This 1976 Suzuki GT750 Cafe Racer project is called "Threesome" due to it's 3 cylinder engine configuration. If you are familiar with this model you will know that when those three cylinders start firing in rapid 2 stroke fashion anywhere above 4500 rpm it will make the hair on your neck stand up and give you goosebumps. The sensation is sublime. This bike has been part of my collection for the past 2.5 years. The Bexton garage recently acquired another GT project bike that will replace this one.The donor bike had 16XXX miles on it and the motor ran strong without any leaks or other issues. Due to this the motor was given a fresh water pump and a fresh coat of black paint. Otherwise it was left alone. I have put another 1500 trouble free miles on it since the build was completed. It has since started to push a bit of oil out the breather when ridden too spiritedly, which indicates that the crank seals are starting to go. I installed a pipe to catch the oil and then drain it back into the engine to contain it. Performance remained unchanged due to this. However it will require a fresh set of crank seals if you plan to ride it cross country. I am pointing this out so as not to catch the new owner by surprise. But if you plan to just ride it occasionally like I do it will probably be good for years to come, just remember to change the oil regularly. The frame was modified to suit the Rickman tail section and seat. The entire frame and every single bracket was also powder coated. Electronics and battery are now housed under the tail. It has also been equipped with updated modern electronic ignition and voltage regulator and rectifier. I added a few gussets in the center triangle to tighten up the frame a little. The front end comes from a Suzuki Hayabusa, complete with forks, wheel and 6 piston caliper brakes. The front fender is from a Ducati Monster. In the rear I built a custom swingarm, using the swingarm and brake from a modern Suzuki 750 Katana as a donor. The Katana swingarm was shortened to retain the original wheelbase and some shock mounts welded on to retain the stock twin shock setup. It now runs on needle bearings instead of the original plastic bushings. I used a Suzuki SV650 rear wheel and also SV650 race rear sets. The fairing is from a Ducati SuperSport. The motor was adorned with a Jethot coated set of Jemco chambers and the carburetors cleaned and re-jetted to suit the chambers and K&N tube filters. The bike is very well sorted and easy to ride, but also a wolf in sheeps clothing, when you hit 5000 rpm you better hang on when that 2 stroke power band kicks in. The rear shock are Chinese knockoffs imitating a famous brand, so do not mistake them for being the real deal. They work as well as their origin suggests under normal riding conditions. This is an old bike design and the kickstand sits under the left chamber not leaving much room before things start touching down so you cannot expect to ride this bike at Grand Prix speeds anyway. The Hayabusa forks work extremely well and so do the brakes. I have a very detailed write up of the build with pictures and some video on my website MyBikeProject where you can see some of my other builds also. The bike was also featured on Silodrome Silodrome If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Local pickup only by your chosen shipper. I will work with the buyer to enable pickup locally. Time capsule. Great example of a Suzuki GT750 LeMans. As perfect as can be found. Unrestored meticulously  maintained rider. It is time to thin the heard. I had my chance to use and enjoy this Bike. Now I will pass it on to its next caretaker. Everything works as it should. Always run on alcohol free fuel and Spectro oils. Engine was professionally refreshed last year (at 25000K), Including crank seals and new pistons and rings. It has 1000 miles on it since then and it runs fantastic. Feel free to come and see it. No suprises or disapointments. This is truely a nice Water Buffalo. A short walk around video is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGBDapPsgbo

The bike runs great. The paint is very high quality and the chrome is in very good condition. This bike has been in my climate controlled personal “museum”, is a little dusty, and needs a new owner that will give it regular exercise. The 750 GT is a great classic for somebody that enjoys riding, with it’s smooth torquey v-twin engine and superior handling. These are desirable bikes that will keep going up in value while you enjoy the great riding they offer. This bike has only traveled around 2000 miles since a total restoration but it has over 13,000 miles since new and that is what the odometer reads.

1976 Suzuki GT750 , I just purchased a GT750 two stroke 3 Cylinder to rebuild. I rebuilt the carbs but still needs some tuning and syncing. These are called Water Buffalos or Kettles and are rare two stroke triples. They are collectors items and this one would be great for a restoration. The tank is rusty inside but is in pretty good conditon outside. Has optional front fairing and rear passenger backrest. I rode it down the street and back. Seems like it will be a real strong bike. Have another project and running out of space. I believe it had approx 16xxx miles WITH VA TITLE. I have many more pictures so send me an email if you want more. I have the backrest which needs redone and also the front fairing...that is why it doesnt have a headlight because its in the fairing(have pics). Look up "1976 Suzuki GT750 Runs Red" on You Tube. The Good so far: Seat pan(metal) Solid frame Good tank outside Good condition side covers Rear brakes Rims Gauges The Bad so far: Needs front tire Needs front brakes Seat needs recovering Passenger back rest needs recovering Some chrome needs rechromed $2,600 or Make offer.....I know how much its worth and what it could go for if I decide to completly restore it. Check Ebay! If I can not sell it for what I think its worth here I will put it on Ebay to get more exposure than just NC. May TRADE for just about anything...dirt bike 4 wheeler or another bike/project....just email me a pic what you got. $2,600.00

The bike has a new very professional "stock" burgundy and black paint job, new metal tank badges and new side cover badges. The striping is all done by hand and is the correct off white toward ivory, per original. All the dimensions for paint locations are as per a noted expert, bevel barbarian and well known belt buckle maker. This motorcycle has ll the upgrades you want on a rider, better alternator, regulator and fuse block, better suspension and better ignition system. If you are looking for a really good one of these, here it is. I got a question about this so let me make it clear. ALL of the late 750s had soft valve guides that wore out and caused smoke at relatively modest mileage. The smoke is from the prematurely worn guides because they are SOFT. If you buy a similar vintage Ducati that hasn't had the guides changed, you WILL have to pull the heads and change them. The guides on this one have been replaced with modern guides, the rings are not yet broken in as it has only about 20 miles on it since the top end overhaul. It is a 1974 3rd production series version, titled as a 1975 and has 23,197 miles on it. For more information please contact me by e-mail

"This extremely desirable first year Suzuki 750 GT is the hard to find drum brake model, which is coveted by all the collectors. Furthermore, it is an honest survivor with nothing missing. It must however be pointed out that there are obviously areas on the bike where time and usage has had its effect. I will let the comprehensive and honest photos show you the patina instead of listing every aspect here. My humble opinion or wish, you might say, is that the new owner decides that this ""Water Buffalo"" should be left in the condition it was found "in the wild," which is impossible to replicate, and is the new norm in the collector car and motorcycle world as it reflects the feeling of history and 42 year life it has had and which the values of survivors lately reflect. I have ridden this bike a lot and have had no issues. The bike starts and rides well and is ready for the new owner to continue to ride and show on a regular basis. I really am sad to see it go. There are a lot of trailer queens out there, this is not one of them!"
