To that end they even gave the European CB900 an oil cooler as standard equipment'. . Includes: His and Hers Cobin Seat Service Records Available Motorcycles Retro/Classic 8392 PSN . Neither is it a road-sport model though it was directly derived from one of the most sporting motorcycles Honda has ever made for sale to the public. According to our sources at American Honda the 900 wasn't intended for the touring rider yet it definitely has some of a touring bike's attributes. an item not usually necessary in America where the law's admonition to "cool it" tends also to keep oil temperatures low. the CB900 has an interesting lineage. Honda opened the 750's bores from 62 to 64.5 millimeters stretched its stroke (also 62mm) to 69mm and thus increased its displacement to 902 cubic centimeters. the bike got its drive shaft along with many added pounds and a greatly lengthened wheelbase. 1981 Honda CB 900 Custom 1981 Honda CB 900 Custom (CB900C) "Oh do not ask 'What is it ' Let us go and make our visit." T.S. That was not to be. the only thing it clearly is is a marketplace competitor for the Suzuki GS850 and Yamaha XS850; on that basis shall it be judged by us and everyone. . It was initially a bored and stroked version of the 16-valve CB750F made for the European market and introduced there last year. Europe's CB900s are chain driven and Honda wanted a shaft-drive model to slip into the broad product gap between the GL1100 and CX500 shafties. We'll admit that we'd have been well pleased if Honda had decided to fit the European CB900 with DOT lighting EPA carburetion and sent it here without making another change. So to borrow from the beer commercial the Americanized CB900 gives you more and less: more civility less performance. They made the stroker crank's webs thicker lengthened the block and rods upped the intake and exhaust valve diameters by 1.0 and 0.5mm respectively and added five degrees of duration at the cam lobes' opening sides. Eliot Two Owner Bike! Honda's cb900 custom is a bit of an enigma to us and perhaps even to its creators. And despite having officially been designated a "custom " the CB900 isn't quite that either. There were other performance-related changes as well because what Honda wanted (and by all accounts succeeded in making) was a super-sport motorcycle capable of holding its own on Europe's no-speed-limit highways...

Up for sale is a very nice custom Honda GL1100 Goldwing. This bike has quite a bit of custom work done to it to make it a very comfortable, reliable, one of a kind bike. Unlike most custom motorcycles, nothing has been cut up or butchered. It runs very good and is as reliable as a you would expect from a bike that has had all this work! Starts right up every time. It's a ton of fun and gets a lot of attention wherever I go with it. Handles really nice too. I have taken it through Silverado and Live Oak Canyons a few times and it's great fun in the canyons and in the tight corners too! If I didn't have a T-Bucket project going, I'd keep this bike for myself. I have priced this bike far below what I have seen others listed for, but I need to sell it, so, I will entertain any reasonable offer. If you would like to come take a look at the bike or have any questions, feel free to message me on here or give me a call at (714) 606-1229. And for those that are curious, (I get a lot of questions about this) the Weber carb works well. It took about 3 days of tuning to figure out the jetting and accelerator pump curve, but it's dialed in and this bike is actually faster than my KZ1000 Police bike. Gas mileage is right at about 40 mpg and topped out, I have done right about 115 MPH, according to my GPS. Yeah, no R1 or ZX14, but hop on your buddies CB750 and give that a try. Not bad for 1980. So, I'd say the Weber was an improvement once I got it tuned up.

I have a 1985 Yamaha FJ1100 for sale. This is a fantastic bike and is quite powerful. I believe it is around 125 HP. It's air-cooled, big, and full of torque. Really slams past 5500 rpm. Runs great! The Pichler fairing on this bike alone could probably bring in around 900-1000 dollars on eBay. If you google it you will see that it is almost impossibly rare. Being an FJ fan for years (I've had an FJ600 and another FJ1100) I had never seen one until I found this gem. When I got it, it had been sitting and needed some carb work and a couple other things. I brought it to Wrench-My-Ride in Santa Clara because they like to work on older classic bikes and was told by their lead tech that this was one of the best examples of an old bike he'd ever come across. The bike starts right up and idles with an amazing amount of smoothness. It's really quite docile at low speeds and is about as comfortable as any cruiser you could find, while still being on par with a 1st Gen Vmax or even a modern 600 in speed. I believe the 1/4 mile record for these bikes was mid 10's, so it's no slouch. This particular bike has DEFINITELY been lowered. It would be fantastic for a shorter rider, as it's one of the lowest bikes I've come across... comparable to my girlfriend's lowered Honda CB300f.. I would guess the seat height is no heigher than 30.5" right now as-is. You do sacrifice a tiny bit of lean angle with the full fairing and this lower setup, but this is more of a sport touring bike, anyway... and it will still hit the mountain corners just fine. There are a couple scratches and paint chips as would be expected on a bike this age, but overall it's in great condition. You can stop by and see many examples of these bikes that have gone well over 100k miles, so this engine at 6000 (currently riding it off and on to work when I'm not on my ZX14, so it will go up a little) is just broken in. It also has a brand new air filter and I just had the oil changed less than 150 miles ago, so all it needs is a rider. Other info: Compression after warming up was all within 155-165 psi on each cylinder. A little lower when cold, but it warms up quick. There is sometimes a little smoke when first warming up.. the mechanic said it was nothing to worry about and was either the seafoam I poured in the tank before taking it to him for the carb work or possibly the valve gaskets being a bit old on cold starts. Typically only happens if you let it sit for a week between rides, though. Doesn't smoke or burn any oil after 1 minutes of running when it does this, though.I'm asking 2200 obo. I know how CL can be, so I'm open to offers. Also open to a trade for an enduro/street legal dirt bike like an older Honda XL500 + cash, so let me know what you got. I already have a ZX14, otherwise I would keep this bike, but both are essentially sport touring machines and, while I LOVE FJ1100/1200's, there's just no sense in keeping both around.

Beautiful GPz550. The photos speak for themselves. They were taken July 31 2015. I can deliver the Kawasaki to Blaine, Washington, or to a dealer in Bellingham, Washington. The carbs will need to be cleaned, and it needs a fresh battery. Tires are brand new and have fewer than 10 miles on them. Reason for selling: Changing health, and too many motorcycles (28) to care for and enjoy fully. I worked on the editorial staff of motorcycle magazines back in the day, and love motorcycles of all different varieties. I am NOT a dealer. I bought this GPz, along with all my other motorcycles, for my own pleasure and to ride. I'd rather see someone else enjoy them rather than have them languish in my garage. In a couple of weeks I will also be listing for sale: 1975 Honda CB400F (nicely restored)1966 Ducati Diana (pristine)1984 Honda CB1100F2012 Ducati Panigale Tricolore S (700 miles)2012 Kawasaki ZX14 (1200 miles)1989 Honda Hawk GT650 (900 miles)1990 Bimota YB (1000 miles)2006 Harley Davidson V-Rod Destroyer (never run) (and for those car lovers, a 1986 Porsche Turbo slantnose with 31,000 original miles) You may call me at 360.945.7777.
