1988 Suzuki GSX 1100F Katana, GSX1100F is a high-performance sports tourer with full touring fairing with electrically powered height adjustable wind screen and wide dual seat with twin pillion grabrails. Its powerplant came originally from the GSX-R1100, retuned to provide more low-end and mid-range power. The fine aerodynamics of the GSF1100F and the 136 hp engine gave the bike very good top speed. GSX1100F was among the fastest bikes in the world at the time, if not the fastest.This one has spent some time in the sun. Note the paint is faided on the top side of the tank. 1991 Suzuki Katana 1100 - GSX1100F, ready to ride anywhere, on your next tour or canyon road. Race Tech springs and rebuild rear shock. Tires are recent with plenty of life. Stainless steel brake and clutch lines. Many new parts, including master cylinder and clutch master. Custom paint, but everything else is original. Starts and run beautifully. Freshly rebuilt 1988 GSX 1100F in great running order. Recent work performed includes the following; Rebuilt front forks with new seals, Carburetor rebuilt with stage 3 jetting tuned properly for the exhaust, brand new tires installed, rebuilt clutch, fresh paint, decals, grips, all fluids replaced with new. New gaskets on motor covers including the oil pan, clutch and trigger housing. New oil & filter. New stainless steel hardware used throughout bike. Good Yuasa battery installed. New plugs. The chain and sprockets are good. And the bike has no leaks. Brake system is 100% with good pads. I had the intention of keeping the bike for myself and built it accordingly and planned on installing hardbags for long trips. I have since decided to go with something else. These bikes are old school power houses (((Not for beginners))). Extremely comfortable ride that hauls ass. Bike has extremely low mileage at 13,499. Everything works except the little clock on the dash. This bike aims to please. Any questions please ask. A good shipping service is "Uship". Local pickup is ok as well. Very good condition. Comes with original owners manual. Mileage may change as i still ride it around town now and then. New battery and fresh oil. Needs nothing and runs as it should. No ticking, smoking or knocking. No puddles under it either. Everything on the bike works as it should including the electric start and the horn. Inside the tank is very clean. 1988 Suzuki Gsx 1100, For sale is my 1988 Katana 1100. This is NOT a beginners bike. This bike has gobs of power and at one point it was considered one of the fastest production bikes in the world. This kind of animal is for an experienced rider. The bike is painted a burgundy blood red with silver stickers. I have spent a lot of time restoring this bike to where it is now but it is not yet finished. Carbs, exhaust, airbox, and everything else is 100% stock other than the jets (Stage 1 Dynojet). Bike has a couple little imperfections but it has never been laid down or crashed. The carbs are in perfect working order except the idle circuit seems to be clogged up. It has a hard time idling but once you are moving it pulls like the day it was built. The other issue is the second gear; under moderate to heavy pull on the throttle it seems to be catching on itself and hiccuping a bit. I have had it looked at and have been told the second gear needs new shift forks. Once out of second, the bike shifts like a champ as it pulls you along for one hell of a thrill ride. The odo has 14xxx miles on it. I have been riding it most of the season but I need to get something a bit more suited for longer trips. Included in the price is most of another katana 1100f (a 1991 model) which shares almost 100% of its parts.
