Im selling my 1985 Honda XL600R, I bought it a while back to ride on a property I share. At the time it was running real good but made a little smoke from the exhaust, I noticed over time that the smoke would come and go from time to time. It now smokes more than it used to, but still runs pretty well and it usually starts pretty easily. This is ALOT of dirtbike, its a 600 and weighs practically nothing! It is capable of almost 100 mph. The tank is dented on the right side, it was not wrecked it fell over once in my trailer, the seat will need recovered. 6786 miles on it. The tires have good tread and hold air, but they are older and should probably be replaced if you plan on riding it on the street. It will need a battery to work the turn signals, but it does not need a battery to run and work the headlight.I have since from having to kick start this bike (its a 600), bought a more modern 650cc dual sport bike that is electric start (godsend). I planned on restoring this bike from when I got it, as it is for the most part all complete. And these older XL's are getting kinda rare, especially in a 600, I always thought the 85 had the best color scheme. The previous owner of this bike gave me alot of used parts with the bike when I bought it, almost an entire used engine in parts from another 1986 XL600R he owned but wrecked, cylinder, head, piston, crankcase (entire assy.), coil, CDI. The extra parts are included with the bike, I just dont have time to work on it, and have another dual sport now to ride. I probably have the parts to make it no longer smoke.Since its smokes and is a little bit of a project im selling it AS ISIt has a valid PA title.Its probably worth more than im asking and the bike is for sale locally and this listing can end at any time due to sale of the bike. Im at the point where I just have no use for it, and all the parts I have for it, and want it out of my garage.
