The SX body conversion (seat, tank & radiator shrouds) makes the bike slim, and along with the TrailTech Endurance LCD computer w/billet aluminum mount, Scott top clamp with attachment for Scott radial steering damper, Cycra hand guards, Answer bars, wide late model pegs, all add to the excellence of this bike. Excel rims with Talon billet aluminum hubs, E-Line carbon fiber skid plate, TM DesignWorks chain guides, and Pro Moto Billet shark fin and side stand round out the fitted details. Engine and exhaust are stock. As third owner since 2005 I have used the bike for long dual sport weekends and single track rides participating in events with the CCC and Great Lakes Dual Sporters. I have maintained the bike well, changing oil every season and having the vales checked every other season. Selling my 2001 ktm dirtbike. It is FAST FAST FAST Stage 1 hotcam and 12:1 compression stock bore wiseco piston. These bikes are 6 speed. It has an oversized gas tank. I like the bike because it makes big power but runs like a stock motor, but I have decided to sell it due to never having time to get it out. Its probably more suited for a larger person. just a larger size chassis and big engine. Im 6'2 and its about right for me. Tires are in pretty good shape, chain and sprockets are good and brakes are new. I have tons of time and money in this bike but there is no point in me keeping it. Rear plastic is a little rough but it doesn't bother me. Currently has a thumb throttle on it which I prefer, but it could easily be swapped back to twist if desired. Here is my 2004 KTM 525 EXC All scheduled maintenance preformed in accordance with the service manual on the required intervals. This bike has been garage kept and cleaned after every ride. It has 5,931 miles and 191.4 hours with a fresh oil and filter change. It is has been fully insured and is street legal with dual registration current through 2015. KTM is known for their bullet proof RFS Engine and trust me it is a beast when you maintain it properly. This is everything you need to ride out in Baja or rip the desert as well as tear up the canyon roads in the Supermoto trim. This bike is a monster when it comes to either dirt or street. I used to ride it in Ocotillo Wells but recently I have converted it to the Supermoto trim. It has never been down on the street but has been ridden in the desert. I had the suspension tuned by Sportsbike Suspension Tuning's Dax Vance and the rear shock rebuilt. I have replaced the water pump seal, gasket, the countershaft sprocket seal, a JD Jet Kit installed, tuned as well as the timing chain and timing chain link by The Enduro Shop. I am the second owner and have a clean title. I would like to sell this bike as a full package with original briefcase, tool kit, all the original parts, manuals and everything you see here included in the price. Selling my 1995 KTM 250 EXC with CLEAN AZ Title in hand. Bike has JUST been gone through from the frame up, 99% complete, however financial circumstances have changed and putting any more money into the bike is not an option at this time. Lets start with what needs to be completed. Bike has good spark and lights illuminate when you kick but will not fire unless you pull start and clearly ignition timing is off or stator is going. Selling as is. You may adjust and find it works fine, or find it truly does need a new ignition and you have options.
