I thought back then as I do today, that the XR 750 was, and is the best looking motorcycle ever made. Jack Hardy was instrumental in getting some of the more difficult parts. Jack would call Dick O'brien personally, as he used to work for him as a factory race mechanic. Gary O'kern extremely talented F1 machinist built the bike for me, with all the special features that you can see. Some of the build includes: 1981 Harley Davidson wide glide front end (forks, triple clamp/tree, 21in. front wheel) for better handling and look. Front forks replaced with Progressive springs and brand new fork tubes. Forks have air in them as well for more responsive ride. 2007 complete S&S 93cui. Shovelhead STROKER motor (5k miles on motor) *8.5:1 compression ratio, S&S 585 cam, S&S carb, complete SUPER STOCK ENGINE and have all paper work and numbers to match. 2007 Revtech 5 speed transmission (5k miles on transmission) Custom paint job done on entire bike (excellent condition) Dynatech mechanical advance ignition to provide superior reliablity and power (compared to electronic advance) New brakes both front and rear end of last season Tires were put on end of last season (90% left) 9.75in T-handlebars All parts on bike are either original to the FXE and wide glide aside from S&S motor and Revtech Trans. During that time I have had over 12 Corvettes and during the last 3 years I have been collecting High end classic cars. After working on a friends Corvette I got the bug to get another Corvette. I went to the internet site of D&M Motorsports . Their site has all High Def photos that are taken by a professional photographer and I found a pristine 1993 40th Anniversary Corvette with only 1,300 documented miles. I went up to D&M and Dave handled the sale. We settled on a price and I purchased the car that day. Either you're so mad at the product or the seller you write a scathing report or you're so enthralled 2 days after you buy you gush with enthusiasm. No one seems to take the time to evaluate and come to a proper review to help the people looking for information. So I hope my words will be of value for a potential customer. I started looking for a Corvette in October of 2013 all over the Midwest and D & M Motorsports was just one of the dealers I pestered for 4 months, in those months I met with Angie and Dave checking out the cars I previously viewed and all their new arrivals. At no time was I pressured to purchase and every meeting was cordial and all my questions were answered no matter how long it took. In February 2014 they got in the car I wanted and I made an offer they agreed too and with the contingency I could have the car checked out. Not only did they agree to my terms they even stored the car for a month till the weather broke and at no charge. Their site has all High Def photos that are taken by a professional photographer and I found a pristine 1993 40th Anniversary Corvette with only 1,300 documented miles. I always wanted the grabber blue with white stripes. During that time I have had over 12 Corvettes and during the last 3 years I have been collecting High end classic cars. After working on a friends Corvette I got the bug to get another Corvette. Their site has all High Def photos that are taken by a professional photographer and I found a pristine 1993 40th Anniversary Corvette with only 1,300 documented miles.
