Moving and it's impractical to take... 2008 Street Glide 27K miles. 6 Speed tranny, cruise control, etc, etc, etc. Stored at my house in the mountains from November to March, serviced and/or upgraded parts. Stored and ridden from my storage unit from March to November. All chrome has either been removed and powder coated or powder coated parts ordered separately. I saw the original damage and it was limited to the front end only. Newbee ran into rear of a car! Prior to purchase, the frame was laser verified, but I do not have a certification. While having the lower forks replaced with a powder coated set, the local dealer did contact me to inform me that the triple tree did have some damage although minimal. I immediately authorized it's replacement with a new HD part (another $600). Other than that the dealer nor I have seen, felt or experience any other issues and as you see, I have enjoyed riding it an additional 17K safe and very reliable miles since it's purchase. It is now titled in VA. In the section of 'other pertinent data' it states 'WI Brand' (Wisconsin). I listed as clear because it is no longer a salvage title and didn't see a more accurate one. Sweet ride and I will miss 'her' a lot, but it must go to it's next proud owner. I can provide more photos upon request. I am making a 1300 mile move and can't take it. I will ride (!) her to your shipper if within my vicinity. I also have a 6 1/2' X 12' landscape type trailer that could be worked into a deal if needed. The rear belt has just been replaced and leaks are all fixed. Just had a new trans seal put on. Just spent over $800.00 on this bike. I have all the paperwork on this bike and I have a clear IL. title. I also have several extra parts that come with the bike. Tanks, fender and brace, sissy bar, lower fork sliders, seat and more. Windshield does not go with bike. I have put about 600 miles on this bike since it was built. Tested it out today and it runs fine. If you are already familiar with the history of these, and that is one of the reasons why you are looking at this Wide Glide, great, but just in case you aren't, here are a few facts explaining why this bike is so unique and hard to find. (ESPECIALLY with the low miles and impeccable condition it is in.) First of all there were only about 1700 total of these CVO "Switchblade" FXDWG2 Wide Glides built in 2001. Secondly, they were built only in this super sharp color combo called "Scarlet Red" by Harley's CVO division. They were Willie "G"'s personal creation and the Gold Flames you see on the tank and fenders is 23 Karat hand-laid Gold leafing which is cut out by hand from a sheet of ultra thin Gold Leaf sheets and then hand-applied on the fenders and tank. (A very meticulous and time consuming undertaking.) The powder coated red frame completes the package Also, every one of these bikes were hand build and assembled at Harley Davidson's Custom Vehicle Operations facility in York, Pennsylvania. (A completely different facility than where all the other Harleys were built in 2001.) Harley Davidson states there is in excess of $8000 worth of custom CVO-only upgrades and unique parts and pieces that went into the creation of these bikes. They had an original MSRP of $22,000 in 2001, but they were mostly pre-sold before they ever hit the Dealer Showrooms. And, MANY Dealers charged $23,000 (and sometimes more), over sticker for them because they were in such high demand. Consequently, with the dealer fees, taxes, prep fees, transportation and "over sticker surcharges" that many buyers paid, the majority of most original owners had an investment approaching $28,000 in these super nice bikes.$8,000 In factory upgrades. FLHTCUI - Electra Glide Ultra Classic Injected; Silver/Black with anondized gold trimmed wheels, and CHROMED OUT: Too much chrome to list including: lighted, chrome front rotor covers, front-end and chrome V-twin after- market intake, nice chrome footrests for you and your passenger, chrome luggage racks on bags and trunk, etc., etc., etc. Much of the chrome and special 100th anniversay badges all came from factory as a special trim package that is unique. Extra seat and backrest: Corbin, leather, HEATED and cozy. Works great but a bit firm for my lady so I switched to a special Comfort Cushion HD seat. Fairing lowers are available but one is cracked and needs to be repaired. The clear coat is starting to peel just a bit but paint is still good. Just a few minor blemishes.
