Up for sale is my 1986 Harley Davidson Sportster 883. I bought the bike off a friend over the summer thinking I would have some free time to ride it and enjoy it. I got a new job and it ended up requiring that I be at work 7 days a week and now I have no time to ride it. The bike starts, runs, and idles great. Before I purchased the bike I was told the clutch was relatively new. The bike will come with a spare gas tank, new clutch cable I had, and shoulder height mini ape bars. The bike currently has straight pipes, and for the right price can include the new earth shaker pipes I just got for the bike. Pros- runs strong, new primary cover, new clutch cable, new throttle cable, new plugs and wires. Cons- due to me having plans to turn it into a bobber the bike is very bare bones, no spedo, no blinkers, no hand controls( electronic) the paint is rough, and the bike could use some new tires and front rim. The price is 3,000 OBO but I will honestly entertain any offer. I am not fermiliar with the motorcycle market, as this was my first bike. The clutch is good, brakes are good, suspension is a little soft, but not blown, the headlight, tail light & trip odometer all operate properly. Complete top & bottom end rebuild, crank was balanced, cylinder bored to the 1st oversize, Wiseco piston & rings installed. The cylinder head was treated to the "Eric Gorr mod" (the squish band angle was corrected, the head was decked, and a manual decompression valve was machined in to the head for easy starting. It also has a DG pipe and silencer, Boyesen reeds, IMS shifter, new clutch, etc etc. The bike has more than enough power for even the most experienced rider. Tons of compression and runs best on VP110 racing fuel and Bel-Ray H1-R synthetic premix at 40:1. The shock and forks were also rebuilt and set up for a 200-220 lb rider. The bike is so smooth through even the roughest terrain. Pro Taper bars, Acerbis hand guards, Scott grips, RK chain and JT sprockets, new grooved brake shoes front and rear, new decals added. The lights and odometer work, the tool bag has the full compliment of OEM tools. The bike has 8 hours of total run time on it. About 1 hour of break in time and approximately 7 hours of ride time.
