Powering the Explorer 1200 is powered by a 1,215cc three cylinder engine, providing gobs of low end torque as well as high revving horse power to take you from the base of a valley to the tip of a mountain, and on the way back home, to provide yourself with a little highway fun. Two different variants of the Explorer exist: the Explorer 1200 ABS model and the Explorer XC, both powered by the 1,215cc triple. Both come with adjustable front forks and rear shock, allowing you the opportunity to adjust to any terrain. The standard Explorer comes with a personality of eating highway miles as well as finding a small amount of home after the pavement stops. 2011 Triumph Tiger 800, Time to try something different so Ive decided to sell my Tiger, might regret it but Im not getting any younger (70 years old) and dont know how much riding time I might have left. 2011 Triumph Tiger 800 roadie for sale or trade. Wouldnt mind trading for a 2011 Kawasaki Ninja 1000. Or $6500 starting price for the Tiger. Miles-44000+ will keep going up as I dont plan on not riding. Have all maintenance records, all the major service was done at Douglas Triumph in San Bernardino. Farkles that come with the Tiger Givi quick release side bag mounts Kapa 21 liter top load side bags Givi top case with stop light kit installed, gotta give the cagers something to aim at Almost new Bridgestone T30 front and rear tires Chain and sprockets changed out at 27K Just replaced the front brake pads Has my own design throttle lock Triumph hand guards, good for wind protection Adjustable hand levers, the Chinese imports but mine have never faded Rox 2 handle bar risers Madstad 20 wind screen Triumph engine guards Triumph center stand Helmet lock so you can hang your helmet on the bike for someone to pee in, might be why my helmet smells funny. Leo Vince slip on muffler with the baffle still in Factory maintenance manual Have the locks for the factory luggage if you ever want to get those Forks have 400ml of 7wt oil and this has worked quite well. Currently running Amsoil 20-50 oil but dont recommend it for temps under 40f as the Tiger has trouble starting with this thick of oil. Would recommend sticking with 10-40 in winter and 10-50 in the summer. Okay the bad, I managed to drop the Tiger at 5 miles an hour doing some light off road, see video at Also managed to do something I havent done in 30 years, forgot to put the side stand down and dropped it, only fell a short distance against my kids non running Trooper and so no damage and then to add insult to injury when I got home I thought the side stand was down and it wasnt so down we went again in slow motion, no damage except for a little scrape mark on the engine guards. Sometimes getting old SUCKS. Oil and filter always changed every 3-5K and I even washed it the other day. Only problems I ever had was with the idle dodad that would sometimes cause the engine to die at start up, as long as it is cleaned and lubed then no problem, you can look this up in the Tiger thread. I also had the pin that controls the spring back on the shift lever break, fixed it with a 10-32 flat head screw and it will never break again. As everybody always says I wouldnt hesitate to drive it cross country, if you buy it let me know if you do it and send pictures. The Engine runs great using E85 fuel (101 octane) and NEVER overheats, runs very cool due to the spark detonation using E85. Todays temp was 100 deg. and in heavy traffic the temp gauge sat at half way. The bike comes with a CD with different maps, so if you want to tune it on pump gas, or race fuel it can be done with ease. Oil changed every 800 miles, with full AmsOil syn. Bike dynos at 320HP @ 10 lbs of boost and 370HP @ 14 lbs of boost. The bike has been clocked at 215.6 MPH. Even with the extended swing arm, the front end will still come up on you. The bike is very easy to ride around the street, and the turbo won't spool up until you give it full throttle i.e. 5000 RPM. The bike is fully inspectable and carry’s a VA state inspection. Just to visualize, I raced a 2013 twin turbo 1000HP Camaro SS gave him 8 car lengths, and I still won. In fourth gear, if you mash the throttle, the tire will break traction- This bike is like strapping yourself on a missile.....extremely *** FAST!! I'm probably forgetting many of the small upgrades but take a close look at the pics. Total value of the bike is 20k plus. Lets do the math, buying a brand new 2014 Hayabusa or ZX14R will cost you 13k including tax which will run around 9.8 in the quarter. This ZX14 is less than that (starting price $13,500) and you will crush any stock Busa, ZX14R, BMW 1000s, even nitrous bikes and you will definitely be one of if not the fastest in your town including most NOS bikes because they are so hard to handle down the track. This ZX14 is also capable of beating 1000 - 1200hp cars on a highway roll (done it).??NO TEST RIDES UNLESS I HAVE CASH IN HAND! However, I am happy to demo the bike for serious buyers. Please feel free to come and inspect the bike prior to the sale. I have a good friend that I have used in the past to ship bikes. Prices range from $450-700 depending on your location.
