The bike is all powder coated with hand painted pinstripes. It's a display piece in our living room. Install a petcock, some gas & with a few adjustments you'll be up and running. The bike is sporting a Honda GC160 4-stroke overhead cam single cylinder. I have the same motor in my other bike and it runs great, top speed is around 50MPH (but not recommended, please wear a helmet). Kawasaki claims that the new Voyager was inspired by 1960s sports cars, but I suspect it would struggle to say exactly which cars inspired any particular aspects. That's because the bike is clearly inspired by – and pitched directly against – Harley-Davidson's Electra Glide Ultra.Many would be hard pushed to tell them apart, suggesting that Kawasaki has at least got the styling right. For all its kitsch appearance, the Voyager is a convincing rival visually.Where many bikes fail in taking on Harley, however, is in matching other qualities of the troubled Milwaukee marque. To be convincing, the Voyager must be an effective tourer and have a good stab at matching the less easily defined qualities that have persuaded more than 50 per cent of big-bike buyers in the States to buy Harley-Davidsons.Some of the detailing will be given nods of approval, such as the white-on-black, simple serif script on the clocks, the chunky chrome ignition switch and of course the overall look of the big V-twin engine, which looks air-cooled even though there's liquid and a tucked-away radiator.But when it comes to feel, the Voyager isn't quite there. The top box, for example, is made of flimsy plastic with cheap catches that were already rusting on my test bike, while the lock wouldn't defeat a nine-year-old. The clutch's biting point is vague, making tight manoeuvres harder work than they need be, while the engine lacks the rawness of a Harley. That's a difficult criticism to make (many riders would find the smoother Kawasaki preferable) but for me the essence of Harley is the balance between crudeness and sophistication.Like a Harley, the Voyager's top gear is overdrive-tall, poviding a relaxed feel at motorway speeds. But the height of the unadjustable screen cuts right across the field of vision for taller riders such as myself. Even if you are able to look through it, there's no way of clearing rain drops from it – with a layer of winter road sludge, forward visibility is going to be a real issue.If you can see over the top, there's a relentless vibrating turbulence at anything over 80mph, and since the riding position could well induce backache, longer distances can become more tiring than they should. The seat pushed me too far forward, while the forward footboards didn't allow me to take any weight through my legs.There's plenty of Harley-type equipment, including a radio with ambient sound compensation which is surprisingly clear even at high speeds, although it lacks RDS station recognition which is almost universal these days. There are no rear speakers though, the sound is a lot less clear for the pillion. The passenger's legs rub on the bike's paintwork, too, although it's a comfortable place to be. I'm not keen on the radio buttons elbowing the horn push out of its usual place, while the equally busy right switch cluster includes cruise control, which is useful if sometimes jerky when it engages.As with a Harley, there's a lot of heat coming off the engine. This will be welcome in winter but too much, I suspect, on hot summer days.The bike handles well; neutral right down to walking pace and very stable at high speeds – not like a Harley, for once, and all the better for that. However the underdamped suspension can bounce you around on rougher roads, while the 4.4-gallon tank means that you'll need to worry about refuelling after only 150 miles, despite the Harley-beating 40mpg the bike returns.What you get on the Kawasaki is a consistency of quality that Harley still struggles with. The finish and detailing are to a high standard generally (luggage aside) and you know you won't start seeing major components corrode as soon as you roll it out of the showroom. I find myself peeking under the cover of this one each time a walk through my garage. A 2006 Custom built Chopper that has more than its share of attitude, this beauty is a sure attention getter anywhere it goes. Throw your leg over the thundering 100 ci Rev Tech motor, coupled with a sweet sounding set of Samson BIG radius pipes and you will undoubtedly be the center of the motorcycle universe. The best part is you get to be the center of attention for less cost than a new Sportster and 1/4 of the $30,000.00 price tag when this one sat new on the showroom floor. This machine is in terrific condition and has been well cared for by its two owners. The paint is way above average in quality and more than average in condition. The different layers of flames and clear coating are well done as you can see in the many pictures. The babe on the back is there since there is no seat for the real thing I guess? It has no visible dents, damage, or issues that I could see. The only minor fault may be a few touch up places on the frame from assembly and adjustments to fitted components. The one nick by the VIN is from the steering stop. The bike is equipped with chrome front forks, chrome brake calipers, chrome chain sprocket, braided lines, chrome oil tank, chrome starter, chrome front and rear spoke wheels, chrome grips, chrome brake and clutch levers, chrome front and rear master cylinders, chrome regulator, to many chrome engine parts to mention, multise cross license plate light bracket, an old skool single rider springer leather seat, polished aluminum bullet shifter peg, rider pegs, brackets and much more. Listed for sale is my friend's BEAUTIFUL 1957 Harley Davidson FLH Hydra Glide with matching 1950 sidecar Vin# 50LE1082. This bike and sidecar was restored in 1998 with the engine and transmission rebuilt, new paint, upholstery and mechanicals. The seat and kick pedal were replaced with new parts but the original seat and pedal will go with the bike to the new owner. All the tires were replaced last year and the battery in 2015. This bike still retains the original 6 volt system, runs and drives as it should and though restored has 98% of it's original parts. This one-owner motorcycle is the ultimate in HOT ROD styling while offering all the touring comfort you could be looking for in a Harley Davidson. When you get right down to it, riding a Harley is all about attitude and this awesome Vivid Black 2009 FLHX Street Glide offers the look and feel that real attitude deserves. This machine is in incredible condition as you would expect from one with only 22,005 miles. It was just traded in on a new Jeep in Parkville, MD when the original owner traded it on something with windshield wipers and power windows. It was originally sold new at Harley Davidson of Fredrick MD and with such low miles is scarcely warmed up. It has no visible dings or dents that I noticed while giving it my personal inspection and detail other than a few minor nicks here and there that have been touched up. They're tiny enough that they won't show in a picture. The front and rear tires are both at 85% plus. The leather seat is like new with no wear or damage. The chrome is in excellent condition and all components work as they should. This one has lots of additional blacked out goodies that set it apart from any standard FLHX on the street. Lot's of blacked out parts, a power commander, sweet sounding exhaust and a bucket full of added accessories. The feel youll get when youre cruisin the streets well that is something every man dreams of and every woman secretly desires. When youre on the highway and the legs need a stretch, just flip the kickstand down and take a stroll. A stylishly stripped-down dresser, the Street Glide features lowered rear suspension and Tri-line LED lighting at the bottom of the rear fender for a low, lean profile. A traditional bat wing fairing holds a 40-watt Advanced Audio System by Harman/Kardon. A stretched, chrome fuel tank console and Streamliner footboards, brake pedal and passenger pegs finish the custom treatment. Newly restyled Black Slotted Disc cast aluminum wheels are exclusive to the Street Glide. A new low-mount license bracket locates the plate below the tail lamp, with new LED illumination.NEW ON TOURING MODELS FOR 2009A new chassis designed to deliver precise responsive maneuverability, increased capacity and greater comfort for rider and passenger was introduced byHarley-Davidson for 2009. Incorporating an all-new frame, swingarm, engine mounting system, wheels and tires, the new chassis forms the foundation for what are truly all-new motorcycles. The key styling elements of these motorcycles, however, are essentially unchanged so that the distinctive character and mechanical beauty of each Touring model is preserved. New from the tires up, the Touring chassis is based on a single-spar, rigid backbone frame that supports an increase in load capacity of 70 pounds. This allows for a five pound increase in each saddlebag. A new swingarm contributes significantly to the overall system. The engine-isolation system has been revised to reduce engine and vehicle vibrations at idle speed. The wheel-and-tire package is updated, with front wheel diameter increased to 17 inches from 16 inches while the width of the 16-inch rear wheel is increased to five inches from three inches. All Touring models will be equipped with new Dunlop D407 Multi-Tread rear tires that offer up to 25 percent more rear-tire tread life. The wider rear wheel accommodates a new 180/65-16 rear tire. The new front tire is a 130/80-17. Front and rear suspension has been recalibrated to match the dynamics of the new chassis, wheels and tires. Powertrain revisions include a new 2-1-2 exhaust system that reduces heat exposure to the rider and passenger, and a lower final drive ratio for improved acceleration performance. For sale here is my 2003 Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle Road King. In excellent condition and a great bike. I purchased it with 6000 miles on it and now has 52,297. This bike was dino tuned. I replaced the cam chain tensioner at 30,000miles. It has a new battery. The rear tire is at approx. 95% front tire at 60%. It has a recurved and slightly smoked front windshield, tour pack, and backrest. 12v aux plug for GPS or phone. Cruise control is operable with exception for the roll off function. The only damage is a penny sized area on the fuse panel where a tie-down rubbed -that area has been touched up. This bike has never wrecked or had any other issues other than normal wear and tear for a bike this age. I'm a senior Vietnam vet and I have taken excellent care of this bike, doing all service as required. My age is demanding a lighter bike, and therefore I am selling this Road King and riding the FXR4 Harley now. Please email with any questions, and see my other auctions for another bike I'm selling.
