Of all the bikes I've had, this has been by far the easiest and most fun to ride. I bought the bike used from a dealer down near Springfield, MO last summer. The bike has no problems and runs fantastic. With two active teenage boys, I simply don't have enough time to ride. Someone needs to put this bike to better use than I am. I put new Michelin Pilot Power tires on it about 800 miles ago. I also changed the oil and all 3 filters about 600 miles ago. The battery is strong and it is always on a Battery Tender. The bike is in excellent condition in my opinion. It has light wear consistent with its mileage. There is some light scuffing on one of the frame sliders on the left and two on the right (just enough to remove some of the white and raised letters on the pucks.....possibly rubbed against a wall? It's minor but I suppose it could have been set over (purposely or accidently) on a smoother surface such as a garage floor). Regardless, I felt it needed to be disclosed. The bike has approximately 9,150 miles which may go up some as I will continue to ride as the weather permits. The bike has been well cared for and always garaged. If you're in the market for a Ducati Monster, Triumph Speed or Street Triple, Kawasaki Z1000, MV Augusta Brutale, Yamaha FZ-9, Honda CB1000r, etc, you should read the reviews on the Super Dukes before you take the plunge! This KTM 990 SMT was manufactured 04/13 and has been garage kept since new. I'll assume you need no introduction as 99% of those looking already know what this bike is all about. I have been riding bikes since I was 11 years old and this is about the 52nd bike I've purchased. I have owned a little of everything. Now that I'm 51 years old, I've moved up to the finer bikes like Ducati, BMW and KTM. Owned them all before. I bought at KTM 950 SM and fell in love with KTM. Next I bought the 990 SMT and loved the fuel injection and ABS brakes. I think this 2013 is the best most fun bike I have ever owned and the only reason I'm selling it is because I bought the KTM 1290 Super Duke. I'd advise you to get a Super Duke if you want the beast and are willing to pay around $17k. But if you want a very strong torque bike that is a pure pleasure to ride that has bags and wind protection, the 990 SMT is awesome. This bike is being sold in stock form with the original dual exhaust (the exhaust seen in the photo laying on the towel).
