trying to restore.rebuilt top end end runs good,after a few minutes it smokes from cylinder #2 i think it is a valve seal,or guide.i tore it down to pistons,honed cylinders and replaced std.rings,replaced new timing chain,replaced two rollers that were worn.bought 34mm carbs then rebuilt with new floats.i installed dyna s ignition with new coils and spark plug connectors.replaced advance assembly.sounds real good.installed new front mastercylinder new brake pads,have rear chrome caiper with new pads.recovered seat relpaced front and rear tires.new high torque battery.installed new windshield,i like it.has higher style handle bars.im sure i missed something i put a lot of effort into it for over a year now im ready to let someone else have it.i have new speedometer cable new tach cable 3 oil filters a new key blank not cut.new breathers also.please take it off my hands.i would consider a trade if it dont sell.i dont know the policy.i will deliver this if not too far from augusta georgia.have to discuss fee

Beautiful 1978 KZ1000A Started this project some time ago and have run into health issues. Won't be able to complete it so want to let it go as is. 1978 KZ1000A. I do have the title for the bike. It is an out of state title and has never been transferred here in Texas. I had the bike all together and discovered via leak-down test that one of the oil scraper rings had bent over on installation so I took the head, cylinder and pistons off. Won't have the time or capability for the foreseeable future to finish. Have partsto put the top end back on. Coils and horn are missingHere is what has been done: powder coat frame with new steering stem, swing arm bearingspowder coat wheels with new wheel bearings (wheels off an LTD model)powder coat calipers and rebuilt with stainless brake lines and padsnew front and rear master cylindernew 630 o-ring chain and sprocketsnew turn signalsnew regulator/rectifier and modern blade-type fuse box.coils re-powered using a relay for full voltagefront and rear fenders powder coatednew metallic blue paint on tank, side covers and tail pieceengine powder coatedall new cam chain bits and chainnew engine sealscylinder head gone through; all cleaned, valves/seats lapped and new valve stem oil sealsalmost all fasteners through bike and engine stainless steel battery new and has been on float charger for awhilewiring harness gone through and electrical components workingnew headlight shell and bulbnew mirrorsnew grips handlebars powder coated I am probably forgetting other things. Seat is in great condition. Tires will pass inspection but are not new.
