It’s got a bit more presence, punch and space than the smaller 883cc family but without the weight and unwieldy feel of the 1340/1450cc big end motorcycles. It’s classic, air cooled Harley – if you want one you’ll probably not consider anything else. Full name is the Harley-Davidson XL1200 Sportster Custom. This is one bad a$$ bike. Awesome sound, easy to ride and it looks great. If you are just starting out, want something to to bar hop with or just want an inexpensive bike, this is the right one. The rear tire has approximately 40% tread remaining, front tire has about 60% tread remaining. There is some minor pitting on the front forks just like every other Harley of this vintage. It does have after market pipes and the carb is jetted. The grips shoud be replaced. I did not do it because when I started to look for them, there were so many options to go custom, I figured to let the new owner pick them out.
