What a cool bike with a great story. This bike was one of 10 owned by a carnival. They bought them new, did some modifications, and made them into a merry-go-round. Imagine how many kids had there picture on this.... The bikes were converted into 2 seaters, with a T-bar in between. They were mounted side by side on the merry go round, with wooden runners between them. The last 5 pics show what im talking about. The previous owner bought 8 of the bikes, and this one was the only bike he could save... and a great job he did. The carnival never put gas in them, and never started the motors. They removed the wiring, brakes, chain, disabled the steering and front suspension, and made the gas cap un-removable. This is the only bike that still had the dipstick still in it, as the rest had filled with water over the years. Alot of time, and some original parts were put on, and now its back on the trail. The engine sounds amazing, runs like a sewing machine, and is very quite. Starts on the 1st kick, and idles by its self. You can actually start this bike with you hand if you wanted too, so easy. Headlight works, handlebars still fold down, new tires and tubes, new brake pads front and rear, and I was told it still has the original spark plug in it. If you wanted to add a tail light, the wires are right there, ready to plug in. This bike isnt cosmetically perfect, but it is mechanically sound and rust free. It runs like new, and is ready to ride. Its got a great look, great history and story, and always makes me smile everytime I see it in the garage. Honda Mini Trail Z50 Production date of December 1969 Not restored. Original blue/silver paint. Chrome has some pitting. Some touch up marks on paint , scratches , etc. as shown in photos. Stored in a basement for many years. Original condition, not perfect , but nice for the age. This bike runs excellent , all gears , clutch , and lights work properly. Honda Z50A Mini Trail Bike. From a VIN decoder this is a 1973 model. My father bought this used in 1978 for me and we have kept it in storage. Runs Great and Starts Great. Just rode it around the yard for about 10 minutes. Any serious buyers or questions can contact me through ebay or at 336-977-2599. The seat was reupholstered many years ago in Red vinyl. Mini Bike has NO TITLE. Also has NO Odometer. Had to put in a number for ebay to accept as motorcycle. Gas tank was repaired years ago with JB Weld. It never leaked again but you can see in pictures where it was patched. Still has original tires and yes they hold air. With Vin decoder it looks like it is a 1973 K4 model. CASH only on pickup. For sale is this amazing original 1971 Honda Z50 minitrail. Manufactured 12/70, it was purchased by George Deeb in the summer of 1971. George owned and cared for this z50 for over 40 years, and it has never been offered for public sale. The only parts on the bike that are not original are the tires which are new, the kickstand spring, and the throttle cable which was changed many years back. It starts in a kick or two, runs and rides as good as it looks and doesn't burn or leak a drop of anything. The lights and switches all work as they should. The seat and the gas tank really tell the story of this special little bike. The gas tank is beautiful inside and out with a few small chips and one small dent on the top towards the front, and the inside is like brand new. I cannot find an imperfection in the seat and it still has its original tool kit safely strapped beneath. The only real 'defect' which i just noticed today was a crack in the headlight glass. You can find restored/refurbished z50s everywhere but remember, they are only original once. Included in the sale is the bike as pictured, 3 keys, tool kit, and clear transferable title.
