This is a 2006 Honda Helix in the always current Italian Red with a very desirable (and extremely difficult to find) newly installed Hondaline Kenwood radio. It has low miles and has been in storage for a long part of its life. I have always been fond of the Helix as I saw a few while living in Europe and it amazed me that folks would drive it in the highways as commuters or for going between towns in winding roads. I also think its retro "snowmobilesque" design is amazing. I thought of having one for years until my mechanic made me aware of one available from a person that had just bought it from a place where it was stored for years. I bought the Helix early this year shortly after it came out of storage and restored it for my personal occasional use. However, real estate development in my area has been growing steadily and what was a quiet street has now become a much busier thoroughfare. I'm not very experienced in riding motorcycles (I am not a motorcycle person) and I have been busy traveling for long work engagements and I think this should go to someone that will use it as it was intended. Though it didn't really need a full restoration at all however, I wanted the Helix to look and run as brand new so I did the following: 1. Replaced all front and side upper and bottom panels in their original color- bought from Honda dealer, including all hardware and front bracket, this also includes NEW OEM ash color translucent air deflectors;2. Replaced radiator with new radiator, new radiator hoses, new temperature sender, new fan, new OEM powder coated front bracket, new screws, adapters, nuts, full flush and new coolant;3. Had tank removed flushed and cleaned, new fuel lines, new filter;4. Rebuilt carburetor;5. New starter relay installed;6. Full service done (new spark plug, new air filter, new cam shaft ventilation filter, oil change; new oil filter screen);7. Replaced side view mirrors with new OEM side view mirrors;8. New 20" tall 13" wide windshield made by 7Jurock, which is a much better replacement than OEM, made with aircraft grade acrylic and 3/16" thick DOT approved. Much clearer view and safer than OEM;9. New brake pads and shoes, cleaned and adjusted brakes;10. Basically a full disassemble and dedicated cleaning and removal of dirt and accumulation to look as new from factory. (However it wasn't very dirty to begin with).11. Tires are very good so they did not need changing.12. New battery.13. New floor mats (couldn't make them shine like new so I bought new OEM ones- maybe too obsessive);14. New OEM keys- kept coded key for reference and had three new OEM keys made). One MAJOR find I had was finding a fully working Hondaline Kenwood stereo for the Helix. In addition to it I found a NOS installation kit for the Honda Helix. This is not another stereo adapted to the Helix, it was custom designed for it, and greatly aids in a better riding experience, especially in this maxi scooter that is designed for long trips. I also ordered new more powerful speakers custom made for Honda Helix. This was a very expensive endeavor and thus affects the price of this Helix. (I am willing to sell the Helix for a lower price if I remove the stereo. This would make the Helix need a new dash cover, as that would come with the radio and the speakers, which sells at $30 new. Cost for this radio setup was over $1K. This is a very desired radio. It can be controlled from the left handle bar while having the hand on position. It has FM and AM radio. The replacement speakers are NEW, and are more powerful than the OEM. They also have a tweeter cone and they measured the correct size which you can't do with available speakers. This was a small run custom ordered by Dartman and I bought a pair while he still had them. This Hondaline Kenwood was also installed with its amplifier. I placed a new small auto rubber antenna on the right rear panel where it is supposed to go, and it works great. It does work on a 12 volt system and the antenna connectors are auto spec. You CAN add an FM bluetooth modulator like the iSimple Tranzit (about $60), so that you can connect your smartphone, iphone, etc., this was the last project before I changed my mind on having motorbikes at home). I keep the battery with a trickle charge on a battery tender. I the battery has that special adapter on its side and it comes out from an OEM opening under the seat. I bought a battery tender USB adapter so that you can charge your iPhone (or other phone) with this adapter . You can leave it in the glove box when not in use or when you have it connected to the battery tender. One very nice thing of this Helix is that the seat is in great shape. No scuffs and no sun damage. It is VERY comfortable. I am willing to sell overseas, however any logistics costs, including custom duties, broker fees, etc. are the sole responsibility of the buyer. I deliver the Helix to your customs broker shipper and I consider to have performed in full. I do not know much about exporting vehicles, so please do your own research regarding this. This Helix was made in Japan for origin purposes. I live in the Houston which has a huge port, and I live close to I-45 North. So it is not difficult to ship anywhere. This is a 2006 model which was only offered in the U.S. until 2007. Many are calling for its second return, which I don't think will occur even if this Helix is still being sold new in Japan and some places in Europe. Please see this model's factory specs. Please ask any question before bidding or buying, or for any specific picture that you may need. It does come with its owner's manual, a factory service manual and its complete tool box that is strapped in the trunk, that even comes with a spare spark plug and fuses as they came out of the dealer.
