WHAT IS IT ?The Street Rod is arguably the best American-produced roadster/naked bike ever. A mildly-aggressive, upright riding position utilizes mid-mount controls instead of traditional cruisers' feet-forward position, This provides the rider with more control when cornering. Since the Street Rod is taller than other VRod models, it's roomier and more comfortable as it does not squeeze you down into a compressed clamshell position. The installed handlebars and risers combine for a relaxed, near-upright riding position, all but eliminating the weight on your wrists. Some might consider this an 'adult' version of a sport bike because it doesn't mind being ridden that way. LIMITED PRODUCTIONThe limited-production Street Rod was only built for the 2006 and 2007 model years. It retained the better handling 180 rear tire instead the ultra wide 240. With the reduced rake and additional ground clearance, this model has a 40ª lean angle instead of the 29-32ª typical of most cruisers. The 'R' model is easily the best handling of the VRSC family and will periodically startle a sport bike rider. ENGINEThe modern Porsche-designed engine generates plenty of power at street legal speeds and beyond. The Revolution engine has dual overhead cams, which gives it a amazingly flexible power band and pulls hard all the way to red line (9000 RPM). The gear ratios are perfectly matched and the Brembo brakes will quickly scrub off any excessive speed, should you get carried away. DISTANCE RIDINGTypical fuel range is 150 -180 miles, depending on city or highway travel. (fuel capacity is 5 gallons). The bike is rock-solid stable at Interstate speeds and the riding position is day-long comfortable. Although it's lighter than many touring and sport-touring machines, the VRSCR is still heavy enough to stay planted and not get blown around by semi-trucks or heavy crosswinds. I just dont ride it enough to justify keeping it and due to non-related injury the ride position has become uncomfortable for me. Many accessories added (as seen in Photos) including a custom painted airbox cover (hand painted and signed Papa Studios, Brian Papa), night rod headlight assembly, radiator shrouds, deep bucket seat, clock, garage door opener, Harley battery tender, New Tires, lots of misc chrome and I have ALL original parts to restore to factory showroom new original condition (including the original airbox cover and original light assembly). All recommended service & vehicle inspections completed by Kent's Harley Davidson, Abilene, Texas. Short of finding one in a factory crate, youd be hard pressed to find one in better condition than this one. Always garage parked and covered.
