All instrument gauges work, but cloudy covers....For those that aren't familiar with the v65 sabre; When new it and its brother the v65 Magna were promoted as the fastest production bikes in the world. Although they have long been surpassed, they still are quick and exciting. (thrid gear wheelies!!)...The Sabre was marketed as the first sport tourer. And does this job quite well. Very comfortable ergonomics for long riding. Overdrive 6th gear makes highway cruising very sedate and controlled, with no buzzing or annoying vibrations. It has an aftermarket sport wind screen, and Corbin seat. (original seat included.). Everything else is original....With only 15k miles, this bike has many many more to go!!! With the instrument gauge covers cloudy and scratched, the original owner must have kept it outside at one point. Or cleaned with harsh materials. I'm selling my 1984 Honda V65 Sabre. This bike is in outstanding condition with only 10,850 original miles. The bike has always been shinny side up and only has a few minor scratches. The side cover over the battery is missing. Also included is a Corbin seat for long distance riding. The bike does need some carburetor work (one of the carburetors is leaking fuel). 1985 Honda VF1100S V65 Sabre.1100cc engine.Runs good & clean condition (limited rust).Bike is very powerful and fast. This was the racing muscle bike of the 80's.Speedometer/Odometer/Tachometer cluster is not working (Maybe loose wire). Mileage on the odometer is 584.00 miles but accurate mileage is probably around 9,000 miles. There is a discrepancy on the title about the mileage not being accurate since the cluster isn't working. I have a clean NJ title for it but it is a "reconstructed vehicle" which means its road legal but was in an accident or was modified many years ago. Again this bike is road legally and fully functional to ride. It has been garaged kept with new brakes just installed. For sale is my 1985 Honda Sabre V65, also known as the VF1100S. The bike features a 1098cc V4 engine, 6 speed transmission, and shaft drive. Inspected until 09/17. Mileage is estimated at around 20,000. New Pirelli Sport Demon tires installed in 2015 with roughly 1000 miles on them since them. Also replaced since I got the bike in 2015 is the fork seals, brakes, battery, and fork brace (replaced with billet aluminum brace as the Sabre is known to snap the stock one). I have the Haynes manual, along with  Maier GP Sport Fairing I haven’t installed yet, a complete extra engine (untested), as well as some myriad small parts. Bike runs great, shifts well, stops, and goes as it should. Pretty clean for its age, a few dents and scrapes and a bit of rust, but nothing severe. I’m only really looking to sell to buy a smaller, lighter bike. Would also be willing to trade for a smaller bike, around 600-700cc and 400lb dry weight, such as a Honda CBR600, Suzuki SV650, Kawasaki Ninja 650R. Up for sale is a pair of 1984 Honda V65 Sabre's. These are 1100cc V-4 bikes with the V65 engine. The Honda designation is VF1100S. Asking $11,750 for the pair. These bikes are in amazing mechanical condition. They have clear Arizona titles and all the details are in order as you would expect. They have original Honda keys, 2 for each bike and the lock-sets match for gas cap and helmet holder. Each bike has an owner's manual in the side cover where it belongs. Besides what you see, they start immediately, run super strong, shift smooth, and have amazing power. Throttle response is great. I believe that has a lot do with fact the valve seals are new and the carburetors are balanced perfectly. Everything works, no exceptions. All the lights, self-cancelling directional signals, clocks, displays, and instruments work as new. All the hardware is correct and these bikes are completely stock. I've have had them almost 4 years. I believe I am the 3rd owners of both bikes. Each bike has a different history. You can identify them by the slight difference in mileage and the fact one has the California emissions canister under the radiator up front. The pictures show the instrument clusters with the mileage so you can tell them apart. California bike - 9,868 miles Original condition - always stored inside and has never been apart. This bike has just had exceptional maintenance and care. The story I got when I bought it from the second owner is that it was owned by a Navy officer who rode it rarely while on leave. I don't know if that story is 100% true but the bike is the best original V65 Sabre I have seen. The handlebar controls, engine finish, and plastics are outstanding. Since I have owed it I have replaced the fork seals, cam cover gaskets, all hydraulic parts and fluid, had the carburetors cleaned and balanced, cooling system flushed, new brakes, and I guess just about every other wear item. I can't think of anything else it would need. Non-California bike - 10,932 miles Restored condition - this bike was restored by a friend of mine in Phoenix who is a V65 expert. It was a low mile Arizona bike that he had in storage for many years. He had a lot of parts and decided to rebuild the bike. It was stripped to the frame and every part restored. The frame, center stand, side stand, final drive, handlebars and some other parts were powder coated. It has a ton of new and NOS parts. I have a box with all the Honda parts packages used for the restore. The gas tank, side covers, and rear faring were NOS. There is a little over $2,000 in those body parts alone. It is like a new motorcycle. I've ridden it less than 1,000 miles since it was finished. To this day, if you can find one in good condition, the Sabre is a great ride, even after 30 years, but finding one in good condition is the trick. 1984 HondaV65 Sabre After 30 years, the Honda VF1100S is no longer near the top of the horsepower heap, but it does what it does well enough to remain an imposing machine for day trips or touring or just knocking around Wisconsin's beautiful back roads. Back in the early half of the 1980s, the 1100 cc powerhouse used in the V65 Sabre models was the top of the Honda V-Four line. With four valves per cylinder, double overhead cams, liquid-cooling, four carbs and six speeds with shaft final drive, the V65 powerplant and powertrain was one of the most impressive performance packages Honda had ever put on the market. With the engine producing a claimed 121 horsepower, the calculated top speed at the 10,000 rpm redline in sixth gear is enough to make even experienced riders weak in the knees: 177 mph! Heck, the Sabre can break the 55 mph speed limit in first gear! The claimed numbers appear to be backed up by actual period road test data: Cycle magazine's staff achieved 0-60 mph in 3.04 seconds, a standing start quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds with a terminal speed of 121.69 mph. Despite those imposing performance numbers, the Sabre is predictable, well-mannered and easy to ride.
