I ve been building this for the last couple years. It does have a different motor in it. The engine It came from a low milage 1972 CB500. I like them better than the 550's. Has custom bucket from BCR with the Speedo built in. I have the tach so you can swap it out. Its kick only. I took the starter out and center stand to lighten it up. Full electric ignition. Pamco Ignition with Dyna coils. Small lithium ion battery under the cowl. I prefer drag bars cause I'm old but would be nice with clubmans or clip ons. Had a custom steal seat made with a custom loop welded on. This bike is fun. I was going to rebuild the clutch this spring. Thanks for looking Local pickup only, no shipping available. Up for sale is an original 1976 Honda cb550f super sport with a little over 36,000 miles and a clear title. Bike is in great original condition, has been sitting for a couple years and will need the crabs cleaned and tuned, new battery, and some old gas drained out, other than some slight tlc it will do it some good from sitting a few years. Bike has windjammer fairing, headlight bucket that is original is in tact no lens, the key switch is on the fairing, I can remove the fairing if desired, paint is good on tank, inside of tank good, small scuff or two in tank paint, and the left side panel has one tab missing, no cracks.. Has original under seat tool kit , Great seat and pan . Overall the chrome on the bike is in great shape on the shocks, wheels, fenders, pretty much all the chrome has no rust, and the bike is very clean and rust free, some small spots of rust on frame, nice wheels, fenders.. 1975 Honda CB400F Supersport First year bike in very original condition, all stock, the only part I can see missing is the chain guard. I bought the bike from the second owner, was purchased new in the next town by apparently a postman, the bike has been sitting in covered storage since 85 when I got it. I rebuilt the carbs with new seals, cleaned the tank and changed the fuel lines, rebuilt the front brake master cylinder and caliper and fitted a new battery. Oiled the chain and cleaned the bike and just generally got it to running and riding condition. It runs like a top, starts on both the kick start and electric start (had to fit an aftermarket start button, as this cb400f suffered the same brittle starter switch failure you always see on these and the 750's with the same switch...) all electrics work, needs a flasher relay which I will fit before it goes. The bike has the original owners manual, tool kit and the personal tag which reads 400SS, I really wanted to keep this but it's a shame to split it from the bike. The original paint is pretty good, there is a small dent on he top of the tank that I think could be popped out and another small dent at the back of the tank, the header on the far right has a little rash right on the corner, other than that the exhaust is in fantastic shape! The rest of the bike is generally good condition for it's age chrome is good, wiring is all intact and not chopped or messed with, tires are pretty tired and will need to be changed before any highway riding can be done, but they do run round with no flat spots and hold air well so could be used for short town stuff for the time being.... The clutch is a little whiney I think that could be just from sitting and might quiet down with use, but it shifts great through all gears. I do not currently have a title but if the buy it now price is agreed I will go and get the bike inspected and titled, which is an easy process on an antique bike in Kansas. Not in a hurry to sell, so please no low balls, bike is advertised elsewhere so may be removed at any time if sold. Thanks for looking, hope to find a home for this one.

Up for sales is my 1976 Honda CB550F. I did own 250, 350 before and worry about over 500 may too big and too heavy for me. It was surprise me this Honda CB550F pretty light weight and not too heavy like the 750. It not like the small engine run so hard or over heat when run on the freeway. This CB550F almost everything is stock , excepted some of the upgrade: Before it had electric shortage problem, I spent a lot of moneys for tracing the problem. They found out is the tail light shortage,. Sure they replaced new wire and did a completed diagnostic to make sure all electric is in the right AMP / Voltage without any problem. Meantime, they upgraded the Ricks voltage regulator rectifier, reset timing, turn signal lights, tail light and new battery for me. All carburetors had been cleaned and synchronized Fresh Oil Changed and New Oil Filter New Low Scoop Handlebar, Front and Rear New Tires Original seat had been custom to café style. It run very strong and sound very nice. For a 39 years old bike all chrome are shinny , even the original exhaust muffler no rust. Current registered.Plate till 2016 Condition shown on pictures. Serious buyer only , show me the cash for test ride with your M1 license. Bring your own helmet, too. I am not in hurry to sell, NO LOW BALL or Tire Kicker. Numbers matching early production bike as this was the 793rd CB550F produced in 1976. Serial # CB550F - 2000796. Engine # CB550E - 1110872. Rare Shiny Orange in color. Original paint. Original seat cover. Original exhaust. The Clubman handle bars and the Fox rear shocks are the only things we can find that are not original to the bike. They are period correct. New battery, new NGK plugs, new air filter, new oil filter and fresh Honda GN4 oil. Carbs have been ultrasonically cleaned, rebuilt with new kits and synchronized. She really runs smooth and great!! Shifts smoothly through all gears. Front brake system has been evacuated and clean fluid installed. Everything electric works as if it were new. Tank is clean inside and unlined. Now for the bad. There are two small dents/scratches where the handle bars were not adjusted correctly at some point. The controls hit the tank lightly at some time. The damage appears to be very old. A good painter could spot repair both places and preserve the original paint. The front tire has some cracks although it does hold air just fine.
