For example, it was refurbished for a more custom feel, thanks to a specially contoured solo saddle, a new chrome package and a lively Candy Cardinal Red paint scheme. So, for 2002, the “little brother” to the Vulcan™ 1500 Drifter™ model returns with all the style of its bigger sibling but in a more lightweight and affordable package. At first glance, the Vulcan 800 Drifter’s styling sets it apart from the competition. The sculpted fenders covering much of the spoked wheels and the single fishtail muffler jutting out the back immediately catch the eye. The generous use of chrome on the engine covers, bullet-shaped headlight shell, fork and shock covers, handlebar and clamp, rear fender rail, and license-plate bracket enhance the “custom” look.

This auction is for a beautiful 2001 Kawasaki Drifter 1500 in VERY stock trim. The only modifications I know of on this bike are the Vance and Hines exhaust and white wall tires. This bike runs, rides, sounds and looks wonderful and gets tons of looks everywhere it goes. It is getting hard to find these Drifters that haven’t been modified to look more Indian-ish – it has a few scratches on the top of the front fender (been there since before I owned the bike) but other than that all the factory paint is in wonderful shape. The exhaust I bought used and they are blued a little here and there but they sound Fantastic!! – I also have the complete original exhaust in excellent condition that will come with the bike (if you prefer your bike to be VERY quiet). Tires are sweet Metzeler white-walls with less than 1000 miles on them. The battery was replaced at the end of the summer last year (the original was getting a little weak). What else can I say – It is an awesome, beautiful and reliable motorcycle (that is sure to go up in value with time considering how few were made and how few are left unmolested) and I would keep it but I am in a band and I play music so much that it just doesn’t get used and I’m not rich enough to justify pretty things that sit around and not get used. As a bonus I am including a solo seat, Oil Filter, Oil (it’s not due till 200 more miles) and a factory service manual. As with any used vehicle I sell – This is an AS-IS auction no warranties. This Item is for local pickup only - So It needs to be picked up at my premises and I will help in any way I can to load or go with you to do paperwork and get a temp tag for you to ride it home etc.. - - ANY SHIPPING WILL BE 100% responsibility of the buyer AFTER the bike leaves my premises. Please feel free to ask me questions I will answer as best I can. I highly suggest you come and look at the bike and inspect it if you are interested - PRIOR to auction end - once you have won the auction the bike is yours and payment is expected. The bike is sold AS-IS, Where - IS. I do not accept Pay-Pal for vehicle transactions the buyer will pay me before the motorcycle leaves my premises. This Motorcycle is for sale locally and the auction will end if sold local. I will provide a” Buy it Now” price so please don’t bother sending me lowball offers. I have clean clear Pa title in my name. If you live in Pa - The bike has a brand new Pa inspection sticker good till July 2015!! Thanks for looking at my auction!!

This V-twin cruiser is dressed in timeless style right off the showroom floor. And for 2006, the Vulcan 1500 Classic celebrates it's10th anniversary with a special two-tone color combination and commemorative emblems. A large part of its popularity is due to Kawasaki's Fire & Steel™ accessories, which give those with a penchant for customization, all of the tools needed to make the Vulcan 1500 Classic a truly unique ride. Beginning with its single pin, 50 degree V-twin engine, the 1500 Classic produces incredible low-rpm torque that's perfect for city streets or open highways. This fuel-injected, liquid cooled, SOHC design displaces 90 cubic inches and shines with elegantly sculpted cylinders and polished cooling fins, while the large radiator is tucked from view between the frame downtubes. Both of the big V-twin's cylinders have four valves actuated by a single overhead cam (SOHC). Hydraulic valve lash adjusters automatically maintain valve clearance for smooth engine performance, reduced noise and low maintenance while automatic cam chain tensioners keep cam timing accurate. The Vulcan 1500 Classic's five-speed transmission takes advantage of the engine's generous torque by utilizing precisely spaced gears to provide smooth, quiet shifting for seamless acceleration. The top gear provides a relaxed engine speed on the highway. The hydraulically actuated clutch provides progressive torque absorption to help ensure smooth and precise power delivery to a reliable, quiet shaft drive that requires minimal maintenance. A gear-driven engine counter balancer and rubber engine mounts reduce handlebar and floorboard vibration. The engine produces a distinct V-twin rumble and more than 85 foot-pounds of torque at 3,000 rpm. A crack of the throttle punches out smooth acceleration while a large alternator provides enough output to power electrical accessories. The classic cruiser look is long and low, which is exactly how the Vulcan 1500 Classic's chassis is designed. An extra-low 27.6-inch seat height, wide handlebar, forward-mounted floorboards and plush suspension system make the 1500 Classic a comfortable ride. The speedometer, fuel gauge and warning lamps are located in a center console on top of the wide 5.0-gallon fuel tank. A large-diameter, chrome halogen headlight not only illuminates the open road, it gives the Classic a distinctive appearance.
