model with two additional red brake lights that activate when the front or rear brakes are used. There is a white strobe mounted in front that can be activated by either of two ways. There is a pressure switch located within reach of the left hand index finger or when the horn is activated for 1 second. The horn with auxiliary horn is activated using the normal horn button. This was all installed by a local BMW Master mechanic. BMW Hand guards and extended wind deflectors have been added as well as the Wunderlich throttle lock (cruise control like) feature. The battery was replaced this year with a Shorai lithium unit. I have also added the mounting hardware and all three Genuine BMW Vario boxes with two box liners. 1) Ohlins USA modified F800 GS forks. This bike started its life as a GS250T, the typical pseudo-cruiser UJM...a nice bike, but pretty boring, so it was torn down and turned into a scrambler.The bike's got 10K miles, but the customization is new. The engine is stock other than the pod air filters and shorty mufflers. It's not overly loud, but it definitely has more bark than it did. The parallel twin 250cc engine was pretty high tech in its day, making 25 HP. It's not fast, but it is a blast to ride. It has a 6-speed tranny so it can hit highway speeds. Components were selected to compliment the scrambler design. The line of the gas tank and seat has been straightened to give it a classic desert sled look. Aside from the red stripe, the gas tank is unpainted metal with a clear coat. It's a cool effect that can’t truly be appreciated in the pics.
