The key styling elements including the front end, 6 gallon fuel tank and hard saddlebags, are essentially unchanged. Ride quality is super smooth, while the maneuverability is extremely precise and responsive. Forming the core of this Road King chassis is the new frame with a single-spar, rigid backbone designed to sustain the demands of the long haul touring. This frame provides a strong foundation that supports a 70 pound increase in carrying capacity. The frame is engineered to be manufactured with the latest coordinated motion robotic welding process, which offers outstanding dimensional accuracy and weld quality. The frame design resulted in a 50 percent reduction in parts, and a 50 percent reduction in the total length of welds. T-studs were eliminated, and the components of the new frame were joined with cast and forged node-tube joints. The tail section improves the fit and finish of the rear area of the motorcycle through more-precise alignment of the rear fender over the rear wheel and the swingarm is formed with a two-piece, deep-drawn shell with a forged pivot section. This redesigned swingarm contributes significantly to the overall system. The engine-isolation system has also been revised, resulting in reduced engine and vehicle vibration at idle speed. The system replaces a single front isolator with twin front isolators with a single tie link. The front and rear mounts are designed to provide optimal balance between stiffness and isolation, and are very durable. Finally, asymmetric snubbers provide improved control of the clearance between the engine and frame during extreme bump events. The wheel-and-tire combination plays a key role in the responsive performance this Touring chassis. Front wheel diameter is increased to 17 inches from 16 inches, while the width of the 16-inch rear wheel is increased to five inches from three inches. The 28-spoke cast aluminum wheels were designed using finite element analysis for maximal stiffness with minimal weight. The wider rear wheel accommodates a new 180/65-16 rear tire that is wider and has a lower aspect ratio than the MU85B16 tire it replaces. The Touring frame, triple clamps, swingarm, engine mounts, exhaust system, rear fender, wheels and tires where redesigned, and together provide the foundation for what is truly one of the finest long haul motorcycles. The key styling elements including the front end, 6 gallon fuel tank and hard saddlebags, are essentially unchanged. Ride quality is super smooth, while the maneuverability is extremely precise and responsive. Forming the core of this Road King chassis is the new frame with a single-spar, rigid backbone designed to sustain the demands of the long haul touring. This frame provides a strong foundation that supports a 70 pound increase in carrying capacity. The frame is engineered to be manufactured with the latest coordinated motion robotic welding process, which offers outstanding dimensional accuracy and weld quality. The frame design resulted in a 50 percent reduction in parts, and a 50 percent reduction in the total length of welds. T-studs were eliminated, and the components of the new frame were joined with cast and forged node-tube joints. The tail section improves the fit and finish of the rear area of the motorcycle through more-precise alignment of the rear fender over the rear wheel and the swingarm is formed with a two-piece, deep-drawn shell with a forged pivot section. This redesigned swingarm contributes significantly to the overall system. The engine-isolation system has also been revised, resulting in reduced engine and vehicle vibration at idle speed. The system replaces a single front isolator with twin front isolators with a single tie link. The front and rear mounts are designed to provide optimal balance between stiffness and isolation, and are very durable. Finally, asymmetric snubbers provide improved control of the clearance between the engine and frame during extreme bump events. The wheel-and-tire combination plays a key role in the responsive performance this Touring chassis. Front wheel diameter is increased to 17 inches from 16 inches, while the width of the 16-inch rear wheel is increased to five inches from three inches. The 28-spoke cast aluminum wheels were designed using finite element analysis for maximal stiffness with minimal weight. The wider rear wheel accommodates a new 180/65-16 rear tire that is wider and has a lower aspect ratio than the MU85B16 tire it replaces. It has a 38 degree rake, the Stretch is: Zero in the Tubes / 6 in the Neck.  Front and Rear Wheels are 17” with Wilwood Front and Rear Brakes.  With the Spring Seat you’ll find a cushioned ride while keeping the classic hard tail.  Front Headlight is from a 99 HD Softail, Taillight is a 30’s Auto light.  The Fender is a 1935 Ford Spare Tire Ring which they did a great job, as it looks AMAZING!  This bike is all kinds of parts combined to make quite a unique bobber! Up for sale is my Black 2006 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic. The bike has just over 27,000 adult driven miles on it & runs FLAWLESSLY. This motorcycle has been meticulously cared for (with an open checkbook) since I bought it new in 2006. Trust me (or my 100% feedback score) when I tell you this is NOT your typical Harley Ultra. No expense was spared when this bike was built into what it is now and all the work performed was done RIGHT by retired Harley-Davidson factory engineers. The details: JIMS 120" RACE ENGINE - Heads were further race ported/polished and Andrews .625 Lift Camshafts with S & S Gear Drives were installed in 2010. New Piston Rings and Fueling Lifters were also installed at that time. This made a night & day improvement over the "stock" JIMS engine. The oil has been changed religiously every 2,000 miles. Zipper's ThunderMax EFI Computer with Autotune - This EFI system constantly adjusts itself for temperature, air density, altitude etc. which allows the engine to perform at it's peak level at all times. D & D Boarzilla 2:1 Exhaust System. Simply the BEST exhaust system for large displacement engines... and specifically tuned for the Zipper's EFI Computer on the bike. Baker DD6 Six Speed Transmission. Baker "Plus One" Oil Pan - Allows an extra quart of oil capacity to reduce oil temperature. Dropped the oil temperature 30-40 degrees (F) on average... which is ALOT. Renegade Wheels with matching Brake Rotors - 21" Front, 18" Rear. Metzeler Tires - Newer Front (approx 3,000 miles on it), BRAND NEW Rear - just installed. Klock Werks Front Fender. Klock Werks Low Windshield. BRAND NEW Battery. H-D Badlander Seat. Full set of Screamin' Eagle Gauges. The OEM Stereo has been customized - a 600 Watt Amplifier with 4 High Output Speakers was professionally installed. Absolutely the BEST stereo I've seen or heard on a bike yet... & I'm not just saying that because it's mine. I tried both Hog Tunes & Hawg Wired and was sadly disappointed with both. There is well over $40,000 invested in this motorcycle. Only the BEST OF THE BEST was done to this bike & it has been lovingly cared for. If this Harley needed anything done to keep it in top condition IT GOT IT. Most of the miles have been from longer trips... Sturgis several times, Daytona twice, trips to northern WI two to three times every year... so it had to ALWAYS be ready to go. It wouldn't do me any good to have it any other way.
