Hate to do it, but I'm selling my Kawi Drifter. Super clean bike. 2002 1500cc. I'm the second owner. 14,898 miles as of this posting. Bike has been METICULOUSLY maintained. Clean title. Never dropped. Never even saw rain. All service done by Maximum Motorsports in Riverhead. I have all maintenance receipts and original owners manual. Just had the oil changed and inspection completed. Nothing left to do but ride it. All set for the spring, summer and fall. Roadhouse fishtail pipes. Comes with a two-up seat ( as well as seat shown here - both Corbin ) Lizard lights that light up the engine and all the other accessories pictured. I have not used any of these adds on nor did I personally remove them. They came with the bike when I bought it. I have no idea how to put all this stuff on or how well it fits. I bought the bike and the guy said here "this all goes with it". Theses bikes are rare and this one is a beauty. Email me if you'd like to see a walk around video. Ebay won't let me post a direct link. Couple of small dings in the clear coat. One small scuff. Nothing crazy. See pictures for details. Does not detract from bike at all. A real head turner. Get compliments everywhere I go. Ok, now since this is Ebay, here's the part where I have to be a jerk...I apologize in advance for this, but if you've ever tried to sell something like this on Ebay, you know it's necessary. Anyway, here we go... The price is $5000. Yes, there is some wiggle room, but nothing silly. That's $5000, Five Large, 5K or any other way you personally describe five thousand AMERICAN dollars. No checks. No credit cards. No pesos. No euros. No Russian rubles. No shekels, no beads, no seashells no IOU's, no hugs and absolutely no trades. Seriously...no trades. I can't stress this enough. No. Trades. I don't want a boat, a late model mid size sedan, a membership to a local golf course or your dad's vintage collection of old Hustler magazines. I don't care what they are worth. Don't even ask. I'm not in any hurry to sell her so I won't even entertain low ball offers. No scams. None of this "I'll send you a check if you ship the bike to Texas" nonsense. I've heard them all before. And sorry, but no test rides. I'm sure you can figure that one out. Also, and again, I must point out that I hate to be a jerk..BUT...you know what they say about opinions and a$$holes...so let's just say you're the type of person who has nothing better do to than send out a$$hole emails...you just go ahead and keep it to yourself...ok sunshine...thanks....and yea, you know who you are. Local pick up or buyer is responsible for all crating/shipping. If you know anything about the Drifters, than you know they are amazing bikes and very rare. Here's a chance to own something that (God forbid) is not a Harley. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks

It was first released in the US in 2000 as a limited edition. The last year of production for the 800cc Drifter model was 2006. To my knowledge Kawasaki has never released actual production numbers. However based on the VIN number series, it is speculated that ONLY 1,500 Drifters were produced and distributed world wide for each year of production. If this speculation is true during the 7 years they were produced, there were only 10,500, of these motorcycles ever built and distributed around the world. Not all were shipped to the US. OK....This is what you all been waiting for....a great deal on a 99 Drifter 1500 that is all Factory. I bought this a few months back to customize, then came across another one with very low miles and picked it up. Can't afford 2 Drifters, so need to find this one a good home I feel it is priced to sell fast, especially with the option to make a reasonable offer. I did ride this for 132 miles and she runs nice and smooth, plenty of power, cruises great on the freeway, shifting is super smooth. I did change the oil & filter when I got it. No leaks of any kind. Does not smoke. It does take a while to warm up and stay at an idle. I feel it definitly needs new spark plugs. Air fliter is fairly new looking. Coolant is good. The previous owner did install a toggle switch to turn on the cooling fan (which I can't seem to get to work) which was working when I got it. All that owner had to do was buy a Radiator Fan Switch and put it into the bottom of the radiator......very simple fix and the part is about $40. The previous own did mess around with the wiring to the kickstand which cuts the motor when you his 1st gear with kickstand down. He did install some LED lights to light up the motor area and installed the switch on the bottom side of right side cover. The brake lever on bar is slightly bent. Clutch lever needs to be lubed and adjusted. I do feel the brake and clutch reservoir and lines need to be flushed and replaced with new fluid.....NO seal leaks in forks or shocks, so that is good. The tank is all in good shape with no dents. But there are a couple splots on it....looks like someone spilled something on it. On the right front side looks like someone did a terrible job at douning a touch up paint job......see picture. They chose the wrong color an looks like they used a Brush that artists use to paint with. Fenders have their fair share of road debris scratches and dull blemishes that I have no idea how they might have been caused. Rear fender at top, under seat, there are a few small gouges. All lights work and it will pass inspection. Tires will get you by this year, but I would get new ones for next year. Wheels and chrome in good shape. Some chrome could use a little 0000 polishing steel wool to clean up better. Now I have seen the prices of 1999 Drifters on ebay, cycle trader, craigslist and other places and seems like they are all sooo over priced. Yes, this one does need some work...possibly a paint job....it all depends on how far you want to go. But if Money is a factor, then this is the Drifter you want to buy and start with. 17,103 miles is not many miles for a Drifter that is 16 years old. Feel free to ask as many questions as you want. You can come be and see it if you want, but its presently not insured or tagged, so no rides. I will work with you and any shipping company if you choose to go that route. I am Motivated to make a quick sale on this Drifter.

I am the 2nd owner & have not bothered to get Insurance and Tags for it yet. The previous owner Bought it new, lived outside of Houston, TX and took very good care of it, but did not ride it much. He said it was garage kept and that is obvious when looking at this bike. Not even sure if it has been riden in the rain. He did say that he had a scare on it a few years back and he rarely rode after that......just kept starting it up. It does have a brand new Battery and Tires & Tubes are fairly new as well. He said the grandkids came by one day and next day he saw that all 4 turn signals were broke, but still working. I noticed the rubber on all 4 signals had dried up and cracked real bad and would need replacing anyhow. The Fuel gauge is not working.....I checked the connector and not sure if it has its own fuse or not. Might be a loose or bad connection somewhere or possibly a sensor, but its hard to tell with only 2,434 miles on her. I can tell that all the fluids need to be changed, bled, flushed. Runs and sounds nice and quiet. Here's the Deal. I just spent 3 days in a truck rental, traveled 2,300 miles to get this Beauty. It is my 5th Drifter 1500. 1st one was a 2000 and last 4 were 1999's. I customized 2 of them to the max and was rear-ended on one of them. My plans are to customize a 1999/2000 Drifter 1500 Tribute Drifter for Our POW-MIA and this was to be the one I do it with. And that means new paint, powder coating, drilling holes in all this perfect plastic and doing all kinds of wild stuff. Now I know there's a whole lot of you who Love and Admire these all Factory Drifters, especially the Blacked out 99 & 00 models. They are not as easy to find unmolested and with low miles. 2,434 Miles is very Rare. I love the Drifters and have Hosted 2 National Drifter Rally's in 2009 and 2014. So here's what I will do. I am putting this on eBay for 1 week only to give someone a chance to Own this Beauty with extremely LOW MILES. I know you can buy the turn signals right here on eBay for around $120 w/free shipping. I am accepting Offers...please don't insult me with lowball offers. I will even consider a low mile 99-00 Drifter 1500 with lots of accessories.....NO Rusted Junk. If this 2,434 mile Drifter 1500 does not sell, then I will go ahead and Molest this Beauty. If you want to have it shipped, I will work closely with any shipping company you choose. Clear payment must be made before I will ship it out. I can have my signature notarized on the title after clear payment has been made. Any questions...just ask. Need more photo's, just ask. Want to see in person, just ask. Need to talk....(828) 683-8792 Let's Make a Deal!!!

This auction is for a beautiful 2001 Kawasaki Drifter 1500 in VERY stock trim. The only modifications I know of on this bike are the Vance and Hines exhaust and white wall tires. This bike runs, rides, sounds and looks wonderful and gets tons of looks everywhere it goes. It is getting hard to find these Drifters that haven’t been modified to look more Indian-ish – it has a few scratches on the top of the front fender (been there since before I owned the bike) but other than that all the factory paint is in wonderful shape. The exhaust I bought used and they are blued a little here and there but they sound Fantastic!! – I also have the complete original exhaust in excellent condition that will come with the bike (if you prefer your bike to be VERY quiet). Tires are sweet Metzeler white-walls with less than 1000 miles on them. The battery was replaced at the end of the summer last year (the original was getting a little weak). What else can I say – It is an awesome, beautiful and reliable motorcycle (that is sure to go up in value with time considering how few were made and how few are left unmolested) and I would keep it but I am in a band and I play music so much that it just doesn’t get used and I’m not rich enough to justify pretty things that sit around and not get used. As a bonus I am including a solo seat, Oil Filter, Oil (it’s not due till 200 more miles) and a factory service manual. As with any used vehicle I sell – This is an AS-IS auction no warranties. This Item is for local pickup only - So It needs to be picked up at my premises and I will help in any way I can to load or go with you to do paperwork and get a temp tag for you to ride it home etc.. - - ANY SHIPPING WILL BE 100% responsibility of the buyer AFTER the bike leaves my premises. Please feel free to ask me questions I will answer as best I can. I highly suggest you come and look at the bike and inspect it if you are interested - PRIOR to auction end - once you have won the auction the bike is yours and payment is expected. The bike is sold AS-IS, Where - IS. I do not accept Pay-Pal for vehicle transactions the buyer will pay me before the motorcycle leaves my premises. This Motorcycle is for sale locally and the auction will end if sold local. I will provide a” Buy it Now” price so please don’t bother sending me lowball offers. I have clean clear Pa title in my name. If you live in Pa - The bike has a brand new Pa inspection sticker good till July 2015!! Thanks for looking at my auction!!
