I'm just looking to get out of this bike what I have in it. This is a very very nice original bike with very low miles that just came out of long term storage. Inside the tank is spotless. It will be an easy little project to get going and ride like it is or restore it. I bought this on Ebay awhile back as an excellent close to mint bike. It was not as listed. Don't get me wrong its really nice but if you want mint this is not for you. It will be an excellent driver or an easy resto but its not excellent to mint as it was listed. I took the carbs off and cleaned them. You'll get them with the bike obviously. You will have to set them up and change all the fluids etc. I have a brand new battery for it also. Take a good look at the pictures and email me if you have a question. It is not perfect but is an excellent bike to restore or make a cafe'. It needs a good cleaning. CLEAN TITLE IN HAND. I just drove this bike today 6/19/14. It was stored the last 2 years. The engine was oiled and sealed before storage. I put in fresh gas, changed the oil and put in a new battery. It started right up and I went for a ten mile cruise. It ran great but you might have to clean the carbs because it starts a little grumpy. The more I run it the better it runs. The tires, plugs and points were replaced just before it was stored. No leaks, No smoke, No noises. She needs a minor cleaning from being in the garage so long. Always garage kept. Inside the tank is spotless. Just look at the color on the gauges. That says it all. First please be realistic when looking at the bike pictures. It is a 1981 not a 2014. It is in excellent condition and mechanically perfect BUT it's still almost 34 years old. It is excellent but not new. It was just serviced including a brand new battery. I just rode it today 6/13/14. It starts right up. It runs good and has never given me any problems. There is no discoloring on the paint its just from the sun angle in the pics. The mileage will go up a little because I still ride it sometimes. Could use a minor cleaning and touch ups. It has some rub marks and scratches here and there but again is in excellent condition. Always garage kept. Inside the tank is spotless. It needs nothing. It is not perfect but its as close to new as you will find with only 1500 miles. I never registered it. It was used rarely as a dirt bike on tails. I have the paper work from when I bought it so you could get it registered if you wanted. I also have the bill of sale. Take a good look at the pictures and email me if you have a question. Super low original miles. It has now sat for months and I'm never going to ride it. I had this running great but now #2 and #3 carbs overflow from sitting so long. The carbs might need to be cleaned again because it floods sometimes. When the carbs don't leak it runs like a top. No leaks, No noises, No smoke. Everything works. It has the original 4 into 1 Kawasaki Kerker exhaust. The brakes were bleed, it was tuned up, etc. It will need tires they are starting to dry crack but hold air fine. I do have the other side cover that's not pictured. Take a good look at the pictures and email me if you have a question. It needs a minor cleaning and a seat cover. It starts right up and runs like a top. The electric and kick start work fine. I just drove it today 6/10/14. I originally drove it home a few years ago and never did anything with it. The engine does not leak or smoke and has no noises. I do have the side covers. The front brake does not work. I just use the back when I ride it. Take a good look at the pictures and email me if you have a question. It is not perfect but is an excellent bike to restore or make a cafe'. It needs a ton of cleaning!! It needs front brake work as stated before. I have the needed parts for repair. The right side exhaust has leaks etc. It has new tires. Again its a great running project. It has some pitting etc but has been cleaned up. This one was rough when I got it but she cleaned up nice. It has the dealer installed Kerker for Kawasaki header and muffler. Clean title in hand. Its a titled 1977 RD 400 with a lot of other parts on it. Take a good look at the pictures and email me if you have a question. NO PAYPAL. It was just painted. Not a rattle can job. A real paint job. It starts first kick. It has about 20 miles on the rebuild. I just drove it today. It needs the carbs adjusted. She bogs a little in the mid range. I have both Stinger and stock exhausts. It also comes with two extra sets of pistons, heads and jugs. The jugs were professionally honed and checked. I have the receipt. New tires, new coils, new paint, new battery, new pistons, rings and bearings. Everything works as it should. Horn, blinkers, brakes, oil injection etc all work. Like I said I was out driving it today 5/26/14. If I have time I'll ride it some more and try to dial in the carbs. If not you'll have to do it. Storage is no problem as long as its paid for first.
