Here is a very nice and stock 1975 Sportster 1000cc it runs great and rides great, the bike was repainted many years ago and still looks great, there is a small chip on front of fender.I am the 3rd owner and the guy I bought it from had it in has collection for over 25 years and kept the bike in top shape but only put 2k on it the whole time he had it.The only non stock items are it has a 2in over front end and a 72 style taillight.the bike is ready to ride or show, I have gone on a couple 200 mile rides with no issues at all, but keep in mind it is a old school sporty and does leak a little oil LOL, but is a very solid motorcycle and so hard to find a stock sportster at ALL anymore!!!!!This is really a sweet old sporty and a total blast to ride the motor sounds amazing and handles great with the factory stock rims 19in front 18in rear.please let me know if you have any questions or would like more detail prefer phone calls. For sale is a 1972 Sportster XLH 1000. In good condition for year. Runs good. Tires are good. Had transmission rebuilt end of last season, at which time I had the swing arm rebuilt and new chain and sprocket put on. $2400 in receipts for parts and labor. Good little scooter, just not really built for 2. Have original buckhorn style handlebars, set of forks about 4-6 in longer and extra seat that goes with it. 3500 obo. Relisted for the fourth time. Please do not bid if you don't have the money, can't pick it up, don't have a paypal account yet or for any other reason may have trouble completing the purchase. Local pick up only or arrange for shipping to be picked up at my address. Needs a clutch and clutch cable. Comes with the parts to replace the clutch and cable. The cable broke and the clutch slips because the guy I bought it from used gear oil instead of wet clutch oil. The tank dash needs to be wired, there is one half of a weather proof plug wired to the tank dash, the wires coming out of the headlight shell need to be wired to the other half of the plug. I worked to achieve an antique, weathered look to the bike, I know this isn't for everyone but the bodywork is really solid and all new. There is a chip on the tank just above the air cleaner, a chip in the bottom of the back fender and some scratches in the front fender, all of them not on purpose. the tank has a crackled, weathered appearance that was on purpose, the rear fender has a little too, it also has light scratches from the saddle bags. The pictures show everything. The pinstriping is a little uneven and a lot of the stripes are slightly different sizes, they were hand painted but not perfectly, see the pictures. Top end rebuilt last year, new cylinders, heads and pistons, not even broken in yet. May need new rotors and pads due to surface rust Tank is custom, was a fat bob tank for a Dyna but I moved the mounts to fit my bike and filled the center seam because I don't like the tank bibs. The front fender is also meant for a dyna but fit on this bike because they have the same front end. I filled in the mounting bracket area for a cleaner full fender look. The back fender was actually made for a sportster but not this year. I had to cut off the tail light mounting bosses and fill them because they were for the stock tail light and I wanted the tombstone tail light for the vintage look. The seat is a Saddleman solo seat. The speedo bounces and I don't think the odometer works on it. It has 5 miles since the top end of the engine and the carburetor were rebuilt. I wasn't able to break it in yet because of the broken clutch cable. It needs new tires, I have the back tire but the front was in good shape last year, its all cracked now. I have the original front and back fenders, not the tank. It runs great with a jump start, idles nice and low but not without the cables attached since the battery is dead, plan on buying a new one. If I open the throttle a touch to bring the idle up it runs fine without the jumper cables so I know the generator and voltage regulator are good. It's a full custom bike but looks like it was made this way. If you are looking for that vintage, heritage or nostalgic look in a smaller framed better handling bike this is the one. It would have been easier to start with a Softail but I had already done that and liked the handling and braking of the sportster. It has the rare S&S Cycle air cleaner not the more common S&S Super version. I took off the choke butterfly valve for better air flow. It starts fine without it and warms up quickly. I did not pull it apart and paint the frame, I will leave that up to the next guy. This would make a great winter project but could also be ridden now with a weekend of work. This bike is one of a kind and I have never seen another sportster with the heritage/nostalgic look. I used to get constant questions and offers on it when I rode it but I would always say "I would never sell it." Of course now that I need to sell it I can't drive it around and accept one of the many offers because of a broken clutch cable I simply don't have the time to change. Now real life has slapped me in the face and its time to part with it. Divorce, dwindling finances and a complete lack of time are conspiring against me. This bike could be parted out for twice the starting bid but I want to give it a chance at a new life in it's current state. Now that it's out of winter storage and here at the house I may possibly get to the clutch, if I do the auction will be cancelled and relisted with a higher price provided there are no bids at that time.

Traded for this bike about a year ago and began restoring it back to roadworthy condition. Replaced the following with NEW: tires, tubes, nickel chain, electronic ignition (no points), battery, black gloss paint (5 coats of clear), HD seat, oil tank, gas tank, horn, clutch cable, speedometer cable, coil, plugs, plug wires, horn, chrome cover on generator, chrome voltage regulator, HD windshield (quick release), carb has been rebuilt, old style air cleaner, Live to Ride chrome ignition cover, blue dot tail light lens, front chrome rim and chrome spokes (balanced and trued). So most of this Old Harley is in fact NEW. Compression has been checked and has 95 - 100 lbs of compression on both cylinders. I also have a new rear chrome rim ready to install. See NADA for real value and I would conservatively rate this bike between GOOD and VERY GOOD. LOOK at the photos and see if you agree. Clear Title I live just North of the Dallas Metroplex and can assist in delivery to a Local shipping company but the buyer has to pay for any set up for any crate or other type of transportation needs. 1982 Harley Davidson Sportster XLH 1000. Ironhead. Not an AMF. This is a one-owner bike that was only used in the summer in NY. 46,549 original miles. It's in good shape, starts right up, and is ready to ride. It has the original engine and paint. The windshield, pipes, seat, air cleaner, and kickstand are aftermarket. The oil tank is factory but is a replacement. The bike had a new clutch and ignition installed in 2012. The battery is about two years old. Brakes are good. The rear tire tread is at 2/32"; the front is at 4/32". Everything on the bike works, including the lights, horn, turn signals, speedometer, etc. The engine has a real slight oil leak (a few drops per day), which is common for bikes from this era. The bike is on a NY title, which is clean and in-hand. Includes a soft bag (not pictured) and a factory HD cover. It has always been garaged up until a few days ago when I moved it outside to make room for the new bike. The bike is located in Maricopa, AZ (near Phoenix). Will assist with shipping.

1978 HARLEY DAVIDSON SPORTSTER XLH 1000 This sportster does come with a R title because of previous flood history. I bought this bike at auction a couple years ago and have rebuilt the whole bike. Almost everything on the bike has been replaced from the wiring to a rebuilt engine. I even changed the swing arm bearings to give you an idea of how much was done. The bike was originally built to resemble a super glide with the fatbob rear fender and split fatbob fuel tanks. The engine is not stock and does have some nice upgrades. It has Leineweber L1 cams. The heads have been done with PM springs, guides and valves. It does have stock pistons which really help with kick starting it. An S&S E carb is on the bike. As far as the electrical goes all the wiring has been replaced and a new starter and generator. It has a Dyna Igniton. All the lights and gauges work. The speedo has the wrong drive gear and jumps when you reach higher speeds. The dummy lights for the gen/oil both work. The turn signals and hi/lo beam work. It will need a horn as the one on the bike stopped working. The bike starts on either the starter or kick start. The bike runs great and sounds even better. The cams give it a unique cracking sound unlike any other Ironhead I have had before. The engine has 500 miles since the rebuild the odometer shows 7k+ miles but it will be sold and the title will read Mileage Exempt. The tires have plenty of tread but are showing signs of dry rot on the sidewalls. The paint is in excellent condition as well as the chrome and aluminum. The tank is clean inside.
