What can you say about the legendary R75/5 that hasn't already been said? First modern BMW (electric start) and the "other" bike in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.This has been mine since 1994. It has served me well, crossing the country multiple times in style. Two owner bike, it was purchased in Chicago from a dealer as one-owner used in May of 1994. I have done very little apart from regular riding and regular maintenance. It has the untouched varnish of a beautiful old machine. That said, I did have Irv Seaver in Orange, CA take apart the motor and replace all the seals a few years ago, and last year the vintage BMW specialists Black Kat Motor Werks fixed the speedo, worked out some electrical gremlins, put on new shocks, redid the front fork oil and a bunch of other things they noticed. It is ready to ride. It starts great, rides awesome, charges great. No leaks that I am aware of. Tires are great.The nits: couple of minor nicks in the tank (shown in photos) and blue striping has worn in a couple of spots. Tail light housing a little roughed up. Also, left side of rear fender had some battery acid spilled on it. All are easy fixes. It also has the tab to the centerstand broken off which happens to 99% of them. Easy fix, or ignore.This thing attracts attention everywhere I go. Real vintage style, totally rideable, great but not repainted or otherwise retouched.This is a very sentimental ride for me, and while I need the room and I don't ride it enough I want it to go to a great owner.Email me with questions. My K1200GT. I bought it with 9,000 miles, and have taken great care of it while I put 40,000 miles on it in the last 6 years. I am downsizing, and this has to go. My loss is your gain. Services done last fall at New Century BMW in Alhambra, CA including new tires which are 80 - 90%. Comes with keyed silver/black matching factory hard bags, a BMW tank bag, a black BMW top case. Everything works great, the bike is awesome, you won't be disappointed. The bike was $20,000 new, and still rides amazing. Power windscreen, heated grips, heated seat (rider and passenger), ABS, linked brakes, traction control, ESA, electronic programmable suspension, etc etc. Looks almost new (apart from they don't make it anymore). I just replaced windscreen with great OEM one which is much clearer than the windscreen in the photos (it's almost like new). If you want to know something please ask. I will include my integrated Garmin GPS.This is a very powerful motorcycle. It is amazing to ride. It was named best sport tourer by CycleWorld in 2007 (find on Google Search). New York Times also raved about it. CycleWorld named it one of the best used bikes in 2012.The only issues that I know of: The factory seat has some wrinkling from age and should be re-upholstered (minor job) or replaced. The tire pressure monitoring no longer works, but is an easy fix (the replaceable sensors need replacing) which I wouldn't bother doing. It has been super reliable for me.Also for sale locally. I am the 2nd owner of this DRZ. I bought it from a guy who used it for commuting. The drZ has been an outstanding bike for me. I recently bought a Harley and am now riding that more so its time to move the DRZ along. It has 18,550 on the odometer. I changed oil every 1500. lubed bearings once a year. I had the race prep done at San Clemente Rider Supply a few times. I got the FMF exhaust ($500) system a couple years ago and did an air box mod. I also had it jetted after putting on the FMF pipe. I put on a manual fuel cutoff because the vacuum one proved to be unreliable. I just changed the break pads a month ago. I did some riding off road up in the saddleback mountains while i was in the Marines. It did really well with DOT 606 tires. Since then I've just used it for a commuter bike to go to school and back. Definitely saves on the annual fuel costs. I have the title in hand. Sold as is

I'm selling my solidly reliable daily commuter. This scooter is fun and easy to maneuver on surface streets, with enough power to keep you safe. It has 26,150 miles on it. I have put on over 17,000 miles in the past 12 years.I'm the third owner. The second owner and I took great care of it--kept it garaged and serviced. The first owner managed to scrape it up a bit. It is a mechanically sound, 30-year-old bike. I have it serviced at Honda of Glendale, CA. The good: Garage kept. Tall, removable windshield for year-round riding. Large top case for lots of storage. Recently reupholstered saddle is comfy. New rear tire and rear brake, with oil change 300 miles ago. All dashboard lights have recently been replaced. Service manual included. Freeway legal--official top speed is 72 mph, but I've hit 75 mph. Great gas mileage at 60+ mpg. Agile on city streets with plenty of power. Lightweight (~250 pounds). Park anywhere, and many places for free. 1.9 gal tank. 100-mile range. Work horse of a scooter--reliable daily commuter. Easy to maintain. Fun way to get around town. The less than perfect: Burns a little oil, so it's important to keep topped off. The fuel gauge doesn't work. I use the trip odometer and fill up every ~95 miles. The dashboard clock is not settable. Cosmetically scraped up. Not really powerful enough to be safe on long stretches on LA freeways. I only use it for short frwy distances. Comes with original tool kit, large windshield, large topcase, service manual, service records, 2 ignition keys, 2 topcase keys. Contact me for more photos.
