Up for sale is my 2007 Ninja 250R. I am the second owner of this bike (bought it from a friend a little over a year ago; has been garaged its entire life) and have loved having it ever since. However, I just acquired a Miata, and the bike is in need of a new owner. With that being said, this bike has been meticulously maintained. I've owned it for about 3000 miles, and since then the following work has been done: -Carbs cleaned and synced by Manassas Honda/Kawasaki/Suzuki -Fuel petcock rebuilt -New OEM Dunlop Tires -EBC HH Sintered Front Brake Pads / Galfer Semi-Metallic Rear -Venhill Engineering Stainless Steel Brake Lines in 'Kawasaki Green' (Front & Rear). -Uni-Trak Six Point Adjustable Rear Shock from the newest generation Ninja 250. -All fluids (oil, coolant, brake) and filters (air & oil; both OEM Kawasaki parts) changed. -New NGK Spark Plugs. -FIAMM "Freeway Blaster" horn (much louder/safer than OEM). The "bad" -The wire for the oil pressure light is loose. You simply have to wiggle it from time to time for it to re-illuminate. -Minor scratches on the left side on the lower cowling and engine cover (barely noticeable; photo included). -Small (~1 inch) crack on windshield. Not in your line of sight. -Very small (dime size) dent in the left muffler, and another on the right (visible in image). -The shift lever is slightly bent in. Very minor; I never notice it when riding, only when looking at it (photo included). -Oil strainer needs a new gasket, never really bothered me much. Will take < 20 minutes to fix and cost < 20 dollars. Or I'll tack on 50 bucks to the price and I'll do it before you buy it (Labor ain't cheap these days, you know? The lesson here is to learn how to fix it yourself.) That's about it. I'm flexible on the price if I think you're going to take care of this thing, and I'm being completely transparent on it's pros and cons. However, if you pay full price I'll throw in my spare Shoei RF-900 helmet (black; size small). Sure, it's got that boxy 80's styling and is kind of slow and wet, but with the minor upgrades, low weight/center of gravity, and 13,000 RPM redline, it's a blast to ride and hone your skills with, and I get compliments on how great of condition it's in everywhere I go. Note: item is for pick up only. Thanks for looking!

Up for sale is my Ninjette, a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250 with just under 10,000 miles. The miles will slowly increase - I'll probably ride it a few times more before I sell it. 2007 was the last year of the "pregen" body style, so many of the kinks were worked out. It starts, runs, and rides very well. Its liquid-cooled engine has no fuel, coolant, or oil leaks. It's been very well taken care of. Summer service has been performed very recently - it's ready to go for the season. Pirelli Sport Demon tires are in great shape and provide tons of grip. The seat is brand new - the cover was cracked so I replaced it brand new black marine-grade Naugahyde.Don't let the engine size fool you - this isn't your dad's 250. It will surprise you. It's a high-revving, spunky engine on a very light, nimble bike. It is the perfect beginner bike. Even if you're not a beginner (I am not), you'll enjoy this bike's spectacular handling and quick reaction to input. I've taken it to the MSF Advanced RiderCourse, and it literally runs circles around those guys who think they're all that on their massive cruisers that can't turn. The Ninja 250 quickly earns respect when you leave people in the dust in a sweeping turn. :) It's without a doubt one of the best-handling bikes on the market. The riding position for this bike is surprisingly friendly for riders of most sizes - it's very upright for a sport bike. I'm a pretty big dude, and I can ride it long distances relatively comfortably. It even rides very well with two riders. And it's amazing to get better mileage than a Prius, having WAY more fun doing so. I can easily get over 60 miles per gallon on the highway with the tall sixth gear. Also it's super cheap to insure. There's nothing mechanically wrong with it. There's a few minor scrapes (the previous owner dropped it at <5 mph and it barely shows). Over on the other side, there's a crack in the lower fairing because I was an idiot and missed a screw when I was removing it a year or two back. Those issues are purely cosmetic and really only visible if you're looking for them. No dents or scratches on the gas tank. All imperfections are barely noticeable - and they're all shown in the pictures. This is a fantastic looking bike.If you're looking to get into riding, or just want a great-handling, fuel-efficient, fun and sporty bike, this Ninja is for you. Title is in my name and in-hand, clear with no liens. I'm looking for $2100 or best offer.

HOST OF CHANGES IMPROVE ENGINE & CHASSIS PERFORMANCE. Kawasaki’s all-new four-stroke KX™250F rose to the top to become one of last year’s best motocross motorcycles. For 2007, Kawasaki improves the championship winning KX250F with a host of engine and chassis modifications designed to extend its performance advantage. Refinements to Kawasaki’s highly acclaimed KX250F make it an even more potent track weapon. The newest KX250F keeps the outstanding top-end power from last year’s motorcycle, but adds a stronger pull from the bottom of its rev range. The upgraded engine is complimented by a strengthened five-speed transmission and a revised chassis featuring increased longitudinal rigidity for lighter, quicker steering. The new KX250F will be available in Kawasaki lime green with new colored wheel hubs, and aggressive race team graphics. Optional parts for the KX250F include magneto rotors with different inertias, a 12-tooth countershaft sprocket, top mounting clamp for an oversized handlebar, aluminum and steel rear sprockets, solid petal brake rotors for wet races, different springs for the front fork and rear shock, manual decompression lever and cable, and a 20-inch front wheel. Those who race their KX250F at designated events are eligible to receive support from Team Green™, Kawasaki’s amateur racing support program. Each year, Team Green provides regional support vehicles and highly trained technicians at more than 100 events, offering technical information and assistance to those who race Kawasaki products. Kawasaki also offers a comprehensive contingency program for amateur and professional riders who place well at designated events.
