1988 Kawasaki KX250 Dirt bike. Not even broke in yet. I started it rode down the street 1 block and back, then parked it in my garage last week. Have to sell due to health issues.... This Dirtbike was completely disassembled, all paint removed from every part. The frame was repainted with JP1, the sub frame and swingarm are aluminum and have been polished. Each and every nut, bolt, washer, shim, seal, and bearing was inspected, cleaned and if needed replaced. The engine was rebuilt, replacing transmission bearings, main bearings, all seals and gaskets. Replaced clutch with steel plates, installed new cylinder sleeve, new piston, bearing, rod and clips. (Wiseco stock size), polished head. Polished clutch cover. Carburetor rebuilt and has stock jets. Also has Boyesen Reeds. Exhaust pipe is a polished FMF GOLD SERIES with new seals and mounting springs and DG silencer..... Shock and forks rebuilt with all new seals and bushings. . . New wheel bearings, rear fender, fork boots, levers, tire, brakes, bar pad, Renthal Handlebars, grips, decals / graphics, fuel and vent lines, spark plug. New brake fluid, transmission oil, and coolant. Also will include some old parts including a CDI unit and a shop manual and bike decals you can put on. Have over $2000 invested without labor. Offered for sale is a very original 1992 Kawasaki KX250 dirtbike. This bike was purchased as a left over in 1993 and unlike most motocross bikes of this vintage, has never seen a motocross track before. It was used sparingly over the 1st 10 or so years around a big farm and neighboring farms in Basking Ridge NJ. It was put away in the early 2000s and sort of forgotten about until I discovered it about a 2 weeks ago. Fortunately it was drained of all of the fuel and stored in a climate controlled facility so the bike didn't need more than a rinse, oil change, and a fresh tank of gas. Long story short it started on the 3rd kick and runs/rides awesome. Very powerful bike through all of the gears and the brakes work great to slow you down. My experience with the bike has been limited to the the last two weeks, but the only part of the bike that seems to need attention is the suspension. The front suspension works great but the fork seals seem to be weeping some oil, and the rear shock is a little bouncy(don't know if it is an adjustment or needs to be rebuilt).
