For sale are (2) Kawasaki ZL900 Eliminators... One is a fully running project (bobber) bike and one is an almost complete parts bike... The main (project) bike is in great shape for it's age. . . It has approx. 11K miles on the clock (which I believe was correct). . . It has been modified with a removable hard tail for the rear end (still shaft drive), a custom fabricated one piece rear fender with a sort of bobber style sprung seat (which works well). . . The engine runs good (needs tuning). . . It still has the original tires on it! . . . This bike is 30 years old and has spent most of it's life stored so the forks etc. will need rebuilding (I was going to put a Yamaha R1 front end on it) but everything seems to work. . . It needs finishing but (if you know about them) these bikes used to eat the sport bikes of the day for breakfast and it will make a very cool and great sounding unique bike... The parts bike is almost complete with approx. 46K miles and it includes carbs (not shown) and seats etc. . .. This bike was not parted out from an accident and I was told it was running when it was originally stored. . . Lots of good parts on this bike. . . I don't have time to finish this bike(s) so I'm offering them both for sale. . . I have the Pink slips for both bikes but they have not been registered for many many years and should be well out of the DMV system. . . I might consider trading them for a good reliable pick-up truck (age doesn't matter if it's clean, reliable and original), otherwise the price is firm as I'm in no real hurry to sell and these are just going up in value now. . . Purchased this bike at an auction without a title and non running (since obtained bonded title and got it running). My intention was to simply part it out. Unfortunately for me, I decided to see if I could get it running. I rebuilt and adjusted the carbs, bought a new battery (that is not to be considered as included in this auction) and fired it up. Of course, after that, I hated to part it out. So, I cleaned and recoated the inside ofd the gas tank and bought a new filter. Drove it for a minute and had a flat tire on the front and parked it. That has been about a year ago. (I really should have just parted it out as I don't have time for it and already have two other motorcycles we ride, as well as a couple of boats I have to keep up, etc., etc.). Tried to insert youtube link to video of the bike running but ebay would not allow it. Go to YouTube and search for youtube channel hfgslb and ZL1000 First Run. It is pretty much complete, missing a few small pieces, I believe. The side covers are around but the push tabs need to be repaired. Ebay made me include information I did not desire to and could not alter. The title is clear but is bonded. In MS the bonded mark will remain on the title for 3 years. This simply means that I had to have a bond to get a title so as to protect the interest in the motorcycle of the person I may sell it to and anyone who may one day show up saying they are the legal owners. . . It hasn't been cranked in a year, again, so it may be a challenge to get it cranked if you desire to see it run in person. Anyway, sold as is and for parts or repair with local pick up only. Thanks,
