1987 Honda Rebel 450 cc 6 speed manual transmission with overdrive that will cruise with the big bikes all day long at 70 mph. Comes with removable windshield and saddle bags and back rest and hiway bars. 37586 miles. It has been fully serviced. Has no dents in the fuel tank and only a few scratches on the rear fender. The Honda Rebel 450 was only manufactured in 1986 and 1987. A dispute with Harley Davidson and subsequent lawsuit by Harley ended the manufacture of the Honda Rebel 450 in 1987. This is a 1987 450 Rebel only made 2 years so it is rare and a beautiful bike when finished. This bike is Basicly a basket case. But it is all there. It was complete when I got it, and I took it apart to refurbish the entire bike. And I wanted to make sure the engine ran ok before I started putting money into it. Turns out it runs fine. Had the Carbs reduilt and started it with a remote gas tank. I have the stock Tank its in great shape needs paint and a real good cleaning a lot of rust inside it. I went as far as buying a lot of new parts for it, but then my health went to **** so unfortunatly I just cant finish it.  So for your $1000 you get all the stock parts AND all the new parts I bought for it. It is a Rolling frame The Wheels and engine are on the bike so actually no Major work to be done. I Changed the Bars put on some 1" buckhorn bars so it will need some electrical work done I left the wire long so it can be managed easily until you get it perfect then just cut them down and make them the right size. It does have a Clean title so no worries at DMV it is regerstered NoN-OP so you pay no fees untill your ready to ride it. Sorry I have No pictures. If your interested come by and take a look at it. I am keeping it in a storage locker so It needs to be during the day to view it.

So, story goes, the gentleman bought this bike to sight see the U.S. On his way he stopped in Nashville after having a few troubles on the road. We assessed the situation and ended up doing some engine repair caused by a leaky oil seal. The bike however wasn't able to be finished before the customer left for home and he decided to sell his journey machine to a lucky soul in Nashville. Cool story! The CMX450 boasts more power than its younger 250 sibling and has a 6 speed gear box making it quite suitable for interstate and highway driving. This is a rare low mileage bike. It runs like a dream because it has been taken care of. New tires, new brake pads and new battery were installed this past summer. An oil change and chain is lubrication was done this past November. It has a 6-speed tranny and cruises 75 mph with two people as long as you want. VINTAGE 1986 HONDA REBEL 450 CMX-450 The first owner this bike bought it right off the showroom floor of Blackman's cycle of Emmaus PA. This bike was only built for two years 1986 & 1987. Harley Davidson claimed the bike was too similar to their 883 and Harley Davidson won and Honda stopped production on the CMX-450 permanently. When the first owner stopped riding he passed the bike down to his son in May of 2007 with a mear 1300 miles on the odometer. The son but this baby and his garage and was a very occasional rider. When he realized this beauty needed to riden he sold it to the 3rd owner and she came home with me. As "Murphy's Law" always does my doctor told me my (4) slipped discs have made it impossible for me to ride on a regular basis I put her in the garage and there she waited. The time has come. In January of this year my 24 year old went missing. Corey is a USMC vet with the 1/9 aka "The Walking Dead". After three tours and the birth of his son he came back to PA to be close to me and his mother from Coaldale PA (http://www.tnonline.com/2014/feb/03/police-continue-search-missing-coaldale-man) In early Septemeber his remains were discovered near a mine (http://www.wfmz.com/news/Regional-Poconos-Coal/family-struggles-with-unanswered-questions-after-marines-body-found/28019564).
