Hello and welcome to my auction please read this Message First!!My ad's are different. I try to put Lot's of Pictures and they take a few minutes to download. I put A lot of different cars on EBAY and I Export most all of the cars either Overseas, to Canada, or across the United States. I Specialize in 1 & 2 Owner cars with Low miles. I feel they were Maintained better. There is a Free Autocheck in the ad. My scores are sometime DOUBLE the Average car. Although sometimes I can't pass up a good project...;-p. It is a Factory Built Model NOT a Kit made in someone's back yard. It has had only one owner Since the Build and only 5800 miles. My Friend and Jeweler Custom Ordered the car Locally from Mr. McBurnie. It was one of the original cars built before he was shut down by Ferrari and it took about 4 years from the time he ordered it to get everything completed on it. It is #79 0f 79 Built. Pretty cool to have the last one off the assembly line…;-) He ordered it with every possible option that he could. This car was his baby as you will see. It has spent all of its life in the garage. With Only 5,800 Original Miles on it from when the car was redone back in 1996. This is the car that was designed for Miami Vice TV Show and boy did it cause a lot of controversy when it came out. There is a Phantom Spot on the sensor of My camera when I took the pictures it is NOT on the car and you will see it in diff places in the pictures below... YES it ticks me off BUT I can't change it now I am sorryMy name is Nathan Wratislaw and when I met Mr. Tom McBurnie about a dozen years ago I had already seen many of these cars and owned one. My friend and Jeweler Paul was why I was "in the Know" and had had his for about 7 years at that time... It was SO Exotic.. I tried to buy this car back then NO WAY he said...LOL... There will never be another made he would always tell me. I went on to Buy the rights to the RIOT Car and all the Molds for that car from Mr. McBurnie and got to know him in the coming years and he also Taught me to lay Fiberglass the way he does on these cars... I'll tell you that training and having Lunch at least a few dozen times over that transition It just became Obvious how much Tom enjoyed Building cars like this. He went on for Years Building Carrera or Porsche 356 RSK and other Clones as well. This is all about the Last one of these California Daytona Spyders he Built and if you don't know about it do some research on Google it was quite a HUGE deal back then and this was the first Miami Vice Car as well.This Daytona even has the Custom made McBurnie Wheels Cast just for this car and likely under a dozen made. I have had 2 others in my life and this is the BEST by far. There is not many things about it that are not just as I would want them. Like I say the car is NOT Cheaply Built and I believe it is the Best one EVER made. My Friend lived here in San Diego and went back and forth and was very picky about having things done correctly.. Well he made sure of it and this car is a Masterpiece!! The previous owned was my jeweler that custom made my Gold rings. He passed away about a year ago. His wife called me up and asked if I could help here sell his cars. He was a very meticulous man that always made sure that everything was fixed properly and taken care of right away.This car was complete Frame off if you can say that about a vette etc and everything was upgaded etc. The motor was done right and is a 383 Stroker and VERY Powerful only 5800 miles and the Transmission has the desirable 4 speed Automatic and is VERY nice to drive on the Freeway and dos not run at a high RPM like a 3 speed would. The car also has a Fiberglass rear Spring and WOW What a difference in the way it rides! The exterior of this car is beautiful. There are many actual Ferrari parts and many molded after them etc The Paint is the Same High Quality Paint that has the Glasurit Paint and is in great condition. There are a couple of little chips/scuff marks from driving it. All of the Chrome Trim and Exhaust Tips shine like there is no tomorrow. The Convertible Top is in Great Shape and does not leak or anything like that. It has Eagle ZR50 Goodyear Tires with about 50% or so tread left. The back wheels are staggered a little compared to the front wheels. This car is just a rare beauty that you won't find another one of. Couple of paint chips/scratches. Chrome on wheels is chipping some. Drivers head rest need fixed. Hood struts need replaced. It has sat more since he died last year and will need a tune up and a bleed on the brakes. The car is a Blast to drive but is still a classic car that may be in need of some fixing up and resto now and then.. Like I think it should have a shim on the starter from the sound.
