Kawasaki KX500 2004 Rare, not too many of these come up for sale. Going into retirement and moving into smaller living quarters, so several of my bikes must go. I’m the 2nd owner. I would love to keep this machine. This bike was acquired from the original owner, older gentlemen (older than me LOL!) that rode it in the forest a few times. The bike was completely detailed and gone through. Any part that was oxidized or rusted was replaced with Kawasaki OEM. JD Jetting. The Bore is original. The engine was compression checked just to verify it was within specification. The engine was detailed on the outside. The sprockets and chain were fine, but I like to upgrade to some serious quality stuff. The fork seals had been recently replaced and oil changed. The suspension is stock. The bike was tested and it runs fantastic and handles like a dream. The rims and hubs were good and true and the tires are good. FMF Gnarly pipe and silencer is in great shape with no dents. Linkage was dissembled, cleaned and lubed. Brake system flushed and I’m using Silicone 5 fluid. Works Connection frame guards The bike looks and runs excellent. Ready to Ride, Race, Collect. Bike has been kept inside my home in a climate controlled environment. Close to $10K in investment. What a great machine. I now know why there is almost a cult-like following of these bikes.
