Purchased this bike at an auction without a title and non running (since obtained bonded title and got it running). My intention was to simply part it out. Unfortunately for me, I decided to see if I could get it running. I rebuilt and adjusted the carbs, bought a new battery (that is not to be considered as included in this auction) and fired it up. Of course, after that, I hated to part it out. So, I cleaned and recoated the inside ofd the gas tank and bought a new filter. Drove it for a minute and had a flat tire on the front and parked it. That has been about a year ago. (I really should have just parted it out as I don't have time for it and already have two other motorcycles we ride, as well as a couple of boats I have to keep up, etc., etc.). Tried to insert youtube link to video of the bike running but ebay would not allow it. Go to YouTube and search for youtube channel hfgslb and ZL1000 First Run. It is pretty much complete, missing a few small pieces, I believe. The side covers are around but the push tabs need to be repaired. Ebay made me include information I did not desire to and could not alter. The title is clear but is bonded. In MS the bonded mark will remain on the title for 3 years. This simply means that I had to have a bond to get a title so as to protect the interest in the motorcycle of the person I may sell it to and anyone who may one day show up saying they are the legal owners. . . It hasn't been cranked in a year, again, so it may be a challenge to get it cranked if you desire to see it run in person. Anyway, sold as is and for parts or repair with local pick up only. Thanks,

I am going to start out by saying,I own 14 bikes right now and I can honestly say that each and every vintage bike I own has some issue or quirk(NOT THIS ONE!) This bike starts and runs amazing,and with it's lowered stance and the drag type seat(it handles like a slot car) I also own a 1985 V-Max which is supposedly the fastest bike in 85. This bike feels stronger than the V-Max and I know for a fact it handles a lot better. I am going to be selling the V-max also but it needs the carbs gone thru(as do most of the other bikes I will soon be selling here on ebay) like I said in the beginning most of the bikes have issues,but not my eliminator. She starts up with just a little choke and runs perfect within seconds you can shut the choke all the way down. The lights all work. The brakes work fantastic. The only work i had to do to this bike besides customizing it with lowered shocks/seat/smaller turn signals and a axel mounted license plate so i could get rid of that butt ugly rear fender extension. I installed a manual cam chain adjuster from A.P.E. because I heard the nightmare stories about the auto adjuster screwing up at high RRRRS and the cam chain jumping a tooth and destroying these beasts. My price might be a little more than the other stock eliminators but most of them are the garden variety ZL900s not the 1 year only ZL1000 like mine. I did not keep any of the stock parts(I actually sold them on CL to be able to purchase the stuff I needed to build this sinister looking ride!! Note:there is a tiny little ding on right side of tank on top by fuel cap(to little to show in pics) you can see it if the sun shines across the glossy black paint.

hate to sell it but am in need of some cash, I'm going to be honest, the bike is not perfect. but she runs and has a ton of power, Has a Slight Oil Leak. Only reason I am selling is for a down payment for a newer bike. Recently took it in a trip of 400 miles and had no problems. Bike is just shy of 40k miles. 1000cc the bike has been laid down twice by previous owner. Missing one turn signal (front right_) which can be found online for about 15 bucks. New plugs,just had oil change, custom paint job. this is a rare bike and a fun bike. they only made around 2000 of these from 86-87.
