Pristine 1999 Honda VFR800FI 5th Generation with gear driven cams! If you are looking for a super low mileage time capsule look no further. Always garage kept. I owned a 4th generation back in 1995 and have always wanted another VFR. After extensive research the majority of VFR owners and motorcycle enthusiast consider the 5th generation the best of the VFR's and arguably one of the best motorcycles Honda has ever made. I searched for almost a year to find a bike this nice. I bought this from a 43 year old original owner who took great care of this motorcycle for 15 years, it had 6883 miles on it. It looked great in the pictures but I honestly couldn't believe how nice it looked in person. I have very high standards and this definitely exceeded them. It currently has 9673 miles on it. I am 48 years old and have owned it for 2 years, Anyone who knows me is well aware of how meticulous I am and always take what I purchase and make it even better. It also had the original tires so I replaced them with some of the best sport touring tires on the market the Michelin Pilot Road 3's. I just changed the brake and clutch fluids as we'll as changed the oil. I did a bunch of research on the forums to see if there were any potential 'bugs' with the 5th generation and found the wiring harness and regulator could sometimes overheat and melt and so I purchased the VFRness and Ricks Motorsport Mosfet regulator rectifier not because it showed any sign that it needed it, I spent the money for piece of mind. I absolutely love this bike, the titanium high mount Remus exhaust brings the soul of the V4 engine to life showing off the intoxicating 'wuffle wuffle' sound and displaying the beautiful single sided swingarm. This 5th generation is the last of the gear driven cams and not only are they much more reliable than chain driven, the 'whirr' noise they make combined with the V4 sound makes each ride unforgettable. Nothing would make me happier than to sell this incredible motorcycle to someone who will appreciate it as much as I do and the original owner did. Please only serious inquiries and no low bidders.
