Selling a nice clean vintage 1974 Honda MR50 Elsinore kids minibike. This is a neat little vintage machine that appears to be in great original condition. I dont know a ton about the MR50, but I was told this was all original. Sold with a bill of sale only. Not registered in the state of CA. I bought it to ride back and fourth to my mailbox. I have had it for about 2 years and it runs well. Tank and seat are in great shape for the bikes age. I think its all original, right down to grips, but I am not an expert on the MR 50's. The plastic is in great shape but has normal scuffing from age. Please look closely at the pics. I would not call it mint, but I would call it a very clean rider. Everything is straight, bars, levers, pegs. The brake lever tip is broke off, but its a clean break. This is a cool bike because it is both a two stroke AND it has a working clutch. All the other Honda mini's are four strokes and automatic. This would make a great addition to your collection or use as a pit bike or a rider. The boring stuff (but please read):Shipping: I suggest you use Daily Direct for transport. Vintage 1975 Honda MR250 Elsinore

Rare and unique piece of motorcycle racing history. Only produced by Honda for one year (1975), as a factory racing cycle before Honda turned this into a street legal enduro to compete with all the other enduro's appearing on the market.The MR 250 was produced to compete on the desert race circuit,hill climb and longer forest scrambles type racing. Racer's complained that the CR250's were to pipey and did not have the torque to compete effectively in these race's against the Husky's,Yamaha's,Maico's etc so the MR 250 was born. The biggest difference between the two Honda's (CR vs MR), is the flywheel counterbalance weight on the MR which gave this cycle the punch she needed to compete. Although not received well in the racing world the MR 250 proved a formidable competitor in the longer races and hillclimbs. Honda did continue the MR line of racer's with the 175 MR Elsinore. This rare find runs great,looks great and comes with the factory service manual and several hundred dollars worth of spare parts. 1974 Honda MR50 Elsinore A little History on the Honda MR50 Elsinore; It is an off road mini cycle made by Honda. It was manufactured in Japan by Honda and imported first to Australia and the United States in 1974 and continued to be available in the USA, Canada and Australia until production was discontinued in 1975. It was patterned after the CR125 and CR250 Elsinores. Like its big brothers it has spoke wheels, knobby tires, and plastic fenders. The engine was a 49 cc (3.0 cu in), air-cooled, two-stroke with 3 speed manual clutch transmission. Starting is a primary kick on the right side of the bike. The bike used conventional controls just like larger models. The shift pattern is neutral at the bottom and 3 up. Lubrication; premix at 25:1. The exhaust has a spark arrestor. This bike's mechanicals have been restored; with the engine and transmission rebuilt, new clutch, frame sandblasted and powder coated. Wheels have been professionally trued. It runs and shifts as it should. The fuel tank paint is in great original condition. This is a real beauty. You will not be disappointed with your purchase.
