Up for sale is a REALLY nice 96 Shadow Ace VT1100C2. Registration is good through June 2017. Went through everything on this bike replaced everything that was worn or not within spec. This bike is in great shape and is mechanically perfect! The list of things that I've done to this bike is crazy! Replaced the heads with ones off a bike with 17k miles. Checked the valves, valve seats and seals. When the engine was out I decided to do a small overhaul. New head gaskets Checked (measured and mic's) out cylinders, pistons, rings, cams, cam chains & tensioners, which were all within spec. Replaced both side cover seals and every other gasket and O-ring that could leak oil. New clutch basket, Clutch (EBC), Clutch springs (EBC), New thermostat, All new fluids, New left hand switch gear with wiring harness. New battery cables, both hot and neutral, New fuel filter, Rebuilt front brake caliper and replaced both sets of pads. Vance & Hines exhaust, Carbs have been overhauled and re-jetted to match the aftermarket exhaust. Replaced both carb slides and rubber diaphragms. Replaced both pilot and main jets with Keihin jets. I owned a 4th generation back in 1995 and have always wanted another VFR. After extensive research the majority of VFR owners and motorcycle enthusiast consider the 5th generation the best of the VFR's and arguably one of the best motorcycles Honda has ever made. I searched for almost a year to find a bike this nice. I bought this from a 43 year old original owner who took great care of this motorcycle for 15 years, it had 6883 miles on it. It looked great in the pictures but I honestly couldn't believe how nice it looked in person. I have very high standards and this definitely exceeded them. It currently has 9673 miles on it. I am 48 years old and have owned it for 2 years, Anyone who knows me is well aware of how meticulous I am and always take what I purchase and make it even better. It also had the original tires so I replaced them with some of the best sport touring tires on the market the Michelin Pilot Road 3's. I just changed the brake and clutch fluids as we'll as changed the oil. I did a bunch of research on the forums to see if there were any potential 'bugs' with the 5th generation and found the wiring harness and regulator could sometimes overheat and melt and so I purchased the VFRness and Ricks Motorsport Mosfet regulator rectifier not because it showed any sign that it needed it, I spent the money for piece of mind. I absolutely love this bike, the titanium high mount Remus exhaust brings the soul of the V4 engine to life showing off the intoxicating 'wuffle wuffle' sound and displaying the beautiful single sided swingarm. This 5th generation is the last of the gear driven cams and not only are they much more reliable than chain driven, the 'whirr' noise they make combined with the V4 sound makes each ride unforgettable. Nothing would make me happier than to sell this incredible motorcycle to someone who will appreciate it as much as I do and the original owner did. Please only serious inquiries and no low bidders. Selling a 2006 Honda CRF230F, that when purchased, did not run and was in really rough shape; it was pretty much a parts bike. After many hours of labor and new parts, the bike now runs, but smokes (appears white) after it is warmed up; it does not smoke on startup. I believe the cylinder needs to be bored out, resleeved, or replaced as it has new piston, rings, head gasket, and valves are in spec so that is the only thing I can think of as to the cause of the smoke. I am just tired of throwing time and money at it and just want to get what I have in it. Rear tube has a slow leak, I will include a new one; mileage and hours are unknown. I have test ridden the bike a few times and the transmission shifts fine, brakes work great, suspension is plush, no weird noises or oil leaks. For sale here is my 2006 VFR800 Interceptor ABS model with 8400 original miles. This bike is in immaculate condition mechanically and cosmetically, never been dropped. I searched and searched for months before settling upon this bike. When it comes to my cars and other vehicles I am extremely particular on what I will buy and how I take car of them. This bike is 100% factory in every way except for a drop in K&N air filter replacement and a tank protector pad. It has never been tuned, raced, chopped up or molested in any way and has always been run on Premium gas. The person I bought it from was a big motorcycle enthusiast and had several other bikes, he sold this one because at the age of 68 it hurt his back alittle to much on long rides. He took perfect care of it as well. The paint on the bike is in perfect condition; the only blemish is a slight scuff mark on the right side fairing where the previous owner got alittle to close to the garage door one day backing out. Very hard to see unless I pointed it out but I will try to capture a picture of it. Both the front and rear tires are new Michelin Pilot Power 3's. ($376) I have the receipts from the Honda dealership at which they were installed. They were put on last year at approximately 6000 miles. The oil has been changed every season with genuine Honda 10w-40 GN4 oil. It is due to be changed now for this year which I will take care of before it sells. I keep the bike on a battery tender, covered, and up on the storage stand whenever its not being ridden. The bike is ready for a new home and needs nothing. The only reason i'm selling it is because we just had our first baby 6 weeks ago and i haven't touched it since! The bike pulls real hard and runs strong, I've had it for almost a year and ridden it most days with absolutely zero problems.
