Awesome Harley Springer. Options include mustache crash bars($275), sissy bar($100), leather saddle bags($50), sports windshield($300), Vance and Hines pipes($400). Bike needs rear and front tire replaced soon. I bought it from a Harley dealer in New Zealand in 2001 with only 500 miles on it. Since it came from New Zealand, it has a kilometer. It has 44,581 kilometers (27194 miles) on it. It has never been wrecked or abused. Engine, transmission, and all mechanical parts are in excellent shape. It has the 88B (balanced) engine. Uses no oil and has no leaks. Cosmetically the bike is in great shape also, see pics. It has a carburetor and vance and hines pipes, sounds awesome. There is a minor scuff on the tank that I put an American flag over (see pic). It also has a OEM leather Fatboy Seat; the original seat goes with it. Buyer is responsible for shipping.

Screaming Eagle ignition,brand new battery. This bike is scary fast. I believe I am the 5th owner . Because of health issues this year I was only able to put about 20 miles on the bike. The best thing about the bike is that I know it's going to start up. I've had other Harleys and spent many hours roadside camping. This is the most reliable bike I've ever had along with my first bike, a 1964 Honda Dream , and a 69 Triumph 650. I've noticed that it's getting hard to find Shovelheads not to mention early big twin Evos. There's plenty of newer twin cams for sale , but this bike speaks for itself. Original & Only owner of this 1988 Harley Softail Springer FXSTS. These were numbered bikes and this one is 1029 out of 1450. The story behind these models are well known and these are the bikes generally representing Harley's in bike encyclopedia's. No leaks, issues, problems, and starts right up. When I first purchased bike I replaced all the lines with braided lines and ran all the wires on the handlebars inside & thru the handle bars to give it a cleaner look. The pipes and carb are S&S. It has 2 chrome tool boxes. No accidents, no dings, no dents, and garage kept. Battery is 3 months old. The bike was repainted because soon after I purchased it the paint started fading and kept fading and looked terrible after 1 year. Hate to part with it but after 20 years of holding on to hope to be able to ride again the reality is I am unable to ride anymore. Want bike to go to a home where it will be ridden because it is a blast to ride. Harley only made this bike set up for 1 year and made changes to the motor that made it difficult to access the starter among other things on all the following years springers.

1990 Harley-Davidson FXSTS Springer Softail This is a one of a kind bike. Virtually everything has been upgraded/chromed. My step-dad bought it in 1994 from a dealership in Florida and it had 21K miles and was pretty much stock. He spent the next few years doing essentially everything he could think of to it. I wish I knew everything that was done to it but I don't. He gave it to me about 2 years ago (2013) because he wasn't riding anymore. I took it into a motorcycle shop to have it serviced and get it running again (after sitting for a few years). I rode it a few times, but I really don't use it so now I am going to sell. I am not really a motorcycle guy and some of the features are lost on me, but the motorcycle shop was very impressed with it. They did comment that it is "high compression engine" that "requires high octane race fuel or high octane pump gas with octane boost." Here is what I do know: Good:Lots of chromeHigh compression with lots of mods (including boring, pistons, etc)Looks greatNever raced or pushed hard. He just always wanted to have the "best" Cool:Flame tanks signed by Lorenzo Lamas and from his motorcycle shop Unknown:Actual miles (odometer was replaced but it is somewhat in the 30s) Not so good:Tires probably need replaced. They have good tread but are oldSome minor pitting in some of the chrome partsHasn't been ridden consistently in 15 yearsIt starts and runs, but I have street tested it in over a year. It is being sold as is of course. I am essentially only asking the price of a fairly stock motorcycle. All the extras are bonus items.
