For your consideration is this 1982 Kawasaki Kz1300. 6cyl. Clear Ohio title in my name. 43k miles. This bike runs and rides but could use maintenance. Like many later KZ1300's this has the Full dresser dealer add on Kawasaki Vetter fairing set. It can easily be removed and headlight ears with headlight(not provided) installed for a stock look. This is a running riding project of sorts. I recently drove on 40 miles trip and bike ran very well. Shifts great with plenty of power and rode fine at highway speeds. Very smooth. No smoke vibration or unusal sounds. The motorcycle has sat for 5 years or so being started periodically. All of the fluids should be replaced. Sometimes it idles a little high. It always starts but idle is slightly erratic from sitting. Might work itself out after being driven with fresh gas but may not. Needs an oil change and could benefit from a valve adjustment. Leaves a small quarter size oil spot of unknown origin after sitting for one week. The front brakes are mushy but work. The rear brake does not function at all. Unsure of problem. The tires look good with over 75% tread remaining. All of the lights and turn signals function Including the fairing lights. All of the gauges function as intended. The bike has never been layed down or abused. Appears all stock with original exhaust and airbox. Airbox appears to maybe have a different seal and does NOT have the toolbox top.The bike looks good. Needs detailed and has been sitting indoors. Some light rust on bars and exhaust. Some small stains on pipes but no rust holes. Bike is very presentable from 10 feet. The paint is all original. No large dents or damage. Some small dents on front fender and some chips to pinstripes. Gas tank looks nice. Has been lined at some point. No leaks. The seat appears to be a earlier 1979 seat that is very desirable. However does have one small tear/repair as seen. Chrome engine covers have some peeling on chrome but presentable for driver quality. This is a running riding project that is escalating a value as it is a unique 6cyl motorcycle.
